It would be nice to get a psych profile on all the candidates, but it seems more important in this country to know their finances, rather than their mental faculties.

Leave it to Bigfoot-in-the-Mouth to tell us to google an organization that doesn’t exist, New Orleans Levy(SIC) Board. “Levies” mean tariffs collected; “to levy” means to impose and collect taxes–a thought I know makes you neoCONs shudder. Or perhaps you mean the Jewish family name “Levy,” Mr. bigfoot-in-the-mouth?
There is, however, a New Orleans Levee Board, which deals with embankments to prevent flooding. But those who google it should beware of all the neoCON spin surfacing to put all the blame on it, which is obviously what bigfoot-in-the-mouth has been reading, even though he can’t spell the name correctly.

Report points to war in Iraq and Pakistan’s tribal areas as allowing Al Qaeda to regroup.

The release of a new report Tuesday that says Al Qaeda has reorganized to pre-9/11 strength and is preparing for a major US strike has sparked debate among government officials and observers about the Bush administration’s foreign policy and counterterrorism efforts. The National Intelligence Estimate assessment indicates that the Islamic terrorist organization’s rise has been bolstered by the Iraq war and the failure to counter extremism in Pakistan’s tribal areas.

“The Terrorist Threat to the US Homeland” report focuses on the next three years and is the first report to review the potential for terrorist attacks exclusively in the United States, reports The Boston Globe. The nation’s 16 intelligence agencies began compiling the report last October and completed their assessment in June. Though the report indicated that Hizbullah may become a threat if the US takes action against Iran or seriously threatens or attacks the Islamic organization, the majority of the report focused on the “rejuvenating effect the Iraq war has had on Al Qaeda.”

Yeah, Bush is making you so much safer.

Ever hear of the New Orleans Levy Board? And entire local bureaucracy devoted to nothing but the New Orleans Levies. Hence the name, New Orleans Levy Board. Google ‘em up sometime if you want to learn something.

It would appear that you, sir, are the fraud. The Intercoastal Waterway has nothing to do with the levies in New Orleans, nor vice-versa. The levies in Louisiana are locally controlled.
