Taliban stages rare, direct attack on U.S. base.

A day after Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai declared the Taliban “defeated” and “hiding,” “a group of 75 Taliban militants tried to overrun a U.S.-led coalition base in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday, a rare frontal attack that left more than 20 militants dead, the coalition said in a statement.”

either that or they thought the base was underpopulated sarge. either way a frontal assault on fortified positions isn’t usually the best career move. The article I read suggested they attacked on 3 sides, instead of a concentrated attack on one.

He shows her the way. As they are walking, he notices that she turns to look back at the patrolman across the street.

    SALESMAN:
(indicating the ladies room) Over there.

Marion goes in. At the sink, she takes her automobile certificates from her purse, then removes the cash envelope and counts out seven hundred dollars. She returns to the waiting salesman, money and papers in hand.

    SALESMAN:
(nervously) Ah–I think you’d better take it for a trial spin. Don’t want any bad word of mouth about California Charlie.

    MARION:
I’d really rather not. Can’t we just settle this?

    SALESMAN:
I uh, might as well be perfectly honest with you, ma’am. It’s not that I don’t trust you, but uh–

The only way the war on terror ™ could have succeeded would be if the retards in charge concentrated on Afghanistan, and used the supporting world opinion to leverage it into $$$ into civic projects.

The majority of Afghanistan hate the Jihadis, and actively support us. The pushtun could be won over with civic projects, other hearts and minds and common sense.

Instead we invade Iraq in a blatant “lets steal their oil” plan. The whole world, and not just the moslems, see the invasion of Iraq for what it is (other than 30% really moronic Americans), and try to backpedal from supporting us (other than UK and Poland, which is getting derision, condescending and jeers from the USA for its efforts – no monetary or military help for Poland).

The moslems are all united in opposing the USA globally now (which doesnt prevent the Shia from hating the Sunni and vice versa).

We have lost the one chance to really be a world leader in the combatting of moslem extremism, we have lost the world opinion, we have lost both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hamid Karzai is a former employee of US oil company Unocal , Bush appointed President of Afghan is busy visiting the White House. I also noticed that each year Afghanistan has a record making potty fields to sell cocaine. Now that’s a good thing for drug pushers like Gonzales’s sister Teresa Gonzales. Yes Teresa a career drug pusher is doing great business. Karzai let his home and went to America. He did good by working for Unocal and meeting the loser George W. Bush. Yes and Cheney remembered him when the plan to get the rights of Afghan oil. Yes Hamid got the top job when the Bush Administration needed a puppet as President. He continues to do as he’s told and his first act as Afghan President was to sign oil rights over to Halliburton. George W. Bush the worse businessman in the history of business and who failed at every business his Father gave him looked to Hamid to do the job.
Most Americans and the media choose to use the Libby lost of memory defense as the Taliban were guest of then Governor George W. Bush and Bush made sure they were given a tour of Washington.
Yes Bush and his good friends the Taliban even made use the money kept coming in with the large fields of potties grown for cocaine. But it’s much easier to forget that information and keep believing the lies told by the White House.
Now I heard from a soldier is Afghan it’s cheaper to buy cocaine then cigarettes. I guess Bush knew what business to invest in that would bring him the biggest profit. Cheney chose oil, Bush chose cocaine.
