Brits expect U.S. withdrawal from Iraq.

The Guardian reports, “British officials believe that Washington will signal its intention to reduce US troop numbers after a much-anticipated report next month by its top commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, clearing the way for Gordon Brown to announce a British withdrawal in parliament the following month. An official said: ‘We do believe we are nearly there.’”

Yah mean Bush is gonna “cut and run”. Come on Bushbots. What do you think of that? Yer leadur is an islamo-facist sissy lover. And what about this Brown….pulling his troops out. What kind of ally is he? Your thoughts…..

    Pure speculation.

  3. dlet says:

Gordon Brown has said that a decision to withdraw UK troops will be based solely on British military advice.

Oh. That’s a keeper. Expect a withdrawal date soon.

Much like the assessment that you have man parts. Pure speculation.

If you went to Iraq though, we might be more inclined to believe you possess them.

  8. Tobey Tall says:

Washington can only keep the surge till April then troops have to have home time …….therefore a big reduction

no matter what bullshit bush says troop reductions will start in April

  9. km4 says:

Bush can now be labeled a surrender monkey ( watch them eat their own ) in addition to being the worst Pres. in US history.

  10. Snowball says:

How many times have we heard this line “leaked” from the Bush regime only to have continued occupation and more escalation? It’s meant to keep public criticism at bay, nothing more.

Until then, just more lies from the scumbag politicians.

wars lost Bush is an arse. many people dead , 1 country in total ruin

  17. Ophelia Heinie says:

Hahahahaha! Bush will withdraw troops from Iraq right after he performs an abortion on the White House lawn!

With another country nearing ruin…from the inside. The worst kind. Neo-cons are the cancer of America.

  19. Serenity Now says:

We will still have troops in Iraq when Bush leaves office. His plan is painfully obvious. Hold on until his term is up leave all of his mess for the next President and when things have finally deteriorated to regional conflict (which is inevitable), Bush and the rest of his minions can throw up their hands and claim it isn’t their fault.

    16 / “Don’t forget Poland”

Even in Scotland the Poles get £3500 settlement fees , free housing, Free work visas, free healthcare, and free buses to the UK ((thanks Tony Blair)) part of the deal to join the Coalition

In my small city in Scotland ( Elgin) 35,000 = 2000 Poles are here , we now have Polish Newsletters, Polish bakers , Polish Shops,

    NO JOBS LEFT

I dont blame the Poles . All they want is a better life, What I dont aggree with is BUSH/BLAIR doing this skullduggery all for a lousy war , that did nothing for anybody

The Only winners of this war are the POLES

  21. Tobey Tall says:

Bloody Poles are everywhere , its a joke

every nook and granny there a bloody Pole these days

    millions of them

    DONT MENTION THE POLES

  22. dlet says:

    Dang Tobey,

I had no idea that was happening. Selling part of your country for an ally. Bribery is a good word. Again the people(Poles) aren’t to blame it’s the pols in the backroom cutting deals for an illegal war that makes me sick.

  23. DittoHeads Suck says:

#15 Tobey thanks for the link! The Guardian is a great source. And I fully agree with the author of the story, as well as what the story says, the Iraqi’s are not stupid, maybe not as educated as the west, but those people woke up to what the reality was. America came not for WMD, not for “Freedom” for the Iraqi people, but to steal their oil. And I recently read an article about them wanting to build a pipeline to Isreal, follow the money is all I gotta say.

  24. kclaf says:

How utterly, utterly laughable and so obviously another ploy to have the nutters fall right in line. I would find it hard to believe that the Brit’s are going to believe this bs. IF this were to actually happen you can bet the oil has been secured to the benefit of the Bushie’s.

  25. JG says:

    This is a total lie.

  26. Gregor Samsa says:

The Amazingly Shrinking “Coalition of the Willing”.

I suppose this means Gordon is a “surrender monkey”. Or a “appeaser”. Or any other of many lovely names the Bush loyalists have for anyone who criticizes the occupation of Iraq.

    Yep. Plain and simple.

  28. Alejandro says:

In September we will hear “The Surge worked!”
    “See! Told ya!”

Whatever. Whatever you say. Uh huh. The surge worked. Now bring them home.

“Oh, we’ll bring them home. By this time next year we’ll have troops back down to pre-surge levels.”

    Oh, that’s great.

  29. upside00 says:

Even the English (Who actually created Iraq) have figured out that this pooch is already screwed and will be coming to their senses and bringing their troops home.

Leaves Dubya as the last idiot standing… give or take a few other “coalition” troops in the Green Zone.

  30. Probus says:

If the British want to withdraw troops they will have to make the first move. Bush will never do it. He has said that the next president will have to make this decision. Himself he will never put troop withdrawal on the table. PM Brown should announce a date for a gradual redeployment of all his troops. Petraeus’ report next month will ask for more time. He will ask for more troops. Plans are already underway for a 2nd surge. He will say what O’Hanlon and Pollack are saying – let’s be patient, give us more time. The surge has failed and waiting 6 more months will not change the outcome.

    Two words: Saudi Arabia

Wasn’t there flights to and from Saudi Arabia involving ol’ Tom Kontogiannis and several Congressmen?

Maybe the Feds didn’t fingerprint Kontogiannis last February because they were keeping his guilty plea secret.

You have to wonder if Carol Lam hadn’t indicted Wilkes and Foggo when she did whether any of this would ever have come out.

You also have to wonder how much it won’t come out because Carol Lam is gone.

Funny how things keep coming back to the NSA wiretaps.

The funder of the Saudi Arabia trip (Ziyad Abduljawad) may be (had been?) a large stakeholder in SYS Technologies according to a 2005 story found on European Tribune

    http://www.eurotrib.com/story/2005/12/9/85532/2695

I found this while googling a possible connection of The Big Kont with The Hammer, Tom Delay via the US Family Network and the house that USFN purchased in DC for Delay (and other’s) use.

the cloaking could be due to an ongoing investigation into espionage. if that road leads somewhere, this story could be turn into the biggest spy bust in our nation’s history if foggo is involved. as cia #3, he had access to some of the most sensitive info our country has.

  32. deros says:

Support our troops and give them a chance for a long useful life. Bring them home now and yes bring the Brits home too.

  33. Francois says:

This story is rather misleading, unless you read the entire article.
