Joe, this is why you have 2% or less in the Democratic Presidential Polls. You are talking bullsh*t and you know it.
If Washington, Franklin and our other Revolutionary leaders were living today, they would buy guns, raise an insurgent army and attack the White House and Congress and hang nearly everyone they could catch and then call for a Constitutional Convention. They would also force much of the South out of the Union for inbreeding “Git ‘er done!”
Then they would adopt a more Parlimentary form of government and preclude any corporate contibutions to elections and limit personal contributions to $200 and fund elections from the general treasury. Also, screwing with germandering (Tom Delay et al) and jiggling the ballot box would be punished by death.
Yes, we’d go back to a Republic by the people and for the people.

Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) said he is opposed to impeachment proceedings because they would disrupt Congressional business.

The point you keep missing is this: other than tying the U.S. to Israel, you have failed — in using the Duelfer Report — to show that Iraq was a “gathering threat” to the U.S. Bush would have us believe that Saddam’s dream of restarting his WMD programs was directly aimed at the U.S. (”mushroom clouds” and all that).

Based on what I have read in the report, the information supports this basic premise most people were saying from the start: we invaded Iraq based on insinuations and suggestions of what Iraq and Saddam might do.

Was Saddam a threat to the U.S. when we invaded? No. Would he have been a threat in the future, had we not invaded? Who knows? But you can’t go around invading countries and throwing out their leaders because of something that might happen. Bush didn’t let the weapons inspectors finish their job. Iraq had actually been in the process of destroying outlawed missiles, under the watchful eyes of the U.N., when we invaded (it’s in the Report). And Tyler Drumheller, a former CIA agent, has said that he told George Tenent to NOT let info gleaned from “Curveball” be included in Powell’s speech to the U.N. Tenent said he’d take care of it; the informant was not trustworthy. The info was in the speech anyway. It was faulty intelligence, yes, but the administration was warned to not use it. They ignored the warning because it didn’t support Bush’s desire to invade Iraq.

As chairman of the powerful Foreign Relations Committee he could put together a subcommittee just to investigate these legitimate claims. He can start with the justification for starting a preemptive invasion into Iraq for the false claim that Iraq had WMDs. And since articles of impeachment can only be brought up in the House he could investigate criminal charges and turn over the committee’s report to the House counterpart subcommittee.

Don’t feed the trolls! No matter how stupid and desperate they are. They are paid by Karl Rove to go on Progressive sites and cause ‘confusion’. He saw how the Republicans butts got kicked in 2006 and knew it was a firestorm that came together on the Progressive sites. So, his plan is to PAY some stupid 23 year old kid who just graduated from Pat Robertson U (or whatever) to come on these sites and antagonize. He actually thinks this will work.

Just ignore them and they will go away. When you respond, Karl thinks his little plan is working.

I have seen this quote in several locations including wikipedia, where they characterize it as a sourced quote, but do not give the source!
I also found it on a site examining the JFK Jr. death. Reporter MCclendon believed GHW Bush met with the Iranians prior to the election of Reagan, to get them to hold onto the hostages until after the election. She was an interesting lady, and along the lines of the venerable Helen Thomas.
You can google her name with GHW Bush and find multiple hits.
