Bush I did everything right, Bush II did everything wrong – but he did it with the backing of Congress.
Because the war has been a botch so far, Democrats and Republicans are attacking one another, when they aren’t attacking themselves. The dialog of discord echoes across America.
So now we’re fighting them over there to incite more terrorists to come attack us here so we can continue to fight them over there forever and nobody will complain.
I hate to agree with Peter Abelard, but on this one, he appears to be correct. Don’t bother going to Bykofsky’s home page: it appears to be a blank site intended to deter flames. Check his short bio and list of articles here: (http://www.philly.com/dailynews/columnists/stu_bykofsky/).

Let me guess, TP, in a couple of days will be Mr P.’s alts talking to himself. Nice. Welcome to obscurity TP. I would go to huffpo but they can’t seem to post your comment within 2 hours. Any suggestions?
Sorry, but one final rant. How the f do you chase away Zooey and True??? Are you stoned? Me, that is ok. I am kind of a jerk but you have two stalwarts on your site and you do everything you can to chase them away. Were you bought by Rupert Murdoch and nobody found out???
Glenda, AB is good and I do visit but I am not gay so I don’t feel too accepted. C & L is a possibility. I will look at smirking, I don’t think I have ever been there. Thank you very much.
JPark > AmericaBlog’s owner is a Gay man with a chip on his shoulder. Some of the threads are OK, but a recent one on YouTube Gay dating turned me off.
You know, he has a point. I mean, it’s a horrible sentiment, but he’s basically saying that Bush has ruined our national unity, distracted us from the war on terror, and it may take another terrorist attack to shock the misled masses into remembering what we were SUPPOSED to be doing all this time.
The man who wrote that is an idiot.
If he was trying to criticize Bush or the American public, he failed.
If he was trying to support Bush and hope for another attack on America to validate himself, then he is one sick f–k.
JPark > none of the current blogs sites tickle my fancy. Huffington Post has deleted my comments in the past, so I ignore that site. AmericaBlog is turning into a all Gay issues site. DailyKos is interesting to read sometimes, but I do not like the format. We need a new site.
I heard someone say recently that the Dems have been caving in on the big issues because they have been threatened.
Does anyone think that this might be the case?
If so, any thoughts as to what that threat might be?
The actions of the Dems since early this year have been truly perplexing, and I’m not convinced that we’ve received a believable explanation yet.
I can only hope that the person who made the statement referenced in the first paragraph is seriously mistaken. If not, our nation is surely headed into previously uncharted waters.

I’m not sure what your problem is, I post at Huffington Post quit frequently and my posts always appear instantly. You have to have your screen set to “expand” and “refresh” to see your post right away.
One site that I really wish people would visit is http://www.mcclatchydc.com/. I’m sure you will recognize the name McClatchy. They are the only MSM today that is really doing investigative reporting and they are more often than not the first to break a story. They have a comments section. The problem is that no one posts there. It’s pretty lonely!

Actually, it takes them about an hour to ban you. And then they block your IP address from even accessing their site. So, if you work for a large company, go there and get banned. That will mean that no one in your company will be able to access redstate.com since most business’ have only one IP address.
If you want to post to a conservative website, go to Politico.com. Sometimes I am allowed to post there and other times not. I haven’t figured that one out yet.
But, if you want a really serious blog with no trolls, go to Daily Kos. Those folks are really serious over there.
bilbo, I am the last person that is looking for no trolls. I am looking not to get deleted and banned for stating my liberal opinion. The Red State thing was a joke.

No thanks, bilbo. Daily Kos ruthlessly censors all posts that question the official mythology of nine*eleven. I get that enough here…I don’t need to go elsewhere to be treated in that manner.
JPark > Attytood has a quick filter, so the posts go up quick and the owner seems open to getting more exposure. I have never had any post deleted, but usually just one thread put up daily. Which means the subject can be boring for that day.
hat mouth-breathing neocon apologist trolls such as yourself are immune to irony. You pretty much have to be, else your heads would explode from the cognitive dissonance.

How can this guy live in u.s. and not realize we are still in the midst of that plan?
Another would be too risky anyway.Surely the truth would come out.The truth will come out anyway.
But these guys are using this period for all they can get.
The Dem who wrote the article in question here advocates acts of terrorism against America. Seems that is a defining characteristic of the Left, nowadays.
Look, if you want to go back and get his past articles, who the hell cares? Are we going to go out and honestly assume that a person must have the label of “liberal” or “conservative” when we all know that a person is almost always (at least!) a teensy bit of both? This whole “liberal” vs. “conservative” idea is absurd.
What is important is what he said in this article, and in the sense that he seeks to promote a political environment where DIVERSITY of OPINIONS are shunned in favor of “lessons from the past” and “the old standards”, HE IS PROMOTING RIGHT WING ideals!!!
Plus,
this guy is worried about the partisanship of the govt.
— No conservative cares about that. Conservatives know that their way is the right way, and that the Dems are too weak-minded to stop them.
—
He is saying that another attack will bring the American people together.
— Not the motive of a conservative. Hard-core conservatives would want to use an attack to invade a foreign country. But we don’t have to do that anymore, so no conservative would say such a thing.
Nope. He’s a lib. Read his bio. and I can guarantee that liberal commentors here have said the exact same thing as the author of this article.
Comment by p — August 10, 2007 @ 2:50 am
Again, if you want to go on calling people “libs” or “cons”, you have a tragically skewed view on American politics (and democratic governance in general).
Treat the issues on a one-by-one basis. (Have you never read Thomas Paine?)
In this case, this man is clearly a conservative in this article. He seeks to stifle the diversity of opinions and idealize uniformity as desirable, and that is a hallmark of a conservative viewpoint.
So saying that you “guarantee” that other commentators here have echoed the same position is a moot point. It doesn’t matter because if they have the same line of reasoning as this nitwit, they are acting nutzo-conservatively, too.
This columnist owes the 9-11 victims families an apology for his insensitive comments. 9-11 was a horribly tragic day for all Americans and for him to say something so completely insensitive is unacceptable. He should be fired for his comments.
In this case, this man is clearly a conservative in this article. He seeks to stifle the diversity of opinions and idealize uniformity as desirable, and that is a hallmark of a conservative viewpoint…
Comment by Matt — August 10, 2007 @ 3:12 am
Wrong. This man is clearly an emotional, whiny lib. He trys to answer the question “Why can’t we all just get along?”
Conservatives are looking out for the economic and strategic interests of America in the international arena. Liberals are more concerned with Bush-bashing. This guy is a whines about forest fires, for crying out loud. He doesn’t say a single thing that a conservative would care about.
Uniformity is not mentioned, but rather the emphasis is on unity. Libs have been going on and on about the difference between the classes and the political parties, in fact, the liberal talking point is “WE the PEOPLE, WE the PEOPLE, WE the PEOPLE” the don’t shut up about it. You don’t hear E Pluribus Unum from a conservative.
No, Matt, it seems you just can’t deal with the truth. Your moonbat buddy who wrote this trashy article is a lib just like you. A piece of trash.
Conservatives are looking out for the economic and strategic interests of America in the international arena.

Oh my, looks like I hit a nerve.
Oops! lol
And yet, predictably, you still don’t understand what I’m saying. You succeed only in digging your hole deeper.
Terms like “libs” or “cons” are for the simple-minded. The fact is, almost everyone is liberal on some issues, and conservative on others.
This plays right into my point, as you’ve exemplified exactly what I’m talking about… You, a shining example of what rightism does to people, cannot wrap your mind around this simple concept. To you, it seems there’s a blue team and a red team, and there is no ambiguity at all.
This is prevalent on the political right. I suspect it’s mainly due to the fact that the only definition for conservatism rests on what it opposes. In order for rightist thought to remain relevant, an enemy is required. It’s been that way since the dawn of democratic governance.
So you can imagine how unsurprised I am to see that you feel that everyone else out there is exactly like you in that they adhere strictly to either the liberal label or the conservative label. (Goebbels:“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it people will eventually come to believe it.â€) Fortunately, however, there are enough people out there who see things rationally and realize that people have different opinions on the issues. They don’t go around saying “That liberal” or “That conservative” because it’s so much more complicated than that.
Now, I know, Rush Limbaugh blabbers on about this, Ann Coulter blabs about that, and Bill O’Reilly even went so far as to characterize the supposed struggle between “conservatives” and “liberals” as a WAR! (ie. “Culture Warrior”?? pffft.) This, of course, is extremely damaging to the nation. But I suppose it’s ok as long as red, white and blue are on the cover.
You are being manipulated. You are a tool. You have bought up the hate that is at the very core of the ideology as it exists today, and it has caused you to see things in an inaccurate manner.
Having read Bykofsky for many years — many times with a tinfoil hat on to minimize the possible brain damage that could result — I wouldn’t classify him as liberal or conservative. He’s an egomaniac nutjob whose last great Quixotic effort involved trying to stop a proposed smoking ban in Philadelphia bars and restaurants that eventually became law.
whether he, or Peter Retard considetrs himself a liberal, conservative, fascist, etc is irrelevant. the fact is the guy needs professional help. he’s freaking crazy, as is little Peter.
Please take these creeps seriously…we are in Portland, OR, where there are terrorism drills scheduled for August and October. Look up Noble Resolve, and start calling your Congresspeople to ask why Peter DeFazio is being denied full disclosure on NSPD 51.
NSPD 51, with its sections on Continuity of Government under King George, could greatly impact what is being rehearsed…could be Martial Law, or use of the National Guard on crowds.
This step toward a Fascist dictatorship could be why these loons think the US needs another 9-11.
You talk so much, but say so very little.
I proved that this douche, is, in fact, a Liberal Dem, like yourself.
The fact that you can’t handle reality further proves my point.

AMEN, JPark!
I think the trolls rule this site. We need to go elsewhere.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:35 pmI believe I still have your email address. We can talk about a new site, OK?
trueblue > a real progressive blog site is needed badly. One that bans Bush loving trolls.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:37 pmLet me guess, TP, in a couple of days will be Mr P.’s alts talking to himself. Nice. Welcome to obscurity TP. I would go to huffpo but they can’t seem to post your comment within 2 hours. Any suggestions?
August 9th, 2007 at 9:37 pmI’m going over to FDL, someone else already has this screen name, so I chose another… see ya!
August 9th, 2007 at 9:40 pmHmm, true, I don’t know why but my post was deleted (shocking). I am looking forward to hearing from you.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:41 pmFDL is awfully woman centered. Americablog is gay centered. How about a blog for liberals? Something like TP a year ago.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:43 pm“Any suggestions?”
August 9th, 2007 at 9:44 pmJPark, americablog, crooksandliars and thesmirkingchimp.
Sorry, but one final rant. How the f do you chase away Zooey and True??? Are you stoned? Me, that is ok. I am kind of a jerk but you have two stalwarts on your site and you do everything you can to chase them away. Were you bought by Rupert Murdoch and nobody found out???
August 9th, 2007 at 9:45 pmGlenda, AB is good and I do visit but I am not gay so I don’t feel too accepted. C & L is a possibility. I will look at smirking, I don’t think I have ever been there. Thank you very much.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:46 pmJPark > AmericaBlog’s owner is a Gay man with a chip on his shoulder. Some of the threads are OK, but a recent one on YouTube Gay dating turned me off.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:47 pmYou know, he has a point. I mean, it’s a horrible sentiment, but he’s basically saying that Bush has ruined our national unity, distracted us from the war on terror, and it may take another terrorist attack to shock the misled masses into remembering what we were SUPPOSED to be doing all this time.
He phrased it like an idiot, though.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:47 pmJay, I am glad you responded!!! You seem to be a lot like me (no offense). Do you have any blogs you really like?
August 9th, 2007 at 9:51 pmThe man who wrote that is an idiot.
August 9th, 2007 at 9:54 pmIf he was trying to criticize Bush or the American public, he failed.

August 9th, 2007 at 10:00 pmTMM, you would be a GREAT addition to wherever we go. Maybe one of us has the cojones to start a blog (not me).
August 9th, 2007 at 10:01 pmJPark > none of the current blogs sites tickle my fancy. Huffington Post has deleted my comments in the past, so I ignore that site. Nice to hear from you as well.
Remember when I got all the email addresses and we coordinated our own TP strike?
That was great. It was American activism in practice.
Guess we need to do it again.
I don’t know about you fellow posters, but it makes me feel great that we have each other, and (still) have the freedom of choice.
August 9th, 2007 at 10:03 pmI heard someone say recently that the Dems have been caving in on the big issues because they have been threatened.
Anyone?

Actually, it takes them about an hour to ban you. And then they block your IP address from even accessing their site. So, if you work for a large company, go there and get banned. That will mean that no one in your company will be able to access redstate.com since most business’ have only one IP address.
If you want to post to a conservative website, go to Politico.com. Sometimes I am allowed to post there and other times not. I haven’t figured that one out yet.

Not the motive of a conservative. Hard-core conservatives would want to use an attack to invade a foreign country. But we don’t have to do that anymore, so no conservative would say such a thing.

August 10th, 2007 at 3:12 amThis columnist owes the 9-11 victims families an apology for his insensitive comments. 9-11 was a horribly tragic day for all Americans and for him to say something so completely insensitive is unacceptable. He should be fired for his comments.

August 10th, 2007 at 7:59 amHaving read Bykofsky for many years — many times with a tinfoil hat on to minimize the possible brain damage that could result — I wouldn’t classify him as liberal or conservative. He’s an egomaniac nutjob whose last great Quixotic effort involved trying to stop a proposed smoking ban in Philadelphia bars and restaurants that eventually became law.
August 10th, 2007 at 8:14 amwhether he, or Peter Retard considetrs himself a liberal, conservative, fascist, etc is irrelevant. the fact is the guy needs professional help. he’s freaking crazy, as is little Peter.
August 10th, 2007 at 10:04 amHey,
Third effort –

Why do you hate America?
August 10th, 2007 at 1:25 pmAt first I wasn’t sure how to take this. This commentary on it was useful:
