Just one black mark? Bush's legacy is so full of black marks and failing grades that his entire presidency is one huge blackout.

Wilson successfully debunked the false claim that Saddam tried to buy yellow cake uranium from Niger - the 16 words removed from the SOTU speech.

Not exactly, since the famed "sixteen words" referred to British intelligence.

However, the Honorable Ambassador Wilson was sent on his mission to Niger in late February of 2002, slightly more than a year before the invasion. Prior to the invasion (January through February of 2003), he wrote two op-ed pieces and gave two interviews in which he opposed the invasion, but completely accepted the idea that Iraq had banned weapons. We never heard a single word from the Honorable Mr Wilson about what he didn't find in Niger until July of 2003, three months after the invasion, when his words would do no good -- other than to undermine the administration -- but also after he could be fairly certain that our troops on the ground weren't going to find anything to contradict his claims.

He opposed the invasion, so where was he with his information concerning Iraq's attempts to purchase "yellowcake" before the invasion, when such could actually have made a difference?

That is why Fitzgerald asked for the maximum sentense, if you remember.

Actually, under our system of laws, the final word on the legal details are the courts -- and Mr Fitzgerald was unable to even bring an indictment.

My friends on the left are all using the mantra that Lewis Libby's obstruction prevented further prosecutions, but both Richard Armitage and Karl Rove admitted that they had discussed Mrs Wilson's CIA connection with reporters, and Mr Armitage's conversation with Bob Woodward is on tape. It's difficult to see how Mr Libby could have obstructed anything there.

Joe Wilson is a true American patriot.

His wife, Valerie Plame Wilson, is a true American patriot.

Karl Rove is the scum of the earth...er, or maybe a Turd Blossom.

Dick Cheney is the scum of the earth.

Scooter Libby is the scum of the earth.

George W. Bush is the scum of the earth.

In fact, anyone that participated in the outing of Valerie Plame Wilson, a covert CIA operative, in pursuit of some purely partisan political agenda are the scum of the earth...scumbags that are nothing more than latter day Benedict Arnolds...and about as unpatriotic as an American citizen can get.

Even though these scumbags will probably never serve any jail time for their betrayal of our democracy, hopefully future American history books will put an asterisk beside their names with an asterisk at the bottom of each page with the words "lying, unpatriotic scumbag" beside the asterisk...just so future generations of American school children will know who betrayed them.

As for "honorable"
Hello!
The reason the word Honorable was used at all, was because the political class all knew of the cracks, crevices and conundrums in the Constitution, but were HONORABLE men, in that they never forced those cracks open, thereby violating the Constitutional santicity. Bush et al, are NOT honorable for that very reason. They have twisted, and pried every fissure int he Constitution open in their vain attempt of one party domination. They all need to be arrest, tried and hung for Treason.
And Sharon, NO Unconsitutional Presidential signins statement can do what you claim. Those statement are meant as a way to supposedly tell the executive branch how to interpret the law to carry out the law, not make new law. THAT is the leg's power.
Executive Dumbshiit does not make law. PERIOD.

Rove outed Plame's status as a covert agent. He broke the law. He should have gone to jail. Libby was made the scapegoat to protect Rove. Plus Fitzgerald gave him immunity in return for his testimony.

Isn't Johnny Swank just the cutest pissant ever? Check out this logic

"She was not outed. If she was, there would have been more fifrings(sic) and resignations."

That 's the problem we have little pissant, she was outed and there were no firings.

Typical Bushlicker logic, Bush says he is a good man and so therefore he is a good man. Dumbf*ck.

Dana, please refer to Patrick Fitzgerald's quote, #72 above. He is, after all, under our system of law, the last word on the legal details of this case. And, as I'm sure you are well-aware, but pretending to forget, part of the reason indictments were NOT issued was the obstruction of justice by Scooter Libby. That is why Fitzgerald asked for the maximum sentense, if you remember.

The entire covert intelligence community cares about Plame's outing. It puts them all at risk, and they know they cannot trust their own government to protect their identities -- or their lives.

Nobody but the far left fringe of the democratic progressive party gives a damn about Plame! She was not outed. If she was, there would have been more fifrings and resignations. Get over it!!!

I do love the fact that the democrats failed miserably at all of their attempts to destroy Rove. He left on his own terms!! You could not "get him"!!! Strike up another victory for Bush, who is apparently smarter than you!!! Your not going to "get him" either. Please keep trying though. I love to watch you fail!!! The day just keeps getting better.

I have to ask: If Mrs Wilson was truly covert under the requirements of the law, and Patrick Fitzgerald had two confessions, from Richard Armitage and Karl Rove, that they had discussed her CIA assignment with reporters (Mr Armitage's is on tape!), why is it that Mr Fitzgerald did not indict either of these gentlemen?

The real reason is simple: Mrs Wilson, though still classified as a NOC by the CIA, really did not meet the requirements of the law for prosecution of divulging her identity under the IIPA

Does dandelion wine complement anything?
Or does it just give you the "fluffs"?

American People are thinking, and not being so "caught-up" by Demogogery ,( Derived
from Devil influenced), or the like. Unfortunately, this open-thinking and siscourses are
a bit too late to have offset the kingdom of the Big Four, ie Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and
Rowe! Yes, it is still possible to remove crooked voting machines, but it is going to take
a lot of letters and Emails to Senators and Congress! But can you stop or influence
the "Big Court" to weigh in on this? Get real! Aren't we really residing in the Plutocracy
of the weathiest, rather than a Democracy, as was intended by our Founding Fathers! We
must. otf course, regain our Democracy for it's citizens, by writing, writing, writing!!!

As for the Red Wine, etc, it is not that great an idea to mix Red Wine drinking with
drinking Mexican beer. You not only get real diarrhea, you are also prone to getting
verbal diarrhea!! Isn't that the PITTS! Please, no puns!

Thank you, " Rocky Mountain Dandelion"
