On the other hand, if there are any patriots in the NFL, players and managers alike, Democrat, Republican, or Independent, who don’t want one of their fallen NFLers “clipped” by the Republicans in the White House, they should petition “as one united voice” for the White House to come clean over the death of Pat Tillman.

If they don’t, then the NFL players and managers, by remaining silent, are indicating that they are siding with the cover-up of Pat Tillman’s death and condoning the actions of the worst and most corrupt administration in American history.

It’s as simple as that.

evidently a soldier… he basically told sam that he shouldnt be talking about the stories about walter reed, lost benefits, and other scandals associated with the military, because it hurts recruitment…

i swear… he said “we tell them one thing… tell them they will be taken care of… the military will take care of you… … and then they see these stories… and find out that’s not what happens… and they don’t want to join…” (paraphrasing)

sam couldn’t keep him on the line, begged off, saying he didn’t know where the guy was going… but it was fairly surreal…

the guy sounded like he was trying to intimidate the messeger…

This isn’t the battle, sir, this is just blowing off steam from the frustrations and stress of the real battle, out on the streets, and in the woods.
The real battle of living and practicing democracy, and respecting others no matter their station in lifre, or their religious beliefs.
Maybe it’s time you took a break from your administrative position, take a vacation, and when you come back spend a year or three on the assembly line, or out in the fields, or in the classroom with the people who make your position possible.
Just a suggestion.

It is exactly this type of “bush rattling” that has ruined this site. Think Progress used to have a good reputation. Now, many serious posters are abandoning it because of the incessant troll fighting. It appears that for some troll fighting is more fun than discussing the very serious situation our nation finds itself in.
