  1. Raven Says:

Provisions of his new contact included shaving his eyebrows,
and wearing a rainbow colored knitted beanie instead of a cowboy hat.

  2. Raven Says:

    (contract)

  3. Texasjuice Says:

IMUS…in my pants but I cleaned it up.

  4. Texasjuice Says:

Oh shite, I must have fell asleep on the news of Imus possible return to the air. Just more hot air blather from the RIECH.

  5. ∞Ω Says:

It figures it is a rightwing station.
At least his craggy visage won’t be seen (or heard) on tube.

  6. lostcosts Says:

    Texasjuice-

IMUS is a left winger. Also, good for him.

Does anyone remember Freedom of Speech? It goes both ways.

What he said was not right or civil but not something to lose his job for?

  7. KH Says:

    This is getting too funny.
Any kind of a relevant post doesn’t show up but a non-relevant post does.
Seems to have been happening quite a bit over the last couple of weeks.
Some threads seem to eliminate posts automatically.

  8. lostcosts Says:

    If IMUS is right wing…

What do you consider left wing? Stalin?

  9. thehim Says:

Imus isn’t really left-wing or right-wing. He’s about as independent as they come. Too many people forget how much he supported Bill Clinton in 1992.

  10. Michael Savage, PhD Says:

Imus should be back on the air. CBS violated his contract and he apologized for his comment. Now the left wing nuts in San Fransisco are trying to get Savage fired too. I don’t know what happened to free speech.

  11. Keith H. Says:

    Test . . . Test

  12. Gravy--May Thy Trip Be Rapacious Says:

I don’t know what happened to free speech.

You need to read the DFL Handbook for Dhimmitude and Passivity and concentrate on their core beliefs. Shall I?

    Ahem…

“When liberals speak its free speech”

“When conservatives speak its hate speech”

Remember, free speech is only for liberals and THEY decide what YOU get to say.

  13. Homer S. Says:

    Michael “Weiner”, Hmmmmm, tasty.

  14. America'sGotBadTaste Says:

“I mus” admit, I don’t know what the fuss is all about.

  15. Zooey Says:

    **yawn**

  16. Gravey'sleftbehind Says:

    12. Thanks for your “straw dog” argument, now STFU.

  17. Gravey'sleftbehind Says:

Oh, and Gravy, we don’t “hate” you. It’s more pity.

  18. Dave Says:

Um, my ears did not deceive me, Imus endorsed Bush and with great rigor. I’m sure his viewpoints could cross many spectrums, but his demise was from his “right wing” speech, racist.

  19. Gravy--May Thy Trip Be Rapacious Says:

Oh, and Gravy, we don’t “hate” you. It’s more pity.

I appreciate that. Now send me some money.

  20. Ringo Says:

I can never understand a word Imus says anyhow.

  21. lostcosts Says:

    So racist is right wing…interesting!

Such great blindness you have Dave.

  22. Yat Says:

Come on now, Dave once saw a black guy and he sits next to an asian guy in class. He is down with the struggle.

  23. dbadass Says:

Excellent! I know a whole lot of 40 something white men who really miss this mumbling cokehead

  24. Bill Says:

Right wing. Left wing. What a bunch of crap. He is a master at taking an opposite position to generate some of the best dialog with political figures that was available in the otherwise very biased broadcast media.

What ever happened to free speech? I hope he got the full $120 million from CBS - maybe next time CBS will think twice before becoming a stool pigeon for that racist phony Al Sharpton.

I say welcome back - meaningful, thought provoking morning radio has been dead since he left.

  25. Mitch Says:

I liked watching the Imus show, and I think its important to have “bridge” figures like him who speak to a somewhat concervative audience and manage to pull them over to some logical thinking in a mix-moderate light.

  26. ∞Ω Says:

I never could care less if Imus was left or right:
He made me ill just having to hear or see him.

All he was is a self promoter and a book seller for the insiders who appeared on his show.

    

  27. ∞Ω Says:

…opposite position to generate some of the best dialog with political figures…
    Comment by Bill

Sure, riiight; he must have wedged that in between promoting his ranch or selling a rightwing book or talking to his brother sponsored by Jeep.

    

  28. CT_Version 2 Says:

    I’m thrilled for Imus.

  29. Jay Randal Says:

Imus is a racist pimp, so shameful for WABC to allow him to spew his filth and bigoted remarks on the radio.

  30. missmolly Says:

I see the “liberals want to curtail free speech” crowd is at it again. I have no problem with free speech, and I will defend anybody’s right to free speech, even if I disagree with it (unless it slanders another person or is the equivalent of shouting “fire!” in a crowded theater).

Imus’ right to free speech was never in question. His right to using his employer’s radio network for his “free speech” is not, however, guaranteed by the Constitution. Furthermore, thousands of Imus’ listeners exercised THEIR free speech rights by telling said employer and sponsors they would not listen to the show anymore.

Imus didn’t do anything illegal. He hasn’t been arrested. He was never in danger of doing jail time over what he said. He got fired because CBS radio and MSNBC didn’t want that kind of “speech” on their watch.

If Imus finds an audience and somebody willing to hire him, fine. I will not be one of his listeners.

  31. Mr Blifil Says:

    W-A-B-Nappyheaded!!!

    Nor will I.
    Great post!

  33. OxyCon Says:

WABC hosts a full sewer of right wing hate speech pundits.
I’m not bashing Imus, but he should consider the company he’ll be in at WABC, America’s largest right wing hate speech radio network.

  34. Daryll Says:

Like Fat Albert Sharpton is any better.

  35. Art Says:

    missmolly

That is how it should be. If there is a market, he will prosper. If not, he will fold.

  36. Me Says:

Imus may have been a supporter of Bill Clinton, but he really hates Hillary. He calls her Satan. There’s also chatter that her people (through Media Matters, which broke the Imus story) were instrumental in getting him kicked off the air. If that’s true, and Imus has any evidence of it, well him coming back on the air is gonna be Hillary’s worst nightmare because every word he says will be watched, reported, etc.

  37. HeyKKKarl_ValiantVenusShotFromUranus Says:

Like Fat Albert Sharpton is any better.

You are the most racist black man around. No one believes you’re black, but we all KNOW you’re gay.

  38. itrain333 Says:

I finally have a reason to turn my radio on in the morning again.
