Laura predicted Jenna and fiancé would not be serious.

The White House announced today that Jenna Bush, one of President Bush’s twin daughters, is engaged to be married to her longtime boyfriend, Henry Hager. This must come as a shock to Laura Bush, given that in 2005 she publicly proclaimed that Jenna and Henry were not in a “serious” relationship. Here’s how the Washington Post reported it:img

Former White House aide Henry Hager may be flying high, considering he’s dating the president’s daughter, but maybe he shouldn’t get too comfortable with Jenna Bush on his arm. Yesterday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Charlie Gibson broached the topic of the twins’ dating with Laura Bush, noting: “I’ve read in the social pages that one of your daughters has a new boyfriend.”

The first lady, referring to the 26-year-old Hager, who has been seen regularly in Jenna’s company, said: “This is not a serious boyfriend — I hate to have to be the one to say it on television. But he’s a very nice young man.”

UPDATE: Newsbusters hits us for posting on this, and ThinkProgress responds.

Wonkette has posited the obvious reason for the quickie announcement:

    Jenna’s knocked up.

Like that thought didn’t occur to each and every one of us here…!!

Well, maybe after the kid comes she’ll at least wear panties!!!

  2. Andrew M says:

Two years is a long time for things to change. With all the important things that Bush Co. is lying about these days, why is TP wasting it’s time with this?

  3. nigel says:

I’m not sure what point is trying to be made here. It may very well have not been a serious relationship in 2005, but this is 2007….2 years later…… If Laura Bush had said this last week then perhaps it may have a passing interest (even then only the smallest).

  4. Kyle B says:

I mean, lets be honest here, 2 years is a long time for things to change. I love everything about TP, but lets leave this kind of story to TMZ. Theres enough legitimate stuff to beat on Bushco about, no need to lower down to this level.

  5. Miles Tougeaux says:

At least she did say that the relationship was in its last throes.

  6. Hardy Haberman says:

If Jenna isn’t preggers, then she needs Jenny Craig really fast.

  7. Jack says:

Guys — give TP a break. not everything is life or death. Laura Bush’s predictive powers aren’t great…and this is entertaining.

  8. gldsndz says:

I agree… this is trashy reporting… I expect better thing coming from thinkprogress. 2 YEARS IS PLENTY OF TIME FOR THINGS TO GET SERIOUS.

Time for THINK PROGRESS to get SERIOUS about their reporting!

  9. elvis says:

    Shotgun wedding.

    Liberal genius at its finest!

Don’t we have more important things to have our hair on fire about?

  12. Jim says:

This is lame. I don’t care. Think Progress, focus on substantial things, please.

  13. pakaal says:

C’mon, Momma Bush said that it wasn’t serious back in 2005 – it’s two years later now. I agree with comments 2 and 7, someone’s working far too hard to find importance in something that was said two years ago.

  14. big papa says:

  20. Evergreen says:

Yikes! It’s bad enough that CNN et al think this is newsworthy….please, please TP…..stay away from this sort of infomation.

  21. j swift says:

I have to agree with some of the others above. This just smells of a bad attempt to point out some inconsistency in the opposition’s position.

One, this really is not political and two, as others have said two years is plenty of time for things to change.

If she is knocked up who gives a shit. I don’t recall either of the twins coming out as bona fide fundie prudes. There may not even be any hypocrisy to harp about here.

There is much more important issues and plenty of conservative hypocrisy to point out. Tell us about that instead.

No one suffers more than Laura Bush.

The only question for Laura Bush is whether Jenna took her advice and followed the First Lady’s ABC’s.

  29. Kyle B says:

I don’t know about everybody else, but when I think of “Think Progress,” I like to think that they’re the “good guys,” fighting against corruptness and ineptitude from the current administration.

Truthfully, I don’t like to think of them as simply a “left wing” blogger site, looking to fling what ever dirt they can at the right. Maybe I’m just naive, but this kind of reporting is fuel to the fire for O’Reilly and his gang.

  30. katy says:

  31. Darren says:

It is always news when a president’s kid announces an engagement, even this slimy prez. It isn’t her fault her Dad is a psychopath.
Her recent pics do show her as being quite a bit heavier…hmmm wonder if she does have a bun in the oven? Guess we will know soon enough if she does.
News media should lay off of the kids, they aren’t responsible for their parent’s actions any more than the parent’s are responsible for their ADULT children’s behavior. It’s still news, and TP reporting it is fine by me, they’d be remiss if they didn’t.

  38. Rapture says:

  41. i got a crush on obama says:

I don’t quite know what the point TP is trying to make here, but if it is: “The Bush administration is mendacious even when it comes to Jenna’s engagement,” then: right on!

  42. charlie says:

This President has been a disaster, and a blight on this country and everything he does to hurt this country should be given scrutiny. But his children are off bounds. Al Gores kid should be off bounds, Rudy’s kids should be left alone and the rest of Politicians children should be left alone (unless they are actively campaigning, then they’re fair game).

I’m all for lighter stories – it wouldn’t kill us to loosen up a bit sometimes- but just don’t make them tasteless, backhanded attacks at an enemy- we’re better than that.

  43. David says:

    this was a lousy post.

  44. Jay Randal says:

Now the other Bush daughter will be married off, that is if she wants a high priced White House wedding extravaganza like Jenna.

  45. Zooey says:

A girl in her 20s who doesn’t tell her mum everything…..imagine that.

  46. bobwurst says:

“but just don’t make them tasteless, backhanded attacks at an enemy- ”
    charlie

You’re right, but when this president makes such a point of stopping young kids from getting contrecetion and real sex ed and then his own kid gets knocked up (allegdely) it’s just too poetically just to pass up.

  47. Jay Randal says:

Nobody will ever know if Jenna got knocked up. The birth certificate would claim the baby was born early and not reveal conception before marriage.

  48. Jay Randal says:

Did Bush have the young man’s background checked to see if he is bisexual or into wearing diapers like Sen. Vitter? Dubya might not care, since he likes guys on the side too.

  49. Nate says:

I have to agree with many of the sentiments above. Although I read TP quite regularly, this is my first post. The reason for this being, I think posting on blogs is usually pointless and just leads to emotional, circular arguments, if rational discussion even occurs. That being said, I did feel the need to comment on this article. I feel that it is a completely tasteless move to delve into the lives of any politician’s family members, no matter how one may feel about the politician. I think you could even ask a child whether such an action is appropriate and you’d get the immediate answer “No!” Poor move TP. Continue posting such trash and I’ll just stick to reading professional sites like Information Clearing House and Antiwar.org.

  50. John Q. Dumfuk says:

I too, have to agree with some of the others above. This just smells of a bad attempt to point out some inconsistency in the opposition’s position. Shouldn’t Henry and Jenna be doing something important, like serving in Iraq?

  52. Jay Randal says:

Interesting pic of Jenna being ravished at a bar-club and drink in her hand while the guy is kissing her neck. Where was the Secret Service during this episode or did they take the pic?

  55. Jenna Ho!! says:

So why isn’t Jenna in church holding a bible instead of a drink?

  56. GOP says:

Wow you liberal nutjobs are at your best with posts like this! Two years isn’t enough time to fall in love with someone and want to get married? Good Lord, you guys try bashing Bush and his family no matter what. It just undermines you in the long run. More proof that you hate Bush no matter what.

  57. Raven says:

Could it therefore be spontaneous combu… ’scuze me, conception?

  58. Jay Randal says:

Raven the other twin is still available, so go get her because Pres. Bush needs them both married and pregnant. That way when he starts the draft they both have an excuse to be exempted.

  59. wayne says:

Raven the other twin is still available, so go get her because Pres. Bush needs them both married and pregnant. That way when he starts the draft they both have an excuse to be exempted.

    Comment by Jay Randal

Wow, this I cant believe the hate speech on here- is this how you guys want to be viewed? Also isnt it Charlie Rangel who wants the draft?

  60. destardi says:

I dunno, but to me…this is “good news” that people tend to want to have respect for, and will be shamed for criticizing the Prez at certain moments around this “joyous news”.

If that’s cynical, don’t freakin blame me…I’m not the one who has lied, lied, lied, made profits, screwed Americans and re-enacted “1984″ in real time.

  61. Jay Randal says:

LOL wayne > take your love for Bush family elsewhere. A Bush General just mentioned a need for a draft. Rangel wants any draft to be fair across the board and NO exemptions, but pregnancy keeps you out.

BTW re: featured photo…ya gotta hand it to Jenna, she’s getting mauled by her drunken dude and she’s still not spillin’ a drop of her booze…must be in her genes?! ;)

the right is trash, there’s nothing they can do to trash TP. And what major stories has TP missed in running this? And, if you’re all so offended, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?

  70. DoingNuance says:

It’s because I love TP so much and rely on it so much that I get so thoroughly disgusted with it when it wastes time and attention on junk like this. SO WHAT? Mrs. B made the remark two years ago when it may well have been true. Besides, this whole story is just not worth reading about! Whoever put this in here – GET A LIFE!

  71. Jackie says:

Jenna has been seen with many young men since the famous dance photo. Now are we to believe this young man was just sitting at home waiting for Jenna to finish her wild life with other men. Either Laura doesn’t know her daughter or her chip was broken. I would say this WHO’S THE DADDY ? I guess this is one way for Henry to move up and get money too. Jenna will be having an affair with the waiter next. Don’t look for Jenna to wear White as she’s been had more times then anyone can count.

  72. Jpark says:

Why all the whining by all of the lurkers? Really, they are so disappointed but they never show up otherwise. Yeah, you, DoingNuance.

  73. Jpark says:

Jackie, nobody knows who the father of the baby in Jenna’s womb is. The marriage is certainly a cover for her whorishness.

  74. Jay Randal says:

The guy in the pic looks very pale, and not muscular, so Jenna fell for the son of a wealthy Republican. LOL means she likes money more than love.

  75. JPark says:

Jay, I hear righties have tiny little penii as well. I am thinking she made a bad choice.

  76. Allen says:

Stop the crap. She is obviously not pregnant if you look at the video of her with her mother a month ago. And Mrs. Bush’s comments were in 2005 — that is a long time for the relationship to develop into marriage. Give it a rest. She is a private citizen who has every right to be happy regardless of what your opinions of her parents (mostly her Dad) are.

  77. paddy omcg says:

It’s just silly fun …be cool, babies.

  78. Zach says:

Frankly, the real story would be that a “not serious” relationship that has gone on for two more years wouldn’t be serious now. I would think that any relationship that gets two years older would either be dead or serious. I’m sure this doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone who’s known them for the past couple years. I mean, would you be shocked if your twenty-something friend announced that she was getting engaged to a guy that she has been seeing since 2005? Not news.

  79. JPark says:

“Stop the crap. She is obviously not pregnant if you look at the video of her with her mother a month ago.”

    Looks knocked up to me.

  80. JPark says:

No, it isn’t “not news” Zach. It is news because her father is all about abstinence and she…umm…wasn’t abstinent. Wow!!!! Shocking!!! A teenage girl got f^cked??? Wow!!!! How is that abstinence only education working now?

  81. JPark says:

Zachy, she isn’t married, is she?

  86. MZ says:

Holy crap! He was pronounced “not a serious boyfriend” as recently as 2005?! I call bull$h!t. Everyone knows that “serious” relationships need at least three years to ripen!

Why, just the other day I said to my friend Madge, “Madge, that Bush girl better go to a few more formals with that young fellow before they go public!”

    My word!

  87. rob says:

This is my first post on TP. Love the site. This post really disappoints me. You are referencing something from 2005. Tell me your life hasn’t changed in two years. It is completely feasible that in two years a relationship could become more serious. Perhaps you are making light of Laura Bush’s motherly intuition? If so, it did not come across well. I often times link my friends to TP. I hope that they do not come across this pointless post. It really is grasping at straws.

You guys are disgusting. I guess there’s nothing ‘out of bounds’ in politics anymore. I remember the press pretty much laid off of Clintons daugher and I thought that was pretty classy. I bet if someone was going after John Edwards or obamas wife then you’d be going apeshit… but it’s cool to dig up dirt on the internet on a Presidential Candidates daughter or interview their spouse’s Ex’s… or better yet to spread school yard gossip about the presidents daughters.
I’m starting to think I may vote democrat again (like I did in ‘92 and ‘96… didn’t vote in 2000 or ‘04) when, and if, the party grows up and stops acting like a bunch of children who aren’t getting their way.

  96. Chris says:

WHO CARES? NO MORE POSTS ABOUT JENNA BUSH PLEASE!

  97. missmolly says:

Even though this thread isn’t really worthy of being included on TP, I’ll throw my two cents in anyway — in defense of Laura Bush.

When Charlie Gibson asked the First Lady about Jenna’s “new boyfriend”, Laura responded in a way that made sense. If the relationship was indeed new, it was probably still at the casual dating and “getting to know each other” stage, so Laura’s comment was probably accurate.

What should Laura have said? “Yes, we’ve been trying to get our daughters married off and we have real hope for this one — look for a wedding announcement soon!”? Jenna would have been royally embarrassed, and so would the boyfriend.

And as a side note — even though Jenna Bush has a reputation for being a party girl, it’s entirely possible that she has done everything in this relationship the right way, and made sure this is what she really wants before becoming engaged for something as serious as marriage. And there is no evidence she is pregnant — and even if she was, so what?

Let’s not let this thread look like the front page of the National Enquirer. There are far too many more important issues to worry about without making up sleaze.

  98. theswan says:

She speaks that same sort of double talk that her husband does. Nothing makes much sense.

  99. Conservatives Hate America says:

    Is this important?

    Comment by Ringo — August 16, 2007 @ 8:13 pm

I have to say, TP, that your commentators are pretty stupid. Obviously, there is a story here, and “theswan” gets it: the Bush administration lies about everything, even the status of their daughters’ relationships.

  100. Adawg says:

I hate to admit it, but this is a non-story (what mom thought about soon-to-be son-in-law 2 years ago). If she had said, “Oh I made out with him Mrs. Robinson-style,” that’s another thing.

There’s plenty of material to write about regarding this administration… lies… illegal activity… hypocrisy…. etc.

  101. BJ says:

First, Laura Bush saying it wasn’t a serious boyfriend doesn’t mean it wasn’t a serious relationship. It could have been one from the start and she was just doing her kid a favor by de-emphasizing the relationship so the paparazzi wouldn’t stalk them the way they did with every Chelsea Clinton boyfriend. Laura was never the most adept speaker (or thinker) anyway, much like dear old hubby. WHile it’s a shame the kids got to get some of this flack, the reality is, when teh Bushies make such a big deal of family values, how their children behave is an issues. We all know about the twins’ underage drinking, whiich is less of an issue than their lack of judgment to be more discreet about it. In all the reports about this engagement, i read what the guy is doing professionally. Anyone have an idea what Jenna does? Last i heard she played teacher a while, partied in Argentina and is now working on a book of sorts with her mom, the first First Lady in god knows how many years who hasn’t bothered to espouse a social cause other than her husband’s reputational rehabilitation. I doubt she’s preggers. The Bushes would have insisted on an abortion to hide the embarrassing no premarital sex inconsistency. I wouldn’t be surrpised if the timing of this engagement was orchestrated to build some support for Bush, teh family man. After all, the kid of a republican fund raiser has surely been chomping at the bit to marry the kid of the most powerful republican. And since CHeney’s daughters are all paired off, he went for Bush’s kid instead.

  102. Lee says:

Engaged to a former aid of Karl Rove. *groan*

    Heckava job, Jenna-ie!

  103. Republicans Can't Govern. says:

Jenna celebrated by flying to South America and getting stone drunk for 3 days straight. Awww, she’s just like her daddy. Of course, her mother would’ve killed the guy by running him over in her car.

And you wonder why conservatives think you’re all nuts…..

  105. Yehudit says:

So 2 years ago they weren’t serious and in the meantime became serious. Sounds like a typical romantic relationship to me. Duh.

“I have to say, TP, that your commentators are pretty stupid. Obviously, there is a story here, and “theswan” gets it: the Bush administration lies about everything, even the status of their daughters’ relationships.”

    Comment by Conservatives Hate America — August 17, 2007 @ 9:02 am

    - I’d have to say, the story only goes to prove that the Left is so insanely consumed by hatred, they interpret whatever inane, insignificant, off the cuff remark to be a Rovian Bushcheney Co conspiracy to destroy the Constitution. Must really suck when trying to sleep at night any itch you feel on your leg are the fingers of Karl about to grab ya.

  107. BW says:

How does this have anything to do with the Bush administration or moving forward with the progressive agenda? Go back to Kos where hating the Bushes is more important than instituting change. No wonder 2004 was such a nightmare for progressives, with people like you holding the megaphone for the progressive movement.

  108. Rosencrantz says:

Jenna is a genetic Bush who, like her father, has built a strong record of making poor decisions. I’m going to have to side with Laura on this one and Jenna Bush will be going through a bitter and angry (and self-righteous) divorce before too long.

  109. Mike says:

And the vicious comments are doubly incredible. I’ve run into some really sick people in my 65 years, but some of you here proves that apparently rocks exists from where someone still occasoinally crawls out.

  112. rbnyc says:

Bush derangement syndrome strikes again. Laura Bushhitlerhaliburton LIES. Such mendacity: Laura implies that it is just a casual relationship in 2005 and they, gasp, decide to marry in 2007.

You people are in a little deep here.

  113. Mamie colon says:

How fast can Jenna go in her Prius?

  114. Steve says:

Amazing sickness and hatred posted in the comments. The Almighty keeps records. Are you prepared to give account for your hatred of someone you don’t even know?

  115. SmartyPants says:

Sounds like she’s smarter than Al Snore’s kid. At least she isn’t killing herself with drugs. Nor is she about to kill someone else by speeding in her stupid Prius. Grow up.

  116. Gekkobear says:

Yep, that’s waaay too fast for anything but a shotgun wedding. She must be preggers, seeing as she’s only been dating the guy for about 30 months.

And really, can you determine if a relationship is really worth staying in after only 2.5 years? I mean, wow that’s one whirlwind romance there.

After a mere 800 or so days of dating, they’ve already decided they’d like to get hitched? Give me a break. It takes me more than 800 days to decide if I like a new flavor of chewing gum… must be preggers for sure.

That or several of the posters here (and the initial post) have some serious flaws in their logical processes.

  117. Conservatives Hate America says:

I don’t quite see where you have “responded.”

  118. Retrogrouch says:

The Newsbusters link is hilarious. While I agree that a lot can change in two years and this thread is beneath most of us, a couple of bonusomes over there suggest that Waxman will investigate, complete with a gyno exam, as if we were the party that cares about private matters between consenting adults. I for one will leave that up to the party constantly trying to legislate morality. They may want to cool it on the Romney support too unless they feel they are worthy of the special underwear.

No, it isn’t “not news” Zach. It is news because her father is all about abstinence and she…umm…wasn’t abstinent. Wow!!!! Shocking!!! A teenage girl got f^cked??? Wow!!!! How is that abstinence only education working now?

    Comment by JPark — August 17, 2007 @ 12:20 am

I guess next life she will choose a different father!

  122. Hikerguy says:

Hey JPark…..where the heck did you get your news???? Are you privvy to something the rest of us aren’t….or are you a typical snot-nosed liberal who just lobs bombs, insults and inuendos with impunity….never based on fact?
    Freakin’ idiot…

  123. dumbstruck says:

I’m surprised the family doesn’t send her off “to have it taken care of”.

  124. rfklives! says:

As long as my tax dollars don’t pay for the wedding this is completely unworthy of the air time on the MSM and here. One hundred years of bush treason to line their pockets at the expense of the American public-that is all our business. This reaks of the schadenfreude of Al Gore’s kid getting arrested. I’d hate to see a rethugh slip and fall in those tears of rage and grief when lefties stoop to the petty and cruel they shovel so freely.

  125. Anndee says:

Must be a slow news day, if this is important………..
    No bad news from Iraq?

  126. Matt says:

You do realize you guys are on the fringe – just like Rush Limbaugh listeners and NRA members. You have more in common than not-in-common.

  127. PB says:

This really is an embarrassing article that says far, far more about your lack of integrity than it does about Jenna Bush … or her father for that matter.

First, there’s your abysmal logic. Did you even read your own article? You specifically quote: “’I’ve read in the social pages that one of your daughters has a new boyfriend.”

Newsflash for you, “journalists”: “new” means “new.” When whatever parents spawned you, assuming they had the poor taste to indulge in that patriarchal convention of marriage, first met – their relationship was “new.” They said it wasn’t “serious.”

And then it was. Then they got married. Or not. But somehow you came along. And while it wouldn’t shock me to find out you were from some back room one-night accident … odds are your parents were married.

    After they were “new.”

    After they were “casual.”

What I just described is every relationship ever. In history.

How could you be that stupid?

A minute ago, I said I was hungry. In about an hour, after a lunch, I’ll say I’m full. Oh – my hypocrisy! Gasp. Things change over time. No way!

Seriously … this is maybe the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. A young couple. A new relationship. They called it “casual.” And TWO YEARS LATER, they get engaged.

    And you think its newsworthy?

You must have trouble remembering to breathe every few seconds. This is really that stupid.

But second … and far worse … is your absolute amorality in even diving into the much with this kind of story. She’s a young woman. She’s getting married. The only thing to right is either a factual story … or a classy congratulatory piece.

The fact that your hatred of her father is so boundless and so irrational that you wrote this piece … well, what you did is just confirm all of the very worst things conservatives say about liberals.

This is hate, pure and simple, and targeted in the wrong direction.

And now, the next time some idiot conservative makes an inappropriate comment … I guarantee a thousand bloggers will hold your stupidity up and say: “But you did it!”

    Was that your intention?

How about this: try having a little dignity and maturity – and APOLOGIZE. Acknowledge your error, apologize to Ms. Bush, and most of all, apologize to your obviously unhappy readers.

This has nothing to do with politics, other than embarrassing all of those you claim to support. Have some class. Please.

  128. PB says:

And I cannot believe the amount of vulgar, misogynistic, anti-woman comments on this allegedly liberal website.

Can we please not attack Ms. Bush’s weight? Her appearance? Can we not speculate on her sex life – since we’re supposed to be the one’s in favor of privacy rights in that area?

It is pretty ironic that the hypocrisy of the original post and the enormous hypocrisy of the misogynistic posters far, far outweighs any imagined hypocrisy from Jenna or Laura Bush.

What is wrong with you people?

  129. Anais says:

The reaction to the original TP story shows the right has no sense of humor. Otherwise they would not take it so seriously. And we know the right has nothing the equivalent of The Daily Show and the Colbert Report, right? As for the right stating the media left Chelsea Clinton alone, we should not forget several notable criticisms, include, as I recall, Rush L. referring to her as a dog. Hmm.

  130. PB says:

And we know the right has nothing the equivalent of The Daily Show and the Colbert Report, right? As for the right stating the media left Chelsea Clinton alone, we should not forget several notable criticisms, include, as I recall, Rush L. referring to her as a dog. Hmm.

And its already started. You did it … so I can do it … but then you did, so why shouldn’t I?

You ought to be embarrassed of that degree of immaturity.

When I read that comment – who do I decide to vote for? Looking at that – at this whole thread – where are the good guys?

I give up. A pox on all your houses.

The ironic thing is that Democrats would generally have far more electoral success if they chose maturity.

As it is, I can’t even tell the difference between the sides. Well, there is ONE difference – THIS side claims NOT to speak and think and feel this way. THIS side claims NOT to make sexist, misogynistic, hateful, bigoted remarks.

    Bah. Whatever.

  131. The Wide and Long Rectum of Jhesus says:

    > THIS side claims NOT to make sexist,
    > misogynistic, hateful, bigoted remarks.

Spare us the overly PC garbage. Calling a specific woman who deserves the title a “whore” isnt sexist. Men can be whores also, we call them manwhores. Like Gannon…

I’m sure the Goldman family used the word “n#gger” frequently after they learned OJ killed thier son.. would that automatically make them racist?
    maybe in your book….

  132. Terry says:

What a bunch of shamefull acting people on this site…leave the girl alone and stop acting like asses…dim bulbs

  133. Francis Magno says:

Please leave Jenna Bush alone. She has all the right for privacy as a teen-bushie butterfly. The First Lady Laura Bush comments as to the “not so serious relationship should not be taken against her that come 2007, the White House announced their engagement. Their case is not something new. We have so many kiddy-love relationships that turned well and these people habe become productive members of our community.
‘If we lefties go on with politicking with Jenna’s love affairs, is a sign of our being hypocrites. Let us raise the bar of morality and decency and not make these young-hot and spicy lovers as victims of the generally -perceived hatred with George the Son, Our president.

  134. Joe says:

I wish Jenna and Henry a long and happy married life. Frankly I am disappointed more in the comments than in the article, but not surprised. It is rare to find a forum on the web where the bloggers sound like rational folks.

  135. LarryNobody says:

This reconciliation is what Bush’s thus-far successful surge is supposed to help make a reality. The oil law is necessary so the terrorist-sponsoring Sunnis don’t get frozen out of their share of the country’s oil. So now, when this defeatist Sestak starts to belittle the oil law as being nothing but a power grab for US “Big Oil,” he’s really sabotaging with his rhetoric Iraq’s reconciliation process. Sestak also deserves enmity for his slur against US soldiers as he had the audacity to allege that the surge was not working!

  136. LarryNobody says:

Demoncrats libtards; do these pass TP’s filter

  137. crocchoda says:

    trash.

    i mean really, TP.
