Getting rid of Saddam has made us less safe. It has led to a power vacuum that Cheney warned us about. Our troops and their families have paid too high a price for his removal.

We caught Saddam, and we hung him - end of story.

All a matter of perspective. The liberal media is covering it twice as much as it needs to. Thanks FOX for being fair and balanced. Your enemies are jealous of your success.

Whatever.

I'm still waiting on Fox News to report on the "thousands" of good news stories that some of the troops say exist in Iraq.

"Fair and Balanced" is not trashing a Democratic entertainer for voicing his political views on the "war" ("he's an actor...what does he know about politics?") yet days later inviting a Republican entertainer on the air and asking as one of the questions, "So what do you think about the war on terror?"

And Fox's John Gibson, who surfs the Internet for story ideas and invites Danny Bonaduce on the air to find out why he posted shirtless pictures of himself on the Web, apparently thinks most of America gives a sh*t.

Fixed News won't cover the war in Iraq because of the failure it has become. The surge has failed to bring the results Bush promised it would bring. They are a propaganda machine for Bush and thus have no credibility. They are not a news organization.

It's sad that CNN covers the war more than anyone, considering the fact that they hardly cover it at all.
Why is Fox even still around?

Jane Fonda’s Radio Network Tanks
News Max ^ | Aug. 20, 2007 | NewsMax.com Staff

Posted on 08/20/2007 10:23:01 AM PDT by Ben Mugged

The "feminist” radio company whose founders include Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem failed to attract an audience and it signed off the air for good on Friday.

When the talk-radio network, called GreenStone, officially launched in September 2006, NewsMax reported that it was a "new left-wing radio network that plans to appeal to women listeners and counter the dominance of conservative talk radio.”

GreenStone claimed it would deliver "de-politicized, de-polarized talk radio by women hosts for female listeners,” and Steinem said it would offer an alternative to current radio talk, which she described as "very argumentative, quite hostile, and very much male-dominated.”

She also said radio was "overbalanced toward the ultra-right.” But "Greenstone Media’s brand of tepid liberalism didn’t appeal to women,” Carrie Lukas, author of "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Women, Sex and Feminism,” writes in the New York Post.

Greenstone offered interviews with such liberals as Ralph Nader, as well as segments on parenting and relationships.

But its programming was picked up by only eight affiliates in small to mid-sized markets, and its backers have now pulled the plug

This is the reason why we will be in Iraq at least until another President comes into office. Control the message and you control the masses. There won't be any significant outrage among the people as long as coverage of this "war" continues to decline. Just think about people you know, casual acquaintances. Can they tell you how many servicemembers have died? Can they tell you anything about what's going on in Iraq? Do they even care anymore? I would guess that Iraq isn't really on their minds much unless they know someone over there.

Many more people watch Oprah [60 million+], what does that tell you? Yet the FOX trolls act as if they are more knowledgable on IRAQ. They can't be!!

There is only one solution for Mr. Beck, the return of the Fairness Doctrine which states, "On controversial issues of public importance, broadcasters have the duty to seek out and broadcast contrasting points of view." Now the problem is that the Communications Act of 1934 doesn't apply to cable, but his radio and anything on broadcast television would trigger the act. Activists should consider going to cable franchise application public meetings and demand that your cable system provide some balance. Then again, Beck et. al. may have run their course--it may be best just to give them a mike and provoke them to do what they do best--commit cultural suicide. After all, when the electorate gave the Republicans a loaded electoral victory, they promptly put it to their collective heads and pulled the trigger.

We've come a long way since the screaming eagles soaring across the screen to adrenaline-pumping adventure music. Yep, this is no longer the kind of war that makes great popcorn TV for red staters.

Fox News must be shut down and its executives and reporters prosecuted for violations of international law (inciting the people to violence in the build-up to the Iraq invasion). Free speech does not protect outright lies and slander.

I'm more worried about the physical condition of Brit Hume. The man is so morbidly constipated, his butthole puckering so much with ever-increasing uptightedness that any moment he could swallow his entire body down his sphincter, rapturing himself into a dimensionless mathematical point as well as anything around his event horizon including the camera, the stuidio, and even the American audience watching him at home on TV.

FOX NEWS THE MOST WATCHED CABLE NEWS CHANNEL

Comment by noname1234 — August 20, 2007 @ 1:11 pm

The only thing wrong with the statement was the insertion of the NEWS descriptor. That makes it null and void.

It would be interesting to see the level of Faux news' coverage of the war during the initial invasion and the immediate aftermath; you know, before we found out that the invasion was based on lies, there were no WMD's, there was no post war planning, etc. etc. etc.

That right there would be proof that Faux News is simply the propoganda wing of the neocon fascist party (as if any proof were necessary).

I love Fox "News".
I found out that waitresses are getting lower tips nowadays but strippers are doing just great by watching the Neil Cavuto business show on Fox.
Think I'm kidding?
See for yourself:

While they may not cover the war in Iraq, their coverage of the important issues of Anna Nicole Smith, animal attacks, and car chases is simply unparalleled.
