Straight Talk Express to become ‘piece of sh*t’ again.

After taking the reigns of Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) presidential campaign earlier this summer, new campaign manager Rick Davis made a decision to get the senator’s spending in line. “Every $10,000 counts now,” Davis told New York magazine. This new commitment to frugal campaigning includes a downgrade of the “souped-up Straight Talk bus” he’s been riding. “The next time we roll it out, it’ll be much more like the original version,” said Davis. “A piece of sh*t.”

    if the bus fits…..

  2. Ringo says:

McCain is a good man but he’ll never get the Republican nomination.

He’s wasting his time and other people’s money.

  3. Snidely Whiplash says:

McCain runs his campaign like Republicans run the country: badly and in debt.

  4. Anti-Treason says:

John McCain’s Reich Talk Express ™ makes “a piece of sh*t” look edible.

I’d rather vote for the bus, or the “piece of sh*t.”

Tell me, how is McCain any good, even if you don’t support his candidacy?

    Are you a 1/2 troll?

  6. Theresa says:

“The bus came by and I got on, that’s when it all began
There was Cowboy John at the wheel of the bus to never ever land…”

(My apologies to Bob Weir/Bill Kreutzmann)

  7. DM says:

The problem with the Straight-Talk Express was never with the wheels… it was with the straight talk.

  8. dim wit says:

at this point McCain is simply selling his latest book.

    as the song goes:

“And when the day had ended, with rainbow colors blended,
    Their minds remained unbended,
He had to die, Oh, you know he had to die.”

    Damn. You’re hardcore!

  9. RUCerious says:

Unlike McCain’s candidacy, which has always been a piece of sh*t

  10. missmolly says:

Well, that certainly is straight talk.

  11. Theresa says:

#8, Guess it’s time to spin Anthem of the Sun. Forgot about Cryptical Envelopment.

Very appropriate for McCains dying run…

It is amazing the evolution of McCain. Back in 2000 or 2004 when he was running against Bush for the nomination he was a straight talker and had some beliefs I agreed with and even as a democrat he was one republican I seriously looked at since then he has basically been in toe with Bush on every issue which is sad. I think alot of republicans would be open to a different option then what they have available as all the candidates are different shades of the same BS.

  13. MadisonMel says:

Not to pick nits . . . but it’s “reins”. “Taking the reins . . .” “Reigns” indicates the ruling period of a monarchy.

  14. Jay Randal says:

McCain is senile, so just paint old fart on the side of the bus > lol.

  15. Roket says:

The fat woman has finished singing and has left the building, John. It’s over, dude.

  16. Straight Balk Express says:

“After taking the reigns of Sen. John”

The word is reins, not “reigns”.

  17. Straight Balk Express says:

The word is reins, not “reigns”, unless you meant that he has taken over the kingdom.

  18. Rebel In CA says:

    #14 J.R.

I think that should be “Old-Fart Express”

  19. J Lewd says:

As it should be. And this is the only thing McCain and crew are “telling like it is” — the rest of their comments are the same crap as before restirred.

  20. J Lewd says:

This kills me: McCain Campaign Manager says “sh*t” and gets a headline; I self-edit the same type of comment and TP doesn’t post my contribution. Hypocritical and ironic.

  21. ronjazz says:

At least the McCain crew is tellin’ it like it is, unlike the Obama, Edwards and Clinton campaigns.

All of which are destroying their repig counterparts, malarkos. How about some cheese with that Whine? LOSER.

  22. blogbob says:

I lost all respect for Sen. Mc.Cave in 2004 when he kissed Bush’s butt so sensuously after Bush trashed McCave and his family in 2000 in SC. “I’m sorry, is that me and my daughter you’re trashing? You can go eat $h!+” should have been John’s response to Chimpy in 2004. Instead he appears with him in campaign commericals. Sorry, John, but your time in the Hanoi Hilton does not make up for your failure to defend your family before public opinion. I would not vote for you if were running alone, just like Saddam in 2003.
