It’s really disappointing to see people using the word “Victory” as if this is some simple, black and white situation that we have in Iraq. This general misunderstanding of what is going on in Iraq will inevitably lead to more US casualties with the same result. I don’t see how you can “win” an occupation where the population does not want you there and the resistance is backed by the people and the government of the country.

Victory in an occupation where the citizens do not want you there is called a Dictatorship.

I saw both my mother and grandmoter die of cancer. Unfortunately scientists can’t do any research on stem cells which could help cure this disease because of right wing religious conservatives.

Let me ask for a little clarification on some of your ravings, since some of them are truly baffling:

1) When you say “NYT unmasking just who the lowlives in the anti-war movement are”, what are you talking about? Did you think that Zeleney was correct and Obama really WAS talking about anti-war protesters disrupting funerals? Or do you mean something else?

2) “since progressives refuse to admit that anti-war activists also seriously hate US servicemen” — on what do you base this accusation? Anti-war activists aren’t anti-troops. We would like to keep as many of them alive as possible by getting them home and out of an insane conflict. We would like to protect their bodies by getting them armor they need. We would like to protect their minds by getting them the rest between deployments they need. What, exactly, are the right doing for them?

It gloats at US servicemen’s funerals because it believes that the soldiers’ deaths are punishment for the US’ acceptance of queers.” — and by this you are saying this group isn’t against gays, it’s just against acceptance of “queers”? Yeah — this makes sense (NOT).

What evidence do you have of this? We are saddened and outraged by these deaths, and we’d like them to stop.

4) “Further proving this group is really on the left, the ACLU actually represents these devils in court” — why do you think this paints Phelps as a leftist? What it really does is debunk the myth that the ACLU is a leftist organization. The American Civil Liberties Union focuses on only one thing — protecting the civil rights of ANYONE, no matter where in the political spectrum they are. They will fight for whistleblowers fired from their jobs, and they will fight for the KKK to be given a parade permit. Civil rights is not just a “lefty” issue, you know.
