Swooning republicans who dream of the good old days of firing air traffic controllers and having their own radio kiddy hour in Des Moines.

But as we all know, when it comes to making the right (but hard) decisions, our fearless Dem leaders can’t pull the trigger.

More accurately, this is 51 percent of REPUBLICAN Iowans. I expect the number of Iowa Democrats who want us to get out of Iraq is a much higher percentage, as would be the total of all Iowa voters.

Yoo hoo — any of you Republican presidential candidates paying attention?

  33. P says:

Unfortunately I have to agree with upside00 at comment #20 that most of Dem leaders continually fail to stand up with the majority of Americans on the issues that scare them. They would much rather follow the “Leader” when push comes to shove. Heck, I’m still waiting for the legislative branch to actually grow a set and stop coddling this administration and play ball just as hard as the Repub’s do.

    Missmolly,

Go back to the Foley thread and take another look. You’ll see I wasn’t responding to any of your posts. I was responding to post #7, which was a very hateful post, especially the last paragraph which suggested we should all be beheaded.

You may have been confused because I referred to him as “Mr. P” at one point — another of his many aliases.

Although I admit my dig about “meds” was a bit on the snarky side, I stand by my remarks to that poster.

I was signing as P because I didn’t feel like typing my usual “Patrick in Chicago” Sorry I didn’t realize there was a person going by P or Mr. P who I gather can be a bit of a troll. I thought between your comment and the other one I was referring to previously that you folks were bustin’ on me and I didn’t quite understand why. I agree with your response to whoever posted that hateful comment. Thanks for clarifying and I’ll go by the name above from now on.

TP realizes that they will look even more like idiots if they continue to live in their unrealistic bubble and not acknowledge that more and more Demoncrats and libs are admitting that Iraq’s turning around. Brian Baird, Carl Levin, Michael O’Hanlon–and all these converts just returned from Iraq in the last couple of weeks. Yup, for the progressives–who get off on nothing but beheadings and bombings from Iraq–it’s been a bad few weeks as they’ve been getting totally disproved.

Here’s what Toilet Paper’s posting of even war critic Brian Baird’s admission of success in Iraq means: the progressives and liberal anti-Americans can no longer deny that Bush’s surge is working. They can also no longer deny (without being laughed at) that pulling out now means more misery for Iraqis and total US loss. They can also no longer deny (without being intellectually dishonest) that more good than bad is actually occurring in Iraq, thanks to the US military.
