Truthfully, I can’t decide if this is supposed to be a good or a bad thing. Who would want to be like Reagan?
And speaking of Reagan and Iowa, when my Mom, who’s now 84 was just a lass of 15, she went on the “Dutch Reagan” kiddie talent radio show with her trusty accordian.
According to Mom, at that time Dutch was “A real prick”.

While it may be accurate to say that 51 is the number of Iowans, I believe you mean 51% of Iowans.
Comment by Adam — August 23, 2007 @ 3:35 pm
More accurately, this is 51 percent of REPUBLICAN Iowans. I expect the number of Iowa Democrats who want us to get out of Iraq is a much higher percentage, as would be the total of all Iowa voters.
Yoo hoo — any of you Republican presidential candidates paying attention?
Unfortunately I have to agree with upside00 at comment #20 that most of Dem leaders continually fail to stand up with the majority of Americans on the issues that scare them. They would much rather follow the “Leader” when push comes to shove. Heck, I’m still waiting for the legislative branch to actually grow a set and stop coddling this administration and play ball just as hard as the Repub’s do.
Exactly! In other words, the Republican al-Qa’ida. I’ve been trying to get this term into the vernacular for two weeks now and it just isn’t sticking… :(

You got it very wrong about me in your last comments regarding Foley. Before you name call it would be nice if you could make sure you are correct about your facts.
“Amazing, isn’t it?
“Never thought what the marriage of intelligence gathering, electronics, and bathroom plumbing would look like did you?”
“Every waste particle ever generated by the Big Bonzo was detected, collected, inspected and selected to be transformed into a Reublican party talking point!”
“Yes, truly amazing, isn’t it?
Every thing a Republican has said for the last 20 years has been the same old recycled sh!t!”
Go back to the Foley thread and take another look. You’ll see I wasn’t responding to any of your posts. I was responding to post #7, which was a very hateful post, especially the last paragraph which suggested we should all be beheaded.
You may have been confused because I referred to him as “Mr. P” at one point — another of his many aliases.

TP realizes that they will look even more like idiots if they continue to live in their unrealistic bubble and not acknowledge that more and more Demoncrats and libs are admitting that Iraq’s turning around. Brian Baird, Carl Levin, Michael O’Hanlon–and all these converts just returned from Iraq in the last couple of weeks. Yup, for the progressives–who get off on nothing but beheadings and bombings from Iraq–it’s been a bad few weeks as they’ve been getting totally disproved.
They can also no longer deny (without being intellectually dishonest) that more good than bad is actually occurring in Iraq, thanks to the US military.
Here’s what Toilet Paper’s posting of even war critic Brian Baird’s admission of success in Iraq means: the progressives and liberal anti-Americans can no longer deny that Bush’s surge is working. They can also no longer deny (without being laughed at) that pulling out now means more misery for Iraqis and total US loss. They can also no longer deny (without being intellectually dishonest) that more good than bad is actually occurring in Iraq, thanks to the US military.
