These progressives are so fanatical that theyâ€™re actually imagining and falsifying that some harmless-sounding comments by other GOPers, one major general and some WH officials amount to an â€œassault by the right-wing!â€ The last time I checked, Maj. Gen. Lynch was not in a political role, so if he chastised Warnerâ€™s premature call for some redeployments, he obviously has greater credibility than Warner. Next, this â€œassaultâ€ by the right-wing is nothing but a truth-telling rebuttal to Warnerâ€™s comments from yesterday. Only the most anti-war and pro-terrorist progtards on TP would deny the fact that ANY withdrawal will equal an irresponsible change in a policy thatâ€™s working. Moreover, Warnerâ€™s comments werenâ€™t as dangerous as Demoncrat proposals because Warner only wanted to withdraw 5000 and allow Bush to still set his own policy.

He’s not necessarily calling for a withdrawal at all.

You really don’t understand what is going on do you?? You must be younger and fed all this liberal crap in high shool and college (?). The GOP has notyhing to do with this.. It is a private organization with no ties to the government to counteract all the lies and garbage that the left wing media have been spewing for years. It is about time that an great organization such as this was created.

We are there now, no matter how you feel, and we cannot cut and run leaving the job undone! When nations do that they are following in the footsteps of the French who get into situations, and then pick up and leave when the going gets tough!

It is necessary to stay the course in Iraq, and get the Saudis, Dubai, Dahran,Oman and the small nations to erradicate the fanatics. Whern it is safe to do so, yes, our guys will be coming home, but until they do we stay. To cut and run now would be an insult to all the brave Americans who died over there.

If you don’t like US policies, then go somewhere else.!!

It was stuff like moveon’s “call up the swing state voters” program that got the Dem majorities in, which is the backdrop to why Warner feels like he has the political cover to tepidly change, and Smith, Collins, etc. I think that flak dude’s attitude towards moveon is really irrelevant.. be my guest and dismiss them. However, what they really are is anti-Bush. The extreme Bushites should just call themselves Bushicans and rename the country to which they give their allegiance as the United States of Bushica. Let them wave a Bush flag with Bush’s charming simian likeness on it. These people are for protecting Bush and his enormous childish ego and not the United States or anything it stands for.

Yet he (and Powell, and Bremer) said that we’d leave Iraq if the Iraqi government asked us to go. But when a Democrat or anti-war person asks Bush to bring the troops home? Oh…only the generals on the ground will make that decision. Bush is a g*d damned hypocrite and you know it.

Tell us, Makarios, when the “war” will be over? Bush says that the war on terror cannot be won like a conventional war can be won. “There won’t be any signing ceremonies” he said, like the one marking the surrender of Japan in WWII. Will the world have won the “war” on terror when all the terrorists have been killed? With new generations of terrorists being bred every day, you think that will ever happen?

We’ve seen this dog & pony show before. Warner acts really concerned. Wants to withdrawal (drum roll) 5,000 troops over five months. Leaving over 300,000 troops and contractor in Iraq. Over the next few weeks, he will become convinced this precipitous withdrawal is dangerous and will rubber stamp whatever Bush wants. In short he pretends to offer serious oversight and then approves of whatever Bush wants done.

Americans can then rest easy that the situation was seriously considered and the best option decided on. But of course in the back rooms the deal has already been struck to stay until Iraq sign the hydrocarbon law, turning over control of their oil the US petro industries.

And of course Republican can hit the talk shows explaining why it is so important to stay and Warner can pretend he is opposed but comes around and argues for staying on the senate floor.

Blakeman had the nerve to compare his brand-new White House front group with the well established MoveOn (3.4 million members) and would not appear with Matzzie on NewsHour.

On the same show, Mark Shields hit the nail on the head. He warned that the White House’s “Freedom Watch” group and other supporters of Bush’s War know that there is no hope for victory in Iraq, but they will try to convince gullible Americans that the “cut and run” Democrats, the “liberals,” the anti-war groups, MoveOn, etc. are to blame for the disaster in Iraq.

We have no more troops and Shields is right — we will be forced to withdraw from Iraq. Do not let Blakeman spin his tale that the defeat in Iraq is our fault. Be ready for this charge from the White House.
