According to a recorded jailhouse conversation, John Couey expects to be sentenced to death.

A Miami jury convicted Couey of taking the girl from her bedroom to his nearby trailer in 2005, where he raped her and buried her alive. Her body was found about three weeks after she disappeared in a grave in Couey’s yard.

The same jury brushed aside pleas for mercy and a life sentence from defense lawyers. They claimed Couey is mentally retarded and suffers from chronic mental illness.

Jurors have recommended a death sentence.

No, it is just TP. All the other liberal websites where I post handle it quite well. And most are very civil because they kick out anyone who is there just to fling feces on the wall. I wish that TP would take that track, but it is starting to look like what they are doing is intentional.

I still propose that we all abandon this site for at least a week. Then see if TP fixes things. If they do, then we will know that they really are a progressive website. If they don’t fix things, then we will know that they are really just another shill for the Bush Administration, which is what I am beginning to believe.

Why are we building this monstrosity when so much of Iraq is suffering from the effects of our invasion? To raise Baghdad property values by upgrading the “neighborhood”? To boost tourism in the area by creating a destination people will want to see?

I assume our NEXT building project will be a five-star resort in Darfur…

Imagine would would have happened if he had said this about Bush or Chaney. He would not have made it out of the venue before being arrested. The right thinks it is fine to issue death threats to the left (i.e. Ann Coulter).

So re-tard trolls, why is it OK for righties to threaten the lives of people on the left but it is not OK for people on the left to say anything bad about your President (he’s certainly not mine).

After reading some of the quotes from this guy, I now think Ann Coulter is just Ted Nugent in drag.

US already has a government-run healthcare system. It is called Medicare. It’s administrative costs are 2%. Private sector is 15-25%.

Consumer Reports says we would save $250 billion every year (administratively-alone) by switching to what every other developed country has—-universal, single-payer, government-run healthcare.

I never could understand why you Rethugs think that if someone is not poor they can’t try to help the poor. If that’s the case, then no one in Congress can try to help the poor because none of them are poor.

I could care less where John Edwards lives or how he spends his money he has earned. I do care that he genuinely wants to help raise the standard of living for the people in our Country who work their butts off for very little reward.

You, on the other hand, care about the rich folks who have never worked a day in their lives and are living off their trust fund.
