He's having town meetings tonight and tomorrow. I'm unable to attend tonight so will be traveling down the road to one tomorrow. I'll be pointing out to him that the surge is only working where the ethnic cleansing has already been successful such as Bagdad, previously 65% Sunni, now 75% Shia. I'll also ask him where he's planning on getting the troops and if he'll call for a draft. How much longer can we surge? Its a question he needs to answer. Since Iraq is just slightly larger in land area than California, and has a slightly larger population than Texas, then perhaps an extended layover at LAX or DFW would be sufficient for the frustrated traveler to submit a definitive, detailed statement about the current conditions of that entire state. The only difference is, you could venture out into the countryside on your own in either state and have a reasonably good chance of returning alive.
