I don’t remember saying that FDR was more conservative than Bush, but if you study any history, you see that it’s true.
JFK was more conservative than Dubya as well.
And once again, Lora: What elected position is Laura Bush running for again? Whom does she represent?
Comment by O. Bigfoot —

You have a poor memory, and now you're even repeating your idiotic remark about FDR's conservatism. As I pointed out back then, the Social Security Program, for one, was initiated by FDR, and the conservatives--especially the neoCONs--have been in a tizzy about it ever since. You don't remember how Dumbya Bush was trying to overhaul it? Well, considering other examples of your hardly sterling memory, I'm not surprised.
BTW, Mr. Moral Values, both Bush and Cheney have been arrested for DUI in the past, but that didn't stop them from pursuing political careers, did it,

Nothing a neo-con can say will remove the damage and lies that have been dumped on the United States, Iraq and the world. For all their talk of morals and patriotism, their actions speak louder than words. Night is day, black is white and cold is hot to a neo-con. Just like wanting to bring our troops home is unpatriotic but wanting to leave them over there to die in a bloody civil war is what a real patriotic American would want! Much like destorying Iraq and their people for decades to come is better than what they endured with Saddam. Even hardcore Shiite's have said life was better under Saddam than it is now. Before the stupid trade embargo Iraq was the most westernized Middle East country. Now look at them....Bush was, is and will always be a liar and a coward...much like all republicans who post here. Why havent they signed up to go fight this patriotic war they so much love?

The Supreme Court yesterday suspended former President Bill Clinton's privilege to practice law before the high court and began a mechanism to disbar him by Thanksgiving for lying under oath in the Paula Jones case.

Whichis the exact same thing as saying "When Pres. Bush lied, tens of thousands died!"

I'm glad you can admit that the lies of Pres. Bush caused civilian and military deaths that could have/should have been avoided.

There's hope for you yet!

Well, you got me there. "Temporarily disbarred" is still disbarred. I was wrong.

Sort of like Fmr. Col. North falsly claiming that being pardoned meant he never was convicted in the first place, or that he never lied after saying he lied.

I guess my exposure to right-whiners has their bad habits rubbing off on me.

Then again, I admitted I was wrong, which is something that most right-whiners will never ever do.

"You seem to forget, oh so conveniently, that the hunting of Pres. Clinton was originally based on the White Water “scandal”, which turned out the be nothing at all. It was the over-zealousness of the extreme-right-whiners that led to an investigation that cost the tax-payers over 70 million to discover that Pres. Clinton had consensual sex wih another woman. And he was never disbarred. I guess “facts” can be anything the right-whiners decide to make up out of their own imagination.

And what’s more, the distinction between libs and conservatives…Democrats and Republicans, is that generally when a Republican is caught with his “pants down”, either literally or figuratively, that Republican generally does the right thing and resigns, or otherwise atones for his/her actions. Then the Republican “goes away”, often never to be seen or heard from again. (Nixon was an exception, not the rule.)
Comment by O Big-Foot-in-the-Mouth

I realize you love to bring up old stories (unless they pertain to Republicans like Laura Bush), but to get to more recent incidents I don't recall diaper-loving Senator Vitter (R) resigning. Nor has Senator Craig and the Florida State Senator who was similarly caught soliciting a male police officer for sex in a public toilet (where you Republiscum really belong). And serial adulterer Rudy Giuliani is currently the frontrunner in the G(reedy)O(ily)P(erverts) presidential race. Oh, yes, such contrition! But then I believe you are the history and political science-challenged troll who tried to claim that FDR was more conservative than Bush. You're too stupid even to laugh at.

I realize you love to bring up old stories (unless they pertain to Republicans like Laura Bush), but to get to more recent incidents I don’t recall diaper-loving Senator Vitter (R) resigning. You’re too stupid even to laugh at.

"We’ve never been stay the course, George!"

And looking over your Democrat choices, I would say that may be your only option.

Remember: "You get the government you deserve."

#381 - "The Democrat Party is the party of liars, thieves, sexual deviants, crooks, robber-barons, etc."

Yeah, I guess Sen. Craig (R) must be a Democrat.

Wrong. It's the Republians that have proven they are the party of liars, thieves, sexual deviants, crooks, and robber barons.

Than again, you have ben so good at swigging the kool-aide and spouting the party line without engaging your brain, it's no surprise that you refuse to accept the reality that is the GOP.

Right-whiners indeed.

No one can defend such behavior of a Senator...Republican or Democrat has no effect on such issue, because it is not a political issue,it is a moral issue.
Why many people here criticised this man..because he claims he was fighting for morality.
Hypocrisy is the issue here.

#377 - "He was the President who was impeached, disbarred, lied to congress, fooled around with interns, etc. etc. "
Comment by O. Bigfoot — August 28, 2007 @ 9:14 am

You seem to forget, oh so conveniently, that the hunting of Pres. Clinton was originally based on the White Water "scandal", which turned out the be nothing at all. It was the over-zealousness of the extreme-right-whiners that led to an investigation that cost the tax-payers over 70 million to discover that Pres. Clinton had consensual sex wih another woman. And he was never disbarred. I guess "facts" can be anything the right-whiners decide to make up out of their own imagination.

Let's see, Pres. Bush has lied about WMD's in Iraq, he lied about Saddam's involvement in Sept. 11th, and lied us into a war of occupation. Pres. Bush refused to listen to the reports that warned us about terrorism that cost us 3000 civilians, and his administration has cost the US over 2 trillion in cost overruns and debt. (Remember that 1 trillion dollar surplus that Pres. Clinton left? Gone. Tax breaks for the rich and corporations, you know...)

Yeah, 8 years of failed and clueless GOP and neo-con extreme-right-whining is so much better thatn surpluses, largest economic expansion in the past 50 years, and it's only cost us 4000+ soldiers lives and 2 trillion dollars in waste by the GOP and their neo-con cronies.

“And, Bigfoot-in-the-Mouth, since you are so into car accidents that happened in the 1960s, how do you feel about a future librarian and first lady who ran through a stop sign and, thereby, killed one of her classmates–also rumored to be an ex-boyfriend?

Comment by Lora — August 28, 2007 @ 3:36 am”

And what's more, the distinction between libs and conservatives...Democrats and Republicans, is that generally when a Republican is caught with his "pants down", either literally or figuratively, that Republican generally does the right thing and resigns, or otherwise atones for his/her actions. Then the Republican "goes away", often never to be seen or heard from again. (Nixon was an exception, not the rule.)

Democrats, on the other hand, deny everything. They lie, obfuscate, play word games, and shred documents while clinging deperately to whatever power they may have left, often to the detrement of their own party. And then the Democrat electorate rewards them with more time in office, and revere them as "elder statesmen" of the Democrat party.

The Democrat Party is the party of liars, thieves, sexual deviants, crooks, robber-barons, etc. And Democrats appear to be proud of the fact that their elected "leaders" are able to get away with all their shenanigans and still be their representatives...which says alot about Democrats in general.
