Did they claim to be paragons of morality and then sneak off to bathrooms to smoke pole while trying to sign discrimination against others with their own urges into the constitution? Has it ever occurred to you that the reason Dems get re-elected is that they present themselves as human beings? Clinton lied, and he apologized and we forgave him. You know…like good CHRISTIANS! You’ve heard of them, right? If Craig came out and said “look, I have this problem and I’ve been trying to hide it and it’s not working and I’m sorry.” I wouldn’t have a problem with the guy. He plead guilty and got his sentence. Instead, we’ll have to deal with him going to gay rehab and whatnot…

Ummmm, no…Not at all. McCain was not even elected to Congress until 1982, well after the Abscam sting.

You are probably thinking of John Murtha (D-Pa), who was named an h an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the scandal.

This specific incident, if you read the police report, has nothing all that incriminating about it. Why he plead guilty is beyond me, because there was no evidence of direct solicitation.

Besides, as a liberal, I can’t stand the hang ‘em first/investigate later attitude that Republicans seem to have of late. Your telling me that this is the “code” that gay men use to pick each other up? Well maybe, but how do you know that. Sting operation didn’t get enough evidence to ever convict.

Lastly, Coleman and McCain are desparate men at this point. McCain has absolutely no chance of ever becoming President. Coleman would lose his job if he were running against Howdy Doody……and he almost is (A. Franken).
