My sneaking suspicion is if there is an agreement to troop reduction this fall, it will only serve to increase our chances for attack against Iran. The lower number of forces on the ground in Iraq/Green Zone, USA, the less retaliatory casualties we'll have after our first salvo with Iran. By no means am I advocating for any further reason to keep our troops where they didn't belong in the first place, but it appears that with the overabundance of naval vessels floating in the Gulf, Bushco is going to look to minimize casualties and can even appear to be finally serving the will of the people by doing this.
