Rove ‘overcome with emotion’ on his last day.

CNN reports:

bushrovehug4.jpg Karl Rove was nearly overcome with emotion Friday as colleagues privately paid tribute to the political adviser as he leaves the White House, senior officials say.

At the closed-door senior staff meeting at 7:30 a.m. in the Roosevelt Room, Rove was surprised with a slide show of photos chronicling his nearly seven years at President Bush’s side, through good times and bad.

White House Press Secretary Tony Snow told CNN that Rove was so touched by the tribute that he didn’t have any final words for his colleagues. “He was pretty choked up,” Snow said.

Digg It!

Its easy to see Karl Rove as a fat, weepy, slobbery mess. The fact is he is a Grade A motherf****r, and is directly responsible for making American politics and government what it is today.

Karl will be more choked up when Jack Abramoff starts telling of the illegal things Karl did. Karl got to take with him the money he stold and in hopes the Congress passes the 50 billion Bush as asking for so he can help this friends who left office. Karl needs money for lawyers and Snow needs it for his medical treatment as for the others they can't find jobs and need the money to keep their mouths shut. It cost alot to pay off people these days. When the pay offs run out look for people to write a tell all book from everybody involved. So little time so many lies. Karl can now find the time to visit some good friends in Jail like Jack, Duke and even stop by to visit Fingers Foley.

Don't kid yourselves. Conservatives believe in the law...the whackos on the supreme court just happen to be religious fanatics like the folks in the Middle East who are religious fanatics. Karls ideology, for the current part, came from a book called The Dream and the Nightmare By Myron Magnet. Karl lifted someone elses work and then screwed it all up.

    To wit:
“As people do better, they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing.”

Karl never got enough education it seems.

    Thanks.

Karl has said under-educated people vote Republican. He has basically called George undereducated.

Whereas educated people understand history and society well enough to know that not everyone can be wealthy and that wages must stay inline with cost of living.

    Do gooders they call them.

The fact is do-gooders keep the economy rolling. Whereas not do gooders stymie it.

Responding here to the parent blog post...

In my opinion, this blurb was beneath the standard of relevance I usually see here. It appears to be posted for no other purpose but to encourage snide, ideological and hateful feelings in those so inclined.

While I have a low opinion of Rove's behavior and character, nothing he's done leads me to believe he's a reptilian psychopath, unable to feel deeply every emotion available to those persons who value others--especially when leaving them.

Rove's just some guy. Had some success and some failure. His record affords opportunity enough for criticism, doesn't it? I say, stick with that. Sneeringly dismissing Rove's relationships with the people he's worked with for a good number of years doesn't really contribute to any argument, produces negativity, and at the end of the day is just weak minded.

This reader suggests the editor(s?) tighten up a little on integrity of the content here, make this an even better resource.

Cry now, for the "brain" is separated from the body. Cry for the constitutional rape of this country and when you lay your head full of ugliness on the pillow REMEMBER their are millions of Americans who know you for what you are.

  99. noshrub Says:

To Reason & others: quit your tsktsking. The last thing those of us who are happy to see him go are lectures from others. So, people on here say some things that may not be "nicey nice." "At the end of the day" (one of my least favorite expressions) Rove's legacy will be seen as one of lies and failures. What successes did he have? A president with an all-time low approval rating? A miserable coup attempt at DOJ? A disastrous war based on lies that have resulted in more carnage than we care to witness on a daily basis? An outing of a covert CIA agent whose husband dared speak the truth to power? Thousands of destroyed emails to circumvent the PRA? I guess if you list Swiftboating as one of his successes, I'll grant you that.

What about the Gannon comments above? Totally fair...many questions about Gannon's unlimited access to the WH remain unanswered. In light of the Craig story, none of us need reminding about the gay-baiting hypocrisy that came right out of the WH.

Anyone who has read "Bush's Brain" or other exposes about Rove (Suskind's article in Esquire) can only come to one conclusion: Rove is an evil sick person who, unfortunately, will not go away. I read the negatives on this blog to remind myself of what he has done and how others feel about it. I need to be reminded of it or I'll just be forced by my own cynicism into turning my brain off because Rove is just not nicey-nice.

Agreed, such low % values are better than the smirking frat boy deserves, but at least the combination of Rove's Machiavellian maneuverings and the presidunce's commedia dell'arte-styled lazzi has proved sufficiently transparent, comical and gag-inducing to MOST thinking people not on life support.

    Whahhhh . . .

Cry me a river . . . toxic tears rage.

Coors is really going to have to rethink their "rocky mountain stream water" selling point. Any half informed rocky mountain hiker knows . . . don't drink the water.

What does this have to do with Rove? It's the Rove Bush legacy. F- the environment, F- the middle class, say whatever you have to, dead miners, record home foreclosures, dead soldiers, poor old Bush Ranger shot in the face by a drunk, alcoholic VP who never bothered to get a hunting license (he did apoligize the the VP for getting shot in the face) . . . reality be damned. . . . we live in a Rove orchestrated Wonderland. What time is it?

(Oh yeah, Condi, we're just drowning in tears over the "stain" of your Iraqi legacy.)

  106. texaslady Says:

#96 - Obviously you feel anything done is "just business" such as Rove's smearing of Ann Richards, John McCain , John Kerry with falsehoods and Valerie Plame as well as those that were killed when their cover was blown by this despicable person.
Surely an election can be won fair and square without the smear campaigns that Rove likes. Reptailian psychopath, you got it, he is totally that and worse.

Rove is an evil thing I hate to think he is human at all, he has done nothing honorable in his miserable life. And he is not gone just moved like a cockroach to the next cupboard to continue his evil doings.

  107. David Says:

I'm surprised it seemss we have awaken to see this administration for what it really is..a bunch of scum.

We can only hope Condi will be next, then Cheney

Hopefully the "Fanatical Four" Bush, Cheney, Rove, Condi, will end up in the same cell (hell), and that little demon Gonzales is somewhere there also.
