Bill Moyers has the only real news program on television. And whatever his religious beliefs (I think he was Southern Baptist before the right wing coup in the denomination) he is not telling anyone that God wants you to think like him or vote for him.

He presents people and viewpoints not often seen on the other ‘news’ programs. The discussion of impeachment with Bruce Fein and John Nichols was the most enlightening hour of television in the past 10 years – no shouting, no political posturing, just rational discussion. Moyers played devil’s advocate several times, pointing out the problems inherent in proceeding with impeachment.

I think the right-wing yellers and trolls are after him because they thought they had silenced him when Tomlinson ran PBS, but he’s back so they have to resort to their usual half-truths and lies. Being slimed by Fox News strikes me like being on Nixon’s enimies list – meant to insult, it is instead a badge of honor.

Moon’s cash is, accordinging to his own daughter in law and others, smuggled into the country by the bagful, mostly from Japan where the UC has been found guilty of swindling hundreds of millions targeting widows with their scams.

Oh. And by the way. This kind of BS is exactly what Rove wants. THIS is his new role as First Minister of Disinformation. His task between now and Nov 2008 is to sew as much discord and spew as many vile lies, half-truths, insinuations, and fantasies as he can to completely cloud the 2008 elections trying desperately to engineer Republican resurgence. The best and only thing to combat him is not to try to counter anything he says but to simply ignore him. If one is asked about something that is obviously Rove-engineered, the response should be. “Well you are smart enough to know Rove makes this stuff up aren’t you?” The MSM, which isn’t anywhere near smart enough, will move on to another topic so as not to appear as dumb as they really are.

What I don’t get is why anyone would think that contacting Chris Wallace at the Bush Administration’s Headquarters of the Ministry of Propaganda would accomplish anything. Where has everyone been the last 6.5 years? We all know what Fox “News” is all about. Do we really have to pretend that they are a credible journalistic institution instead of the voice of the neo-con Party? What a fetid waste of time.

Again, you aren’t addressing Chris Wallace’s main point, that Moyers did NOT contact Karl Rove BEFORE Moyers wrote the smear piece on Rove. THAT is the point. Calling / faxing Rove AFTER publishing that smear piece is FAILING Journalism 101.

Show me that they DIDN’T, like a statement from Rove saying that he WASN’T.

I have no obligation to show you ANYTHING.

If you have the aptitude to be on the web, you can do your OWN research.

But in the meantime, you have YOUR point of view

and I have MY point of view
(along with the other 72% AND the rest of the WORLD).

Moyers is an internationally acclaimed and awarded JOURNALIST.

Chris Wallace, Karl Rove and Rupert Murdoch, Fox “news”, The Weekly Standard, NY Post, etc., are the PROPAGANDA MASTERS.

I believe Moyers.

Time will tell who is correct.

In the meantime, Bush is a WAR CRIMINAL and a TRAITOR to the USA.

As is Rove.

Arn, it is not a matter of what I believe, it’s what do people’s statements support. Wallace said Moyer’s didn’t talk to Rove, that was rebutted by Moyer’s saying that we tried but Rove doesn’t answer. Now, it makes a small bit of difference when they tried. I’m saying that if they tried AFTER they aired the piece, then that is unfair to Rove and Moyers aught to be chided.

Am I not making myself clear here? I seem to say the same thing over and over…
