Chertoff promised right-wing group charges against Clinton.»

The LA Times reports that in 2001, Michael Chertoff, then head of the Justice Department’s criminal division, met with the conservative group Judicial Watch and “personally assured” them that he would pursue criminal charges against Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) “in connection with a lavish fundraising event in Los Angeles.” Chertoff is now one of the names mentioned to take over the Justice Department, which has been criticized for a lack of independence.

  2. Jackie Says:

Now we know with the DOJ fired lawyers that the plan was to bring false charges against Dems so they wouldn’t get elected. Now we know Chertoff was part of the team. He did wise up because Bill.

If Mizz Clinton is a crook she deserves to be charged.

    Yes?

All feminists should be charged with crimes against humanity.

Impossible to count all the death and destruction caused by the anti-male hate movement known as Feminism.

American Women, when are you going to renounce feminism?

Expect the marriage/dating/mating/relationship strike to only increase until you start working on over turning the damage caused by Feminism.

  4. Mr. President Says:

    Nice try, Jackie.

Look at all the countries in OPEC and all of the countries involved in 911, they all treat women as second class dirt, is that the alternative to feminism?

  9. veritas Says:

I really can’t comprehend the reichwing’s obsession with Hilary. It must be that female emasculation thing or just plain awe for her superior intelligence. Nevertheless, let Cjerkoff fly with his allegations because there are even more serious allegations against Cjerkoff to come down the pike.

  10. Jim Wolf359 Says:

A Chertoff “Justice Dept.” will mirror the Gonzales “Justice Dept.” action for action, crime for crime, and ineptitude ad nauseum.
    January 20, 2009 can’t come sonn enough.

  11. NormanHsusayshellototheHillarysupporters Says:

It’s my mission to once more enlighten and re-educate the easily brainwashed progressives about the real truth concerning this TP posting. The posting should be read, exclusively, to mean that Chertoff was dutifully and diligently upholding the duties of his office as the head of the DoJ criminal division, promising to charge Hillary at the time because of obvious indications incriminating her. The only reason that she wasn’t charged at the time was, of course, that the evidence didn’t connect Hillary far enough, but that hardly means she’s innocent. Remember, progressive scum, Hillary should always be distrusted when it comes to fundraising issues because just last week, her best friend Norman Hsu (whom she denied every knowing) was just exposed as a fugitive, and he donated to her massively. So if Chertoff was considering charges against her for some of the same, dubious activity in 01, he should be commended for going where the evidence, at the time, was taking him.

He’s just another right wing chertoff.

Poor Mr. Pee. The american public rejects your values, and you can’t get elected unless you swiftboat (lie) and bring up false charges. It doesn’t matter how much Cheney’s friends make on Halliburton, or how many LAVISH fundraisers Bush and Cheney have. Who needs reality when a good swiftboating cheap shot is so much easier! See son, the problem is that getting elected requires that you GOVERN, something you f*ckers neither plan nor have the capacity to implement. All you do is WHINE about FAKE crimes, while COMMITTING REAL ONES! You’re such a loser!

  25. michaelIsRetarded Says:

Chertoff’s mother (Livia Eisen) was a mossad agent involved in the Mossad’s “Operation Magic Carpet.”, and he still has Israeli citizenship. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and he’s just another jealous NeoCon that wants to steal the arab oil they didn’t get. Looks like Abraham should have stayed in Ur (Iraq), the Jews would be sitting on a goldmine if he had!

Well, considering that when one of your ids was just banned, several of your ‘aliases’ all disappeared at once with posts - that’s a relatively safe assumption that you are probably one (or at most two) trolls…

Ahhh, the life of an internet troll- waking at noon to MomSex, laying around the trailer snorting bad meth and drinking PBR, then to the li-berry, posting fer awhile before the trip to the truck stop for mansex-

The RNC check comes in fer $65.50 fer each 2,500 posts and its on again!

Charges of what exactly? Successfully running a fund raiser?

Sheesh, these righties seem to think that success is a criminal offense!

If this is true they have joined the ranks of the toady progs who want to tax success away and smother any future success of the US.

Clintons success is due to the fact that she married Bill. Otherwise she’d just be another shrill voiced annoyance whom most people would shun.

That said I hope like hell she wins the nomination.

  32. Bruce Gorton Says:

    Troll

You obviously do not understand how taxes work.

That said, Hillary should lose because she would just be Bush in drag. America needs someone who is cautious enough to not simply launch America into a war before finding out who America is at war with and who is willing to admit an error.

Hillary hasn’t really admitted her error with Iraq.

  33. grover nerdquist Says:

obviously jackoff is trying to criminalize politics.

  34. rfklives! Says:

It will be a long, long time before anyone has any measure of faith in the DOJ-add that to the list of Dumbya “achievements”. Chertoff was just giggly as a schoolgirl because Brownie got all the blame for Katrina-stopped the blame from reaching him or fearless leader. I won’t vote for Hill because of Bill’s slumming with 41; the right’s meme that she has no achievement beyond marrying Bill is total bullshit-she was an achiever from way back-Bill married up. When all this administration can hire is bootlickers-real achievement must scare the shit out of the right. Competance-it is not too much to ask!

  35. Jake D. Says:

I agree that no one should vote for Hillary because she hasn’t really admitted her error with Iraq.

  36. kasinca Says:

TP should get rid of the resident rodents, the bottom dwelling, knuckle dragging trolls who live in their parent’s basement and spout absolute non-sense on this board all day. You know who you are, cowards, arm chair heroes, 28%ers. You are worthless scum and add nothing to the discourse this board offers the rest of us.

  37. Chocolate Jesus Says:

    >If this is true they have joined the ranks
    >of the toady progs who want to tax success away

Right, that 100 percent tax liberals have been suggesting for millionaires.. its ridiculous… I mean just because the rich benefit more from the fruits and infrastructure previously built with tax dollars (highways, mail service, phone service) doesnt mean they should, like, contribute more toward that future infrastructure than the guy who goes straight from his house to his 2 jobs at mcdonalds and burger king.

And Thank god all the wacky wars we’re fighting are going to pay for themselves, I mean, you know.. asking citizens to sacrifice some of thier income to pay for the ongoing wars is really letting the terrorists win. This is a new kind of war, and the great thing about this type of war is the soldiers and their families are the only ones who have to sacrifice anything!
    wohoo!

How about this.. we get tax breaks when the “war” on “terror” is over?

    Sound fair?

  38. Hillary Whacked Vince Says:

That means Chertoff was doing his job. Unlike her lapdogs in the media, Chertoff was not going to cover for her. AND I love how the TP phrases the charges against Hillary - right-wing?… HA - were the charges against Libby left-wing??

The Hillary love fest will reach a screeching halt very soon. Either the spineless wimps in the Democrat Party take her on (not likely) or the 50% of Americans who view her unfavorably do it come 2008. For the first time EVER, Hillary will be forced to answer questions about her role in her brother’s pardon scandal, her role in the Marc Rich pardon, the FALN pardons and the Peter Paul fundraiser. Additionally, she will have to fight back charges of treason for taking money from Hsu and other donors with links to the Chinese govt. AND let’s not forget:

-Filegate - why were her fingerprints on Jim Baker’s FBI file
-Vince Foster - why did she have murdered. Presumably to cover up Travelgate
-Waco - why did her choice for attorney general kill over 80 civilians including women and children
-Whitewater - why did Robert Ray say she made factually false statements in her testimony

    AND just for kicks:
-Why did Barbara Boxer’s daughter divorce her brother. Rumor is he abused her.
-Why did seek to destroy the women who accused her husband of sexual harrassment, sexual assault and rape?
-Why hasn’t she apologized for claiming in 1998 that a right-wing conspiracy was lying about her husband’s infidelity?

With corruption such a major issue in 2008, Hillary will be a great candidate for the GOP to assault. Thank you TP for you total stupidity. If you had any spine, you would knock off Hillary while you still have the chance.

  39. Chocolate Jesus Says:

    > were the charges against Libby left-wing??

Fitzgerald: former republican appointee, prosecuted both repubcs and dems, and terrorists too:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Fitzgerald

    >AND I love how the TP phrases the charges against Hillary
    >- right-wing?…

yes, because there were NO CHARGES and the only people screaming about them are you nutballs who think Clinton is synonymous with “anti-christ”

2 words for all your rants.. ABRAMHoaF, HIPOCRITE
