Doolittle aides subpoenaed.
Rep. John Doolittle’s (R-CA) chief of staff and deputy chief of staff “have been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury in a federal probe into ties between Doolittle, his wife and jailed lobbyist Jack Abramoff.” FBI agents raided Doolittle’s Virginia home in April “looking for information about a fund-raising business his wife ran that did work for Abramoff.”

Progtards need a history lesson about Abramoff as well because they’ve been disseminating the fraud that it was a Repub scandal, but the trail of money simply doesn’t support this. The facts were that Abramoff donated equally to members of both parties; in fact, notoriously stubborn Democrats like Charlie Rangel (who also wants a back-door draft by his insistence on its return) refused to give his donations back, something totally scandalous in these times. Ethical Repubs actually returned his tainted money contributions or gave those away to charity. Progressives here also need to be taught about the US system of justice and the presumption of innocence before being proved guilty. Just because Doolittle is under investigation doesn’t make him guilty. Pre-judging progtards have trouble with this principle because they’re haters.

Actually, no Democrats have been implicated, but go on…

Actually it was the tribes who gave to Rangel, wasn’t it? That wasn’t illegal, or unethical. From Rangel’s website:
“Some members of the press have even tried to smear me by suggesting that political donations I received from two tribes were somehow tainted because Abramoff represented them as a lobbyist. In the hope of writing a sensational story the reporters ignored the fact that, to my knowledge, Abramoff had nothing to do with the donations. Furthermore, during the same period I had received political donations from at least a dozen other tribes who had absolutely no connection to the lobbyist.”

But, barfly set him straight, what with the “facts” and all.
Meantime, as painful as it is, (especially for repugs) all of this puss and slime and other symptoms of the culture of corruption are finally coming out, since you this is the kind of stuff that cannot be contained forever, because it shouldn’t be.
So finally, we’re lancing some of these boils and other malignant growths on our society at large. It’s like any other infection, and it has to be driven out, irradicated from the body. (our society).
So, let the sweating begin. We love testimony under oath, even when we know they’re gonna lie. That’s almost the best part.

Duke Cunningham, while taking bribes for fixing defense contracts, stood on the floor of Congress and called a sitting president and John Kerry traitors. In the last election, Doolittle referred to his Dem candidate as a traitor. We’ll see where the similarities between these two loudmouths end soon I think or we’ll find out Doolittle is as big a traitorous scum as Cunningham.
