>Republicans send their criminals packing off to jail.

Hahahah, republicans fire prosecutors that are working on cases that could send their criminals to jail. Carol Lam was following dirty defense contractors straight back to the white house....STRAIGHT back...
Keep screaming about how you know there was no crime, but they are fighting tooth and nail to avoid discussing it for SOME reason..hmmm.
This wasnt a routine housecleaning like clinton did, it was targeting only specific prosectors, and clinton never fired any that were invesigating trails leading back to his whitehouse...

Republicans for all their hollines are going through pains to avoid putting their hand on the bible and telling the truth. You legal scholars insist no crime was committed, and yet it seems impossible to get a bush aide on the stand under oath.. I'll answer, as long as I dont have to swear to tell the truth..but I have no plans to lie, honest...

They claim executive privledge while denying bush was involved in anything....

Get off it Bigtwat, you truly think Jesus would be pro-big business, pro-death penalty, pro nuclear genocide like you? I don't dislike Jesus in the least.. I have no reason to believe he could have forseen that his name would some day be used as a justification for hate and division by people like you and daryll. Then again Daryll thinks we should kill people who mouth of to thier parents and couples who have sex while the woman is on her period. It says so in the bible so it must be true... Do you agree? Its the word of god, right?

Why does the "surge" mission name Operation Phantom Thunder just remind me of silent, but deadly, farts?

Thus, after asking someone to pull my finger, and letting one loose, I'll just exclaim "Operation Phantom Thunder" as everyone nearby holds their noses.

So, Sen. Boehner, please pull my finger. Pretty please. I've got your Operation Phantom Thunder for ya. Sniff. Ewwwww.

"OK, Bigfoot, from your WPost article: “Democratic lawmakers who responded to inquiries for this article said that any money they received from the tribes had nothing to do with Abramoff. They were quick to say they did not know the man.”

And, your philantropy.com article is a distortion. Conservatives are more likely to regularly attend church. Since churches make their living by reaching in your pocket when you go there, conservatives would always seem to give more to charity. If you leave church donations out of the equation, liberals actually give MORE to charity per capita than conservatives.

Comment by Ret. Col. Jack Ripper — September 5, 2007 @ 2:47 pm"

Nice back pedaling there, Ripper.

Democrats lie, deny, and distort. They hold power any way they can, and their collegues rally around their Democrat crooks in support.

Republicans send their criminals packing off to jail.

The philanthropy.com article is no distortion, it's an open interview with an author who looked at over 15 different studies of philanthropy, and the facts pointed the same way each time.

Spin it any way you want that will make you feel better. Conservatives are simply more philanthropic than liberals. Case closed.

You must have an unusual definition of the word few. Dems are wildly popular here, except for the conservative ones. ;)

<em>Also, please refrain from mocking President Bush. He is one of God’s children. “Do my prophet no harm”.
Comment by Daryll — September 5, 2007 @ 2:37 pm</em>

Daryll, my dear fellow, if you are waiting by the phone for the call from your god and travel agent god for your ticket on the Rapture Express, then Dubya is your boy! He and Darth Cheney and the rest of the NeoCon Chickenhawk BushCo's are doing everything in their power to make your phone ring and get you on that great train to glory. Too bad he will take the rest of us down the shitter with him.

And next time, <strong>PULEEZE</strong> pick a better prophet, this one wouldn't make it as an after-holiday Blue Light special at Target.

<em>"Among the biggest beneficiaries were Capitol Hill's most powerful Democrats, including Thomas A. Daschle (S.D.) and Harry M. Reid (Nev.), the top two Senate Democrats at the time"</em>

So, there was something wrong with Reid and Daschle receiving contributions from Indian tribes. Now I wonder why that would happen. Could it be that their states have numerous Indian reservations? Nah...couldn't be that. Both Reid and Daschle worked to try to improve the conditions of the Indians whereas Abramoff stole from them. They have been receiving campaign contributions from Indians for many years before Abramoff came along to rip them off.

Bigfoot, a little exercise in critical thinking for you: with a Bush Justice Department run entirely by conservative republicans, I would think that if there was the slightest evidence to support an indictment, at least one or two Dems would have been indicted by now in the Abramhoff scandal. But, no Dem has been indicted for connections to Abramhoff. Does that tell you anything at all?

<em>Democratic fundraiser/supporter Norman Hsu has skipped bail by failing to appear for his court hearing this morning…Developing.
Comment by O. Bigfoot</em>

So Bigfootinmouth, do you have anything to add to the subject at hand or are you going to just throw feces on the wall? You seem rather obsessed with Mr. Hsu. I wonder why that is? It is a non story and will continue to be a non story. Even though the right has been harping on Mr. Hsu ad nausium, the people don't seem to care. And why is that? Probably because they realize that candidates can't do a background check on every contributor to their campaigns. Also, I would think that the Rethugs should be careful where they put there feet. I'm quite sure that there are a lot of people investigating every contributor to the Republican candidates and we will soon find out that they have been taking campaign contributions from pornographers and other unseemly types (because they have done this in the past).

OK, Bigfoot, from your WPost article: "Democratic lawmakers who responded to inquiries for this article said that any money they received from the tribes had nothing to do with Abramoff. They were quick to say they did not know the man."

And, your philantropy.com article is a distortion. Conservatives are more likely to regularly attend church. Since churches make their living by reaching in your pocket when you go there, conservatives would always seem to give more to charity. If you leave church donations out of the equation, liberals actually give MORE to charity per capita than conservatives.

the reid and dachle money doesn't matter, o bigfoot.

the abramoff matter involves taking money to influence a vote.

daschle has a constituency which very clearly includes native american tribes. there is no correlation, no amount of money that would influence him to vote in favor of a bill restricting the expansion of tribal gaming, as it protects his constituents' interests. had he voted AGAINST the bill, it would be a different matter.

reid has a constituency which very clearly includes the gambling industry. once again, there is no amount of money that would influence him to vote in favor of a bill restricting the expansion of tribal gaming, as it protects his constituents' interests. and again, had he voted AGAINST the bill, it would be a different matter.

otherwise, politicians in washington take contributions to their political action committees from lobbyists. it's par for the course. both harry reid and tom daschle have received money relating to native american and gambling interests in the past. there's no story there.

many of the republicans that took money from abramoff in connection to the tribal gaming bill had no connection whatsoever to gambling or native american interests. their acceptance of the money was, in effect, the taking of a bribe to influence their vote.
