Group sues White House over missing e-mails.»

The National Security Archive today filed a lawsuit charging that the White House “abandoned an automatic archiving system for its e-mail in 2002 and did not replace it,” resulting in the loss of approximately five million e-mails between March 2003 and Oct. 2005. In May, the watchdog group CREW also filed a lawsuit seeking information about the “missing” e-mails.

It’s beyond words at this point, isn’t it?

The degree of criminality w/in this admin is off the charts. Never seen anything like it. You can scream for impeachment all you want, but as long the the GOOPers in Congress abet this BS, you ain’t gittin’ anywhere w/ that one.

    Just… disgusting!!!!

Good luck with that. There has never been an administration less interested in American law or the Constitution. these guys should be living in north Korea, for all they care about the USA.

  3. Repubs are not fiscally nor ethically responsible Says:

Must be some good stuff their trying to hide: their asses.

What a culture of corruption the R’s are. I cant believe people actually try to stick up for such shennanigans. If Clinton had done that it would be 10X greater than the Monica wag dogging.

I love the guys at CREW!!! Kick some ASS!!

I find it hard to believe that with all these computers that these emails do not exist elsewhere, such as in the massive databases created by data-mining programs.

Clear violation of the Presidential Records Act, and yet a civil suit is the best we can hope for.

Our government is running completely out of control, and most citizens don’t give a shit.

Hmm, I wonder what happen between 03/03 and 10/05 that would constitute what amounts to the electronic version of paper shredding? Plans for the Victory Party?

Yes but it makes it so much easier to make it up as you go along

    #5 I agree - hire a couple teenagers . . . they’re so computer literate they’ll find the missing emails . . . with probably a bunch of other stuff too

  14. expat001 Says:

Wasn’t this law put in place by a Republican Congress to make sure the Clinton E-mails would not be destroyed?

  15. Lawrence E. Rafferty Says:

Where is the Justice Department or the FBI? Shouldn’t one or both be investigating this obvious violation of the Presidential Records Act? Sen. Leahy needs to get his committee moving on this ASAP. The gloves must come off and they must go after these criminals.

  16. deedee relation Says:

At this point little be done, while their in office. Perhaps, after they have left the White House. Look at all the things this group has done and there has been no repercussions.

    The Gettybush Address

Four score and seven million lost Emails ago, our forebushers brought forth on this continent a new regime, conceived in lunacy and dedicated to the proposition that all Bush crime family members are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil discourse, testing whether that regime or any regime, so constipated and so daffy, can long endure…

The “democratic” government that does it all in secret! Cheney is chronic offender. As a public servant, I don’t care what “branch” he’s in, as the second in line in a “democratic” government he should second in line in regard to transparency. Nope! He’s not going to let us know who visits him on government time. Bush has 5,000 emails but they’re secret. Bush and Cheney and their thugs have been mining data illegally but because they say so, it’s ok and…they will not provide “any” information on what they are doing with communications data. Bush won’t let Miers or Rove or others who worked for him talk to congress and when he feels threatened he pardons his convicted advisor Libby. This is a secret downright oppressive regime and we are in a lot of trouble.

  19. Chocolate Jesus Says:

I wish them the best of luck on this lawsuit.

I’m concerned issues of standing may torpedo the case, but we’ll see…
