Yes, congressman gillmor did contact our household to participate in a town hall meeting via telephone conference call. He got mostly softballs until I pressed him on Iraq.

He was a staunch bushite for many years and sent propaganda letters one after another.

After much stammering about “bad intelligence”, he said he favored a withdrawal.

Perhaps he was suicided. He wasn’t very old.

Death is a solemn occasion. Unless the guy was someone really, really bad, like Osama Bin Laden or Jerry Falwell, then I think we should probably let this family grieve and close this thread.

My congratulations to the family of the late republican traitor for being free of him at last.

His background was in financial services. And then he moved into politics as a republican. In Congress he helped pave the way for the republican policies that are resulting in the meltdown of our economy and the destruction of our society.

He enabled those who have stamped “National Security” on every piece of treason they have fashioned. And he enabled those who have trashed our Constitution and our form of representative democracy.

Enough said. Good riddance.

What are you talking about? Celebration of death and incapacitation of democratic party leadership has been SOP with the right forever.

It has been nothing but hypocrisy with the party of family values and compassionate conservatism for decades.

After all the damage done to America by the republic party, we should all be celebrating the gradual disintegration of their hold on power, even if it’s only the slow drip-drip-drip of individual deaths by natural causes.
