Sept. 8 (Bloomberg) — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid urged Republican colleagues to help end the war in Iraq and redeploy the U.S. military to defeat al-Qaeda.

“Osama bin Laden remains on the loose, making videos, mocking America, planning attacks,” Reid said in the Democratic Party’s radio address, three days before the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the U.S.
