A group of Baghdadis watching the testimony of Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker yesterday were “unimpressed.” “I don’t think this will change anything in our country because the Americans will never leave Iraq,” said Saleh Adnan, a car mechanic. “For me, the main report will be the one which announces the American departure.” A recent poll found that nearly 70 percent of Iraqis say the escalation has “worsened” their lives.
The shorter Petraeus report…
Bush – “We’re kicking a*s”.
Iraqis – Please stop.

It’s a fairly shallow lie. Aside from the Kurds (who have never experienced a large American military presence), almost all Iraqis want us out now or very soon.

It’s the poll posted yesterday that said 47% of Iraqis want the U.S. to leave immediately. Bigfoot is therefore jumping to the illogical conclusion that the other 53% do not want the U.S. to leave.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:25 amO’Reilly: Give Petraeus 1,000 More Dead Soldiers To See If The Surge Will Work
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO2Wg5P8utA
O’Reilly says himself that even though “the USA is likely to lose another thousand killed in the process” we should give Petraeus “the resources he needs within a year’s time…”
Two more F.U.s and a thousand more dead soldiers, give or take a couple hundred, that’s all Bush needs to be able to pass this catastroph*ck onto the next President.

“The autumn 2007 poll reflects growing disillusionment with the occupying forces’ presence in Iraq. There is a growing consensus among respondents that coalition troops should leave the country immediately.
Some 47% of respondents now back an immediate withdrawal, compared with 35% in February.”
Looks like O.Bigfoot is pulling number out of his. . . . Well, you know.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/10_09_07_iraqpoll.pdf
How long do you think US and other Coalition forces should remain in Iraq?
Leave now – 47%
Remain until security is restored – 34% (And that would be decided by who? Pres. Bush and his “six more months” forever level of success?)
Remain until the Iraqi government is stronger – 10% (And that would be decided by who? Pres. Bush and his “six more months” forever level of restored?)
Remain until the Iraqi security forces can operate independently – 7% (And that would be decided by who? Pres. Bush and his “six more months” forever level of operate independently?)
Remain longer but leave eventually – 2%
Why do right-whiners never finsih a job they claim they can do? Why do they always ask for “six more months” no matter when or what you ask them?
Why do righties refuse to take responsibility for their actions? EVER?!?!?!?

He’s basing that on the link given in the article for this section. It says the following:
“47 percent now favor “immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces,†a 12-point rise since March.”
Based on that Bigfoot decides that if 47% want immediate withdrawal then 53% want the U.S. to stay. An incorrect assumption I’ll bet as many of the others want the U.S. to leave, just not “immediately”. Much like the Dems want the U.S. to withdraw, just not immediately. Bigfoot likes to twist stuff to meet his preconceived notions rather then thinking.

World Public Opinion polls show that overall, 70% of Iraqis want us gone (some say immediately, others say gradually). No matter how you look at it, O. Bigfoot is dreaming when he thinks 53% of Iraqis want us to stay.
The Sunnis are more likely than the Shiites to want us gone (a whopping 94% of Sunnis want us out, with 83% saying leave immediately). The Kurds are the most sympathetic to our occupation — only 40% say we should leave.

September 11th, 2007 at 10:37 amIf Republicans know so much about how to win the war in Iraq, why couldn’t they win it in the first four years, when they had virtually unlimited funding and support from a Republican Congress?
They invaded a country with the population of Ohio, told us the war would not take more than six months, that we would be greeted with flowers, that the “mission was accomplished,” and that the war would be paid for with Iraqi oil revenues.
Repubs: If you know so damn much about how to win the war, then why don’t you win it??

You make a good point SW! The right-whiners couldn’t “win the war” in the first six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the second six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the third six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the fourth six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the fifth six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the sixth six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the seventh six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the eighth six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the ninth six months, so they asked for six more months.
They still couldn’t “win the war” in the tenth six months, so can you guess what they’re asking for now?!?!?
Why can’t righties take responsibility for their failures?
September 11th, 2007 at 10:44 amAuthoritarian cultists like Bigfoot will never abandon their manly protector Bush. They will cling to one lie after another rather than face reality.

I think you meant to lable him correctly as the “Republican Strategist, Usam bin Laden”, as Pres Bush wouldn’t have been elected in 2004 unless he had his buddy bin Laden to scare some of the votes for him.
Also, he’s always conveniently around to be spoken of whenever Pres. Bush’s approval ratings take (yet) another dip.

It was NEVER about WINNING at all, it’s always been about maintaining a long term continued presence for the benefit of Halliburton, weapons and defense manufacturers/contractors and foreign oil, all at the expense of American and Iraqi lives, the quality of our military and trillions in defecit owed to the Chinese. Meanwhile Bin Laden sits in Pakistan laughing at the sheer ignorance of this pig-headed administration and the core Republican obstructionists that allow this to continue unabated AS LONG AS THEY POSSIBLY CAN!
September 11th, 2007 at 10:53 amAn internal al Qaeda message, intercepted by the U.S. in 2006, stated that al Qaeda wants the U.S. to remain in Iraq due to the huge “surge” in recruitment of al Qaeda terrorists resulting from the Middle East’s anger towards the War.
Looks like Bush is listening to Osama.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:56 amThe Iraqis and soldiers say the surge has failed yet General Petraeus reads what the White House has told him to say. General Petraeus like the other Generals have turned their backs on our troops. Senators visit Iraq for 10 hours and say it’s great, Iraqis who live their with pictures say it’s worse then under Saddam. Now the White House wants more money to give Iraq to make sure they have job, water, electricity, homes, schools and a government. We are asked to make Iraq a new country will we’re losing ours. When we stop handing out money like candy it will be the Iraq people that kick us out. No money get out, as long as the taxpayers are handing out free money nothing will change. The White House gave the report to General Petraeus to read if he found a spine and told the truth he would be fired and replaced.
