Who would want Lieberman to represent him, when the man is clearly in this for himself and for his own personal agenda. He is not loyal to his constituency, nor his country, nor his party — he is loyal only unto himself and his desires, and to the extent that he can use his power as Senator to gain what he wants.

Everyone has got Lieberman wrong. He doesn’t care one way or an other which party’s in power and he doesn’t care at all for anybody serving in the military. All he cares about is what’s best for Isreal. And that’s the US fighting in Iraq and, even better, in Iran. This man is just one more religious bigot that puts his religion and his tribe before his country. If his religion were Islam instead, he’d be perfectly at home in Mosul, or Anbar or maybe Western Pakistahn.

#154 – “1.) reduce troop strenth in Iraq, so the people of Iraq realize we arenâ€™t there forever.
2.) start fighting against those who attacked us. Through cutting off of money, black ops to disrupt training camps, and search and destroy or capture the cowards who convince others to die for the cause.
3.) research into alternate fuels to reduce or eliminate our dependence on foreign oil.

I completely agree with you on points 2 and 3. I think #1 should not be implemented until we are reasonably sure we don’t allow another Taliban to become entrenched in Iraq.
