Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) “said Tuesday that he was right from the start about the war strategy in Iraq. ‘For almost four years we pursued a failed policy in Iraq. … I condemned it, I was criticized by Republicans and others for doing so, and I saw it was doomed to failure and I argued for the strategy that is now succeeding,’ McCain said.” McCain has repeatedly proclaimed himself as “the greatest critic” of Bush’s Iraq strategy, even while endorsing “stay the course” from the very beginning.

McCain is over w/. So it goes.

September 11th, 2007 at 9:59 pmwhy does anyone care what this gutless, soulless sellout has to say about anything? Wrong all the time, a coward for letting Rove smear him and his family, and a liar 9 ways to Sunday. what a pathetic excuse for a man he has become.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:00 pmMcInsane lives up to his name. That’s about all he’s been right about - the fact that he’s still insane.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:04 pmMcCain was opposed to Bush’s strategy in that he wanted more troops than Bush sent. So he’s right about what he says at least.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:04 pmYou know, Im kind of flattered about the hijacking…as if Im a big influence here in TP or maybe I touched you a nerve, but this only prove your pathetic state of life.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:09 pmJuan, p is really good at proving our points. Most of the trolls are, because they’re so f*cking wrong all the time, but p is special, in that everything he believes is the opposite of reality. And the daily meltdowns are truly precious, bringing to mind what it must be like to be around a real asshole like, say, Bush. all of p’s puerile, self-defeating behavior is a nice snapshot of rightwing lunacy as shared by their whole pitiful little club. Frank j, liberalismisdead, r-, etc., all run the gamut of intellectual exercise from A to B, and that’s it.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:14 pmHey Juan C,
It just means the TROLLS are LOST!
…no logic, no reasoning, no morals, no argument, no leadership, no pride, no future…
…no identity…
…you’ve won Juan…
September 11th, 2007 at 10:18 pmStick a fork in McCain…he’s done.
What is it with Republicans and their revisionist history? Sure, McCain, you were against it all along. It’s not like there are any like, videos or anything of you saying the exact opposite. No paper trail, nothing.
/sarc off
September 11th, 2007 at 10:25 pmLooks like the nightly cearing of p’s garbage has taken place. smells better in here already.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:27 pmBig papa, there shall be no victory until all war profiteers, war supporters and war enablers have met justice.
These trolls are the ignored, forgotten and sad bunch of people wailing their angst here like specters. They are nothing. They are posts that I just scroll down. Nothing.
I look forward to educate people (the ones that I have the privilege to teach) and possibly make them understand that the deaths of humans dont ever represent profits…
September 11th, 2007 at 10:29 pmMcCain is completely deluded and needs to be taken by the men in white suits.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:42 pmMcCain has proved again that he is senile, therefore he must retire from the Senate, plus end his campaign for President.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:42 pmJohn, there’s a bunco game in Sun City with an open chair for you…… cookies in the afternoon and early to bed….
September 11th, 2007 at 10:46 pmMcCain had me fooled for many years, but now I see he is a gutless, manipulative, arrogant jerk.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:49 pmMuy bien, Juan. El Mundo necesita las personas como usted.

Comment by Jay Randal
I hope not. He’s a parody of his former, serious-minded self. His clowning performance will drive repubs polling even deeper the longer he’s out front.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:51 pmWow, just wow.
September 11th, 2007 at 10:56 pmWayne, puedes tutearme. No es necesario el “usted” :)
Besides there are far far more important and interesting people. I think you know who.
September 11th, 2007 at 11:04 pmSeems the kid in NH is a pretty bright young man
September 11th, 2007 at 11:16 pmMcCain ever critical of Bush’s Iraq policy? McCain has taken ordinary run-of-the-mill men’s restroom ChimpFluffing and turned it into an art form.

September 11th, 2007 at 11:20 pmWow. McCain is so sad. Someone here said it, though. Keep running, Walnuts. I like what it’s doing for the Grand Old Perverts.
September 11th, 2007 at 11:27 pmSo does this mean that McCain was against the war before he was for the war?
September 12th, 2007 at 1:05 amJohn McCain…remind me…didn’t he used to be a Presidential candidate?
September 12th, 2007 at 1:22 amwell, he did say there weren’t enough troops. he fell into the category of “powell-doctrine” adherents like shinseki and general powell himself. that the invasion was legitimate but that we did not put a big enough footprint in theater.
so, your post is only partially correct and somewhat misleading.
September 12th, 2007 at 2:01 amMcCain is completely deluded and needs to be taken by the men in white suits.

Mcinsane was tortured in a North Vietnamese prison and he is not about to forget it. Would you like to be bombed? What would you do to a captured airplane pilot who has just dropped a 500 lb bomb on your family? Would you be kind to him? He went to Vietnam a few years ago and instead of apologizing he justified his role in the Vietman War. That’s who he is!
September 12th, 2007 at 2:14 amYea, when the ragheads hit DC you VERY FUNNY leftist are going to have shit all over your faces; but then a shitty face liberal looks no different than a raghead. September 12th, 2007 at 5:55 amWhy don’t you guys go blow up an abortion clinic, just to take the edge off?
September 12th, 2007 at 8:02 amMcCain is correct in that he has criticized the Bush Iraq strategy from the beginning. But, unlike those of us who thought the invasion itself was a stupid idea, he wanted to go in with many more troops. That could have been effective to accomplish whatever objective he had in mind, but it had one fatal flaw — we don’t HAVE that many troops. And we won’t, unless the draft is reinstated.
As far as his claim that the surge is working, he is just using the dog and pony shows to justify his position. Same old, same old.
September 12th, 2007 at 8:37 amPathetic.

September 12th, 2007 at 9:37 amMy point was a Historical perspective of Muslim conflicts over 700 yrs worth of history too use strategically in Planning too win the peace , It in short conclusion shows , 1st its not a new war of its urban kind, and also its never been stable after Christian Military overthrow, this goes back farther than the 700yrs since birth of The Muslim religion. Christians have been trying to control the Persians and Asians for since its beginning. with the exception , Of
{Jesus Christ}, I Point this too your attention Because He actually stood up against the Roman empire for the Same People who we know call Muslims, His words meaningless too all Ears trying to sell you this war.

Dog and pony shows used to be called “Potemkin villages” during the Cold War. Gen. Petraus knows that, he’s just hoping Americans wil forget.
