McCain: I was right all along.

McCain: I was right all along.

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) “said Tuesday that he was right from the start about the war strategy in Iraq. ‘For almost four years we pursued a failed policy in Iraq. … I condemned it, I was criticized by Republicans and others for doing so, and I saw it was doomed to failure and I argued for the strategy that is now succeeding,’ McCain said.” McCain has repeatedly proclaimed himself as “the greatest critic” of Bush’s Iraq strategy, even while endorsing “stay the course” from the very beginning.

why does anyone care what this gutless, soulless sellout has to say about anything? Wrong all the time, a coward for letting Rove smear him and his family, and a liar 9 ways to Sunday. what a pathetic excuse for a man he has become.

  4. razzle Says:

McInsane lives up to his name. That's about all he's been right about - the fact that he's still insane.

  5. Koe Says:

McCain was opposed to Bush's strategy in that he wanted more troops than Bush sent. So he's right about what he says at least.

  6. Juan C Says:

You know, Im kind of flattered about the hijacking...as if Im a big influence here in TP or maybe I touched you a nerve, but this only prove your pathetic state of life.

  7. ronjazz Says:

Juan, p is really good at proving our points. Most of the trolls are, because they're so f*cking wrong all the time, but p is special, in that everything he believes is the opposite of reality. And the daily meltdowns are truly precious, bringing to mind what it must be like to be around a real asshole like, say, Bush. all of p's puerile, self-defeating behavior is a nice snapshot of rightwing lunacy as shared by their whole pitiful little club. Frank j, liberalismisdead, r-, etc., all run the gamut of intellectual exercise from A to B, and that's it.

  8. big papa Says:

    Hey Juan C,

It just means the TROLLS are LOST!

...no logic, no reasoning, no morals, no argument, no leadership, no pride, no future...

    ...no identity...

    ...you've won Juan...

  9. WTFisitnow? Says:

Stick a fork in McCain...he's done.

What is it with Republicans and their revisionist history? Sure, McCain, you were against it all along. It's not like there are any like, videos or anything of you saying the exact opposite. No paper trail, nothing.

    /sarc off

  10. ronjazz Says:

Looks like the nightly cearing of p's garbage has taken place. smells better in here already.

  11. Juan C Says:

Big papa, there shall be no victory until all war profiteers, war supporters and war enablers have met justice.

These trolls are the ignored, forgotten and sad bunch of people wailing their angst here like specters. They are nothing. They are posts that I just scroll down. Nothing.

I look forward to educate people (the ones that I have the privilege to teach) and possibly make them understand that the deaths of humans dont ever represent profits...

  13. Jay Randal Says:

McCain has proved again that he is senile, therefore he must retire from the Senate, plus end his campaign for President.

I hope not. He's a parody of his former, serious-minded self. His clowning performance will drive repubs polling even deeper the longer he's out front.

  24. Dr. Wu Says:

John McCain...remind me...didn't he used to be a Presidential candidate?

  25. cakewalk my ass Says:

well, he did say there weren't enough troops. he fell into the category of "powell-doctrine" adherents like shinseki and general powell himself. that the invasion was legitimate but that we did not put a big enough footprint in theater.

so, your post is only partially correct and somewhat misleading.

Mcinsane was tortured in a North Vietnamese prison and he is not about to forget it. Would you like to be bombed? What would you do to a captured airplane pilot who has just dropped a 500 lb bomb on your family? Would you be kind to him? He went to Vietnam a few years ago and instead of apologizing he justified his role in the Vietman War. That's who he is!

  37. missmolly Says:

McCain is correct in that he has criticized the Bush Iraq strategy from the beginning. But, unlike those of us who thought the invasion itself was a stupid idea, he wanted to go in with many more troops. That could have been effective to accomplish whatever objective he had in mind, but it had one fatal flaw -- we don't HAVE that many troops. And we won't, unless the draft is reinstated.

As far as his claim that the surge is working, he is just using the dog and pony shows to justify his position. Same old, same old.

My point was a Historical perspective of Muslim conflicts over 700 yrs worth of history too use strategically in Planning too win the peace , It in short conclusion shows , 1st its not a new war of its urban kind, and also its never been stable after Christian Military overthrow, this goes back farther than the 700yrs since birth of The Muslim religion. Christians have been trying to control the Persians and Asians for since its beginning. with the exception , Of
{Jesus Christ}, I Point this too your attention Because He actually stood up against the Roman empire for the Same People who we know call Muslims, His words meaningless too all Ears trying to sell you this war.

Dog and pony shows used to be called "Potemkin villages" during the Cold War. Gen. Petraus knows that, he's just hoping Americans wil forget.

  41. JoeCaribe Says:

    will forget, sorry
