Tomorrow begins the MySpace/MTV Presidential Candidate Dialogues, which “mark the first time in history that viewers at home and online will be able to interact in real time with the candidates.” More details:
On Thursday, September 27, at 12 p.m. ET, Democratic candidate John Edwards will sit down with MTV News correspondents Gideon Yago and SuChin Pak and WashingtonPost.com political reporter Chris Cillizza on the University of New Hampshire campus to answer questions submitted via MySpaceIM and MTV.com. Questions will also be asked by a live audience comprised of UNH students.
Participants will also be able to rate Edwards’ responses in real time — everything from a simple “I agree/disagree” to the decidedly less traditional “Full of bull” — thanks to the Flektor instant-polling tool. A “popular vote” function will allow viewers to compare their opinions against those of the entire viewing community. Poll results will be available online live during each event and archived for future viewing.
Ten other candidates, both Republican and Democratic, will be participating in the dialogues at later dates.
Whatever it takes to include each and every American available is ok by me…….
September 19th, 2007 at 10:43 pmHellooooooooooooooooooooooooo…………
September 19th, 2007 at 10:50 pmIt’s been 8 minutes……………..
Sorry, only 7…
September 19th, 2007 at 10:52 pmIs this necessary? will it help?
September 19th, 2007 at 10:52 pmTen now….
September 19th, 2007 at 10:52 pmLefty, thank (whomever) god!
September 19th, 2007 at 10:53 pmWere you ever left behind by a piratic patriot?
September 19th, 2007 at 10:55 pmgod, am I desperate for attention , or what?
September 19th, 2007 at 10:59 pmI’m sure this will go down in the annals of TP history,
September 19th, 2007 at 11:12 pmeight out of nine by the same poster.
Nine out of ten posters prefer Liberty
September 19th, 2007 at 11:16 pmMake that ten, Raven.
September 19th, 2007 at 11:32 pmIt would probably be better if it was called the Full of Phant rather than Bull. =)
September 19th, 2007 at 11:33 pm(sigh) ….
still no thread on Hill’reh’s health plan ….
Thus far, I think it is the most pragmatic, practical approach that I have heard yet – now discuss.
September 19th, 2007 at 11:41 pmCan I just phone in “full of bull” to all responders now and save some time?
September 19th, 2007 at 11:42 pmNicely done, Psycho President!
I like this ‘dialogue’ idea, it’s more interactive, and the polling should make it more interesting.
September 20th, 2007 at 12:30 amWow, the silence any time John Edwards comes up as the topic is deafening. Guess he doesn’t sell product as well as the status quo candidates. Status Quo may be a vague memory soon.
September 20th, 2007 at 12:39 amGranted the headline isn’t the most interesting item on the list. I am confused a bit though. The posting policy is not to espouse/deride candidates on this blog. Is that realistic? What do we talk about?
September 20th, 2007 at 12:45 amOr for that matter, as long as no one is listening anyway, who cares what we talk about here. But it is entertaining sometimes. Just doesn’t amount to much of anything ….PERFECT!
September 20th, 2007 at 12:50 amWhat do we talk about? How about the fact the world is changing so fast and things are so unpredictable we might just pull off the upset of all times. We the people that is.
A MySpace/MTV presidential candidate mash up. Oh boy, David Rockefeller and his cohorts on the Trilateral Commission iare shitting their pants. Imagine investing 40 years and billions and billions of dollars to gain control of the world and here we the people came along in just a short decade with our computers and internets flipped the cart over.
We are seeing and discussing the ugly side of politics, war, and life. Even the boring side of of all of it too. I just marvel at you and me and all in between. Just by having this conversation we are kicking out the underpinning of a thousand greedy men who sold out our country and our future for their, personal gain.
Yeah, a MySpace/MTV mash up…what will it be in 2012, we might just get a legitimate vote count and maybe some decent candidates too.
So what questions are you going to corner the candidates with?
Are you going to revoke the charter of the Federal Reserve?
Do you understand our debt based monetary system and what is your plan for eliminating this viscous wicked system?
I think that’s where I will start.
September 20th, 2007 at 1:06 amThe shortest distance between two points was never reached through conversation I guess. Would be a good heading for this thread.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:03 amHmm… Mr. Edwards based on the battle between Kenye West and 50 Cent… does this confirm your theory of two Americas?
My second question sir, we covered the boxers or briefs question with Clinton. I would like to further this in light of the poll results from Britney’s lastest trend and do you think this will boost your poll number(s) if you follow suit?
And thirdly sir, upon beiong elected, will you return to appear on TRL?
September 20th, 2007 at 10:23 amIf this guy was donating to a REPUBLICAN , you guys would be all over this

But he didn’t, so we’re not.
He’s a corrupt individual, he got caught, and he’ll be punished.
