The whole world should wake up and act now. Boycott ALL American products. Every country in the world should stop supplying America with its consumables. Every Oil country in the world should start trading their oil in Euros not US Dollars because why should we trade in a currency that has no value and if their is a value then its certainly not stable enough. The world is united on one thing, they ALL hate America and its totally ignorant leaders who are bombing countries they cant even spell, let alone point out on a map. 70% of Americans don’t even know where England is on the map. Hello!
So what if America puts sanctions on every country that doesn’t want to play ball. Nobody wants to play ball with America anyway. All Americans should take a step back, and if they are not to ignorant contemplate what America is doing to the rest of the world. Take a long good look at yourselves and the Monkeys YOU voted into power. Are You happy the way things are? Are you happy that in YOUR country you don’t even have the basic human right of Habeas Corpus – Free Speech.
How can a nation of idiots who don’t even practice free speech and democracy impose those rights onto other nations by force?
Bush is the spokes person for the free world and America. Sorry, I live in a free part of this world, and we are not Bush fans and he does not speak for me or my countrymen. Bush is a Joke, and all Americans who follow this Joke are being laughed at all around the world. You Americans need to educate yourselves and listen to what other people from around the world are saying.
Why do you think they tell all Americans who travel outside on the states to keep a low profile and no openly shout out they are Americans? (There was a time it was cool to be an American).
Only 2% of All Americans have a passport. Out of that 2% over half are military people. That leaves a handful of Americans who are Worldly. Surely a nation with absolute NO knowledge or interest of the rest of the world should reflect that knowledge by pulling their necks in and stop telling US (The rest of the world) what to do.
Only then, once America sorts out their own mess at home, apologizes to Iraq and any other country they have illegally invaded, cleaned up their mess and actually becomes an example to the rest of the world, only then will America possibly be respected again. But until then, I speak for a huge global majority from hundreds of countries. Nobody respects Americans anymore. Nobody likes Americans anymore. Soon, people are going to do something about it and it isn’t going to look good for Bush and his followers. So take head America, your days are numbered and come the elections or in 483 Days when Bush leaves office you better vote in an President and not some dumb monkey.
Your future and lives depend on it.

I agree that war is the lowest form of human endeavor. As to the pot shot theory towards the President, whatever your politics, you don’t have to respect the man (or his administration), but we should respect the position. If we could do better we’d be sitting there.

Hey Big Brother:
Americans of Mandela’s (not Mandella) character are also apparently “dead” – not because of Saddam Hussein but because of fear of this “lack of one iota of common sense administration” which is a deserving magnet for any and all pot shots.
War is the lowest form of human endeavor; and that sadly is what this administration is all about. The attempt to spin another unfortunate gaffe is just so pathetic and wearisome.

I watched and listened to the President’s press conference when this comment was made. I can tell you that anyone with even a minimum cluster of intelligent brain cells would have known that his allusion to Mandella was not that “Nelson Mandella” is dead, but that Iraqis of Mandella’s character are dead because of Saddam Hussein. Are we so quick to belittle our President that all common sense flies out the window in order to take a verbal or written “pot-shot” at him?

Someone, anyone, please give me one example of a genuine (as opposed to one tinkled into his ear) apt Bush metaphor. All I’m asking is for one example that wasn’t just another failed attempt to utilize the same word in a different tense or in a different place in a sentence.
The man wouldn’t know a metaphor from a meta-5. And his anger and arrogance when forced to face his own ignorance, as in this video, is chilling.

He might have been trying to tell us about how Saddam killed off all of the Mandela-like leaders in Iraq, but his little giggle lets us know that someone told him to say this stuff. He really thinks it’s great that the man he wants to be could do that kind of thing. I think he’d like to kill off all of us who disagree with him.

Ever notice how much more easy he speaks when he’s talking about death and destruction? Even in the same sentence. His cute little smirk, and I just love how he laughs at the thought of killing off great people.

Everytime he speaks I wish I lived in Canada.

You Yanks always complain about Bush’s intelligence (or lack of); and yet you re-elected him for a second term.Let’s face it, everyone knew by the end of his first term that thinking and talking weren’t his strong points, so what gives?…. Hi; new here. I have been a huge fan of this site for a while but only now noticed the post under the headlines of the articles.

I realize that Bush was trying to say Saddam killed all the would leaders of Iraq; however, he did say point blank that Mandalas is dead. Even metaphorically Mandalas is not dead as is evident by the link to the biography.

It is true that during Saddam’s reign a lot of the people that could lead left or were killed, however; just as many people of those people have left or have been killed since the invasion.

Saddam, who didn’t killed nor liked Mandela knew that George Bush was in fact trying to kill him, even as he knew that Bush’s handler, Cheney, tried to get Mandela kept in prison after accussing him of being a “terrorist”. Twenty seven years after beginning his fight against the Apartheid regime of South Africa, Mandela stands with many people who thought that, for sure, Americans would choose an idiot for President.

It has been said in this thread and I’ve heard it often from others that we must not take his words out of context, not focus on just the words and understand Bush’s meanings when he makes these blunders. I actually have a co-worker who gets pissed off at me when I bring up such “Bushisms” for this very reason. I can tell the difference between Bush’s meanings and his words. At some point, due to the frequency of such occurances the words have to speak for themselves. I couldn’t get a job if I spoke in the same manner in an interview as Bush speaks to the entire world. It’s a sad state of affairs that we must endure such a imbecile as the leader of our country. His actions and more frequently his words denote a lack of understanding, foresight and intelligence to deal with the issues that face the world and this country. Without the teleprompters it should be obvious to anyone that the man does not have a clue about whats’s going on beyond what is discussed in the brief briefings before the speaking engagement. So often I watch Bush speak after the “speech” is over (i.e. the teleprompters are off) during the question and answer period, the man is just filling the obligatory time. He is without a doubt the most inept president this country has ever seen.
