Long-term presence in Iraq = trillions in taxpayer dollars.
“A new Congressional study finds that President Bush’s plans for the U.S. in Iraq over the next several decades will reach the trillions of dollars, on top of the approximately $567 billion the war has already cost.” The cost of maintaining a ‘Korea-like’ presence in Iraq over the next 50 years could exceed $2 trillion. Thats the real “blow-back” of the modern era. these spooks have plied their trade for decades overseas, and now they are it bringing back onto US soil. they have suddenly realised that their methods of manipulating foriegn states and governments are just as easily applied on home turf.
