ick - i wonder how many down-low hookups were spawned out of that little get-together. not to mention the kiddie-porn networking opportunities.

Our only greatness, sasquatch, is our Constitution - you and your ilk need, badly, to re-read it and understand it. Throwing it away in a hissy fit is the only one sure way to bring this country down, and you guys seem to be hell-bent to do just that, which is why this good website and these good people are here.

We need all good, patriotic Americans to re-find their allegiance to the United States of America, the greatest country ever on the face of the planet.

Ah, so, have you lived in, studied about, or even heard about, each and every other country in the face of the planet? Or is that merely jingoistic emotional chanting?

That's like saying that I like Lone Star beer, and saying that it's the greatest beer ever in the whole universe, which tastes infinitely better than any other beer ever made before... without ever having
tasted any other beer. Ever.

Oh, you mean kind of like the folks here who are constantly calling for the President of the United States to be hung at the Hague? Those kind of folks who post death threats? I think I understand now….

Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 24, 2007 @ 2:03 am

First of all, the word you are looking for is HANGED, not hung. A person is hanged on the gallows, not hung.

Second, real justice would not involve death at all. REAL justice would be the imprisonment of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, William Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz and a significant number of other influential individuals who got us in to this horrible war of aggression.

Death? Nay, death is no punishment to the likes of these. Death is more like a sweet release, to finally be with their 42 virgins. No, these are the kinds of people that deserve to rot in prison for the remainder of their days, watching all of the evil, the war-profiteering, the setting up of dominionist agenda, and so on that they have set into motion utterly undone. Justice would be the permanent presence of legitimate news organizations in their jail cells, shoving their evils, and the world's acknowledgment of their evils, right in their faces.

Death? No, death is too good for them. Death is the easy way out. For all the harm they've caused the world, they have not EARNED an easy way out.

Today he’s going to veto health care bill for our children - yet he doesn’t bat an eyelash about the Iraq War costing americans $500,000 PER MINUTE.

“Throwing good money after bad always results in negative results.” Here he’ll throw a million dollars every two minutes into his war profiteering machine in Iraq (wonder whose pockets this money is lining??) and doesn’t care at all about the health of our nation’s children.

Comment by Veritas — September 24, 2007 @ 8:55 am

Nothing inconsistent here: Dubya has been spending other people's money (and lives) ever since he was a drunken "awl" man in Texas, using Bin Laden money to drill all those dry holes. Then using other people's lives in a vanity war in Iraq and now ignoring other people's children's health.

Just another day in the life of a dry-drunk delusional Repug!

AP today: 47% of New Hampshire voters are "registered Independents" with ideological connection more to Democrats! Hoorah! Hoorah! This is precisely what's occurring nationwide. The number of Independent voters (or unaffiliated party) is rising with each passing week of GOP scandals, foot dragging by Dems in Congress, no candidate really speaking Truth, and Bush continuing to make a buffoon of himself. Case in point: Today he's going to veto health care bill for our children - yet he doesn't bat an eyelast about the Iraq War costing americans $500,000 PER MINUTE.

>36 percent and rising…folks are waking up.

your a moron. you know the poll your citing never had him below 33 percent. 3 points.. probably within the margin of error... wow... how much taxpayer money is being used to for idiotic war pep rallies like the General "my weapons end up in the hands of terrorists" Betrayus report? god knows....congratulations on your 3 point gain.. i can promise you bush will never see even close to 50 percent approval in the lifetime of you, or the cockroaches you call children...

oh, and by the way, the suppoters who matter most to bush (the rich ones_, are abandoning him in droves and backing democrats in 2008...at this point, almost the only people left defending bush are religious nuts not so secretly hoping bush brings on the apolcalypse, white trash rednecks, and defense contractors:

oh, by the way, below is a picture of Iraqi's DEMOCRATICALLY chosen leader and Iran's president shaking hands.

Does an Iraq democratically allied with Iran, with a government like the Palestinians, fit into your definition of victory in iraq, bigfwat?

Or will you continue to deny that giving Iraqis "freedom" may not create a government that is anything but pro-islamic, anti-western, and pro-iranian....

Hey Bigfwat, your such a clear thinker.... when Israel was bombing lebanon, care to give us the ratio of pro-hezbollah to pro-israel rallies in iraq? Would you say I'm a liar if I told you one of those numbers was zero?

O. Bigfoot,

Any citizen of the United States who is hoping for our failure in Iraq has lost their allegiance to their country.

No one is "hoping for failure", we believe that "failure" is staying in Iraq. If I had a magic genie, I would wish for Iraq to be a peaceful and Democratic nation (and that they would forget the last 4.5 years). I would also wish that I had my friends back. But I don't, and you say that Iraq will become this horrible dangerous country if we leave - I am saying that if we don't leave, we will continue to lose any support we have in the middle east. I am also saying that the US is PREVENTING a stable Iraq (not intentionally). It has nothing to do with "winning" or "losing" it has to do with what is best for our country as well as Iraq.

Any citizen of the United States who is calling for our duly elected President to be convicted of war crimes at the Hague, and then be imprisoned or hung, has lost their allegiance to their country.

So if he is guilty of war crimes we should still support him because he is the President? What difference would we be than....dare I say...Nazis. He chose a war that invaded a sovereign country, against the will of the rest of the civilized world (ok - spain, a non-permanent member of the security council, and UK where with us). He subjected the Iraqi people to 4.5 years of war that affects EVERY one its citizens on a daily basis.

Any citizen of the United States who calls our military murderers or terrorists, has lost their allegiance to their country.

I, nor anyone else I would align myself to, nor anyone I have seen posting on this thread has made this claim. Very nice straw men.

Shall I go on?

There is no need. You invoke Patriotism and Fear, as if they are commodities to control people - or justifications for actions when all the original justifications have fallen through. You are falling right into the Herman Goering syndrome:

Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. ...Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

Any citizen of the United States who is hoping for our failure in Iraq has lost their allegiance to their country.

No one is “hoping for failure”, we believe that “failure” is staying in Iraq. If I had a magic genie, I would wish for Iraq to be a peaceful and Democratic nation (and that they would forget the last 4.5 years). I would also wish that I had my friends back. But I don’t, and you say that Iraq will become this horrible dangerous country if we leave – I am saying that if we don’t leave, we will continue to lose any support we have in the middle east. I am also saying that the US is PREVENTING a stable Iraq (not intentionally). It has nothing to do with “winning” or “losing” it has to do with what is best for our country as well as Iraq.

Any citizen of the United States who is calling for our duly elected President to be convicted of war crimes at the Hague, and then be imprisoned or hung, has lost their allegiance to their country.

So if he is guilty of war crimes we should still support him because he is the President? What difference would we be than….dare I say…Nazis. He chose a war that invaded a sovereign country, against the will of the rest of the civilized world (ok – spain, a non-permanent member of the security council, and UK where with us).

Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 24, 2007 @ 3:13 am

If I did hope for failure in Iraq---I would have no effect. I do not have miraculous powers. The White House is in control of everything and THEY have caused the failure in Iraq.

Bush was NOT duly elected either time. He IS guilty of war crimes. He has killed one million innocent Iraqis and 3800 Americans. He has inflicted tremendous terror on Iraq. Torture is illegal. Rendition is illegal. The invasion is illegal. The occupation is illegal. The taking control of Iraq's oil is illegal. It was all based on known lies.

I have allegiance to my country---not the Bush administration. They are doing enormous harm to my country and I am speaking out, like I should.

This war is costing you, me, and future generations $720 million each day:

I first saw the FreeRepublic site when the Jeff Gannon scandal had just broken. They were defending him. I signed up and pretended to be one of them. My first and last comment said "we" should not defend this guy because I had seen evidence that he had no journalism experience and was a male-on-male hooker. My comment would not appear and I was instantly banned for life. I wrote FreeRepublic a few times asking for an explanation and never heard from them.

and between the Prez, and the Congress, that’s where policy is made. Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 24, 2007

Executive signing statements are not voted on by the congress.

The purpose of the link was to show that OVERALL Bush numbers are in the tank. Average them out.

I notice you dont deny the Coulter hate remark, or condone her as anti-american. [that is you dont deny condoning, overlooking her hate speak]

Joining the freepers wouldn't make me more patriotic, nor because you wish it have I lost my allegiance...thats not thinking very clearly.

As usual the (R) talking points are hypocrisy. Value voters, moral majority, integrity, balance the budget...talking points designed by some Luntz that doesnt want you to think logicall but emotionally.
