Hmmm — let’s see. Patriot Act gives the president power to appoint “interim” U.S. Attorneys for INDEFINITE terms without Senate confirmation. Bush decides to exploit said Patriot Act to install bootlicking cronies wherever possible. Bush fires (or pressures into resignation) competent USA’s that HE originally appointed in order to make room for said cronies.

Paulose is a typical Bush crony appointee — hired as an unconfirmed “interim” to replace an outgoing qualified attorney. Is there any surprise that she’s a flaming incompetent?

If calling these people out for their inability to perform their duties was adequate means for the public to dismiss them from duty in order to bring in qualified personnel, we’d have a new government by now.

She’s no better than many of the other thousands of appointees that the Bush Administration has. Accountability is paramount and obviously is not being upheld by higher government staff. At times such as these, it is important to remember that our system of government was designed to be of the people, by the people, and for the people.

If enough people in the US actually cared about their government, they would choose to to reelect any Congressional members. Bring in all new people who have yet to sell their souls to corporations. Then press them to make their first priority be a bill that permanently blocks cronyism from positions filled by the Executive. Having qualified and respectable people fill these positions instead of “yes men” is the only way to bring about positive change in our current government system. Otherwise each President feels they can bring in their cronies and it’s okay. It’s not.

It comes down to all of us to change our elected members in congress. They obviously aren’t doing the job we told them to do.

If her performance was so low then she would have been summoned to DC. Right? So, why does this Kenny boy fly off to MN to meet with her in light of her past failures.

This was private talk. Not a get in line or else, etc. This was a “we own you b%i!ch” meeting!! What do they have on so many people everywhere?

Would secret evesdropping have something to do with this sh!t?
