Wow just like the original energy task force meeting, held on the most public piece of property in our nation, we’re told sorry you just cant know what we secretly are doing at your peril and your expense. All I can say is please ask that Sen. Feingold be put on the Democratic ticket as the VP. Plain and simple we need someone, using the current VP’s power to find out just what exactly our government is doing in our interest. The arrogance and contempt that Richard Cheney is willing to stomp on the publics neck is chilling. Whether he thinks he’s John Adams or not the VP needs to be countered using his own vehicles for power and returned to the bottle from which he was mistakenly released from. BTW, Joe Liberman is NOT an Independent.

Both Germany and Japan, had democratic traditions before WWII, Both governments were subverted and destroyed by the ruling parties. Both of the countries in question, declared war upon the US, and both countries surrendered. Iraq has no democratic tradition, the muslim religion has not had a Renaissance. Nor did Iraq declare war upon, or attack the US. The parallels don’t stack up. Comparing WWII to Iraq is a fool’s mission.
