Wurmser: Cheney ‘does not traffic in insubordination.’

In a magazine story this week, Newsweek reported that a former Cheney national security aide, David Wurmser, had said that the Vice President was “mulling the idea of pushing” for limited airstrikes against Iranian nuclear facilities “in order to provoke Iran into lashing out.” Wurmser, who rarely speaks to the press and has since resigned from Cheney’s office, told the New York Sun that he is being falsely accused. His explanation? Cheney would never let him say such a thing openly:

When asked about the Newsweek story, Mr. Wurmser said, “That conspiracy is unrecognizable to anything I have ever seen or heard or done. The vice president simply does not traffic in insubordination.

Go F yourself, Wurnser. (pardon my insubordination.)

Cheney appears to be losing his grip. There was once a time when anyone associated with Cheney would never dare say a word against him, no matter how long ago the association was.

His loyalty-through-fear technique is losing its teeth. If Wurmser survives this, perhaps others will see what a paper tiger Cheney has become and we will hear more speaking out.

Darth Cheney does indeed traffic in insubordination . . . he just doesn’t tolerate it in others.

Nope, he doesn’t. He traffics in dead Iraqi children, arms to the Middle East ignoring sanctions, slaughtered U.S. military, but not insubordination. Even he has his limits.

  6. VerbalKint says:

Cheney subordinates that get out of line find themselves feeling very tight in the throat.

Do not be insubordinate to dead-eye Dick, he keeps a shotgun handy.

So, then, that means Bush was involved in criminally outing an undercover CIA officer, and that he pardoned Libby in order to cover up his crime, because DICK would never be insubordinate to Bush.

Gee, Mr. Wurmser, given that Cheney throws fits when someone is insubordinate, and given that you were reported to have shared this alarming information with others,

Why was it again you left your employment in Cheney’s office a month ago?
