He uses 9/11 to claim himself a hero when all he did was begin to do the job he hadn't on terrorism and where that job was just to show up like any Mayor would at a terrible disaster. He equates himself to those who dug in that rubble when he mostly did photo ops and attended ballgames. He acts like taking a phone call is proof of love and the result of the terrible trauma that he claims to own. And now he wants to hide bewhind Jesus to avoid criticism for personal failings. No one has ordered him stoned to death for adultery. I doubt Jesus would have said one should not consider whether this person has repeatedly committed adultery and walked away from marriages when casting your ballots. I wonder what Jesus would have said if Guliani , rather than the woman who was to be stoned for adultery under the then law, had been before him and the crowd. He might not have instead said something like "Sorry Rudy but you as a prosecutor know the law of God and the Land must be obeyed and you violated them both. Somebody give me rock! " I doubt it but Jesus certainly would have been more sorely tested than in the Biblical tale. From AP today:

He acts like taking a phone call is proof of love and the result of the terrible trauma that he claims to own.
