When will Rep. Mark Udall submit a resolution against his cousin, Rep. Tom Udall, D-NM? In 1997, as AG of NM, Tom Udall interrogated me about my honorable VA-rated Service Connected Disabilities. Duing the Vietnam War, 1970-1975, Tom Udall fled to a sissy school in England, returning just as the War ended. Apparently, it would have been just too much for him to serve with real men during the Vietnam War. And as AG of New Mexico, Tom Udall issued edicts protecting those who practice sexual orientations of pedophilia, bestiality and necromania from job discrimination and harassment but never issued a single edict to protect Veterans from job discrimination and harassment. Incredibly, Tom Udall "serves" on Veterans Affairs in the House! I am just sick and tired of hypocrite politicians - especially Liberals who embrace Disabled Veterans only long enough to get elected, and then they crap all over them. Wizguru

#263 - "It IS the job of journalists to be fair, and balanced. Something we had not seen in the news for decades prior to Fox News." Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 7:00 pm

And something that Faux News just doesn't understand, what with them being whores for the neo-cons and them espousing a rabid-right-whiner bias.

And once again, a direct invitation to a Rightie to debate why the issues raised in MoveOn's ad are so wrong, and again, ignored.

No surprise.

As for Valerie Plame, Novak wrote about her in his column AFTER Rove confirmed her position in the CIA ("Yeah, I heard that too") and AFTER being advised by two CIA guys to NOT publish her name and position within the agency, to which Novak responded that they weren't forceful enough in their request, which he took as permission to publish.

Fox News presents a balanced view of the news.

Comment by O. Bigfoot

Uh-huh.

Like the morning a few years ago that "Fox and Friends" (damn, I wish they'd get a more mature-sounding name for their show) denounced actor Tim Robbins, an anti-war Democrat, by saying "what does he know about politics? He's just an actor" and a few mornings later inviting a Republican entertainer on the show (Charley Daniels) and asking him, among the first questions, "so, what do you think about this war?"

The MoveOn ad was a direct smear on a decorated U.S. General, the ad itself was very plain in that regard. Rush Limbaugh’s remarks have been taken taken out of context in a deliberately dishonest attempt by the left to create controversy from nothing.
This seems to be a common “modus operandi” for modern leftists.Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 10:05 am

You mean where he calls a decorated soldier (Murtha) a "Phony Soldier" and smears him? You're a hypocrite, and a liar. No wonder you like Rush so much.

Fortunately, just as in the O’Reilly case, the words of Rush Limbaugh’s broadcast are recorded and available in their unedited form. Anyone who wants to hear them can easily do so and make their own honest judgement, rather than rely on the dishonest far-left to do their thinking for them.
Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 10:05 am

You should listen to those recordings, because this post of yours is an embarrassment, as is your hypocrisy!

Fox News presents a balanced view of the news. That is why viewers have switched to Fox in droves. Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 1:30 pm

Balanced? Debunked.

Switching? You haven't seen their ratings lately have you.

People know truth when they are given the opportunity to hear it. Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 1:30 pm

I'll grant you that, which is why the majority of Americans disagree with you on virtually every issue, and don't trust fox - check a poll sometime.

The numbers don’t lie. Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 1:30 pm

You're correct, but you do.

People don’t want to have their news fed to them through the slant of one political point of view. Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 1:30 pm

Some do, that's why Fox has a consistent minority of the population like you that can't get enough of their propaganda.

They want to hear both sides, and make up their minds for themselves. Fox news is number one for that very reason. Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 1:30 pm

If they wanted to hear both sides, they wouldn't listen to Fox, they'd listen to both sides... Debunked again.

You're really crappy at this propaganda thing, O. bigliar.

No one deliberately smeared Joe Wilson merely by disagreeing with his assessment, and no one “outed” Valerie Plame, except for perhaps Joe Wilson himself.

He's a manly man's con, Zooey. He's making his own reality, just like Fox News and Bush Admin. That's why nothing gets across to him. You can call him on his lies a hundred times, document 'em endlessly, and he's just going keep repeating them. He thinks if he says it enough times, it'll become true, because he says so.

He's a stone fraud, period.

Please feel free to copy and paste this on every thread Li'L Footie shows up on. Mebbe we can laugh him offa this site.

No one deliberately smeared Joe Wilson merely by disagreeing with his assessment, and no one “outed” Valerie Plame, except for perhaps Joe Wilson himself.

"The MoveOn ad was a deliberate smear of a decorated U.S. military general, period. "

I find it very telling that Bigfoot gives Fox News a pass when they do it to those they disagree with, yet the tactic is too over the top to be used on an obvious conservative like Petreaus.

"Fox News presents a balanced view of the news."

Slanted is more like it. So when Fox News smears Pelosi or Murtha using the same tactic MoveOn used in their ad, we'll be hearing the same outrage from biggie?

I ain't holding my breath.

O Bigfoot,

It's not the job of journalists, or the news media to be "fair" or "balanced." It's their job to report a story truthfully, and then allow us to make up our own minds.

I know you have difficulty with that concept.

Bigfoot:

"The MoveOn ad was a direct smear on a decorated U.S. General, the ad itself was very plain in that regard. Rush Limbaugh’s remarks have been taken taken out of context in a deliberately dishonest attempt by the left to create controversy from nothing."

Just as the MoveOn ad was for conservatives. You guys took a MoveOnquestion, and claimed it was an assertion of fact. Grow up. Fox News uses the same tactic to smear those it doesn't like, yet you've never complained about that. Why? Is it because it's OK when you're smearing a democrat, but out of bounds when used against a republican? And lest we forget, your side outed the wife of Joe Wilson, a CIA agent, because to conservatives smearing Wilson wasn't enough, his wife was also fair game.

Comment by O. Bigfoot — September 29, 2007 @ 10:05 am

Other definitions of the word "betray":

- To be unfaithful in guarding, maintaining, or fulfilling.

- To deceive, misguide, or corrupt.

- To be false or disloyal to.

- To lead astray; deceive.

- Cause someone to believe an untruth.

All day yesterday none of the supporters of Rush or Patraeus bothered to discuss why the issues raised in the MoveOn ad were incorrect. I asked many times on at least 3 threads about the issues raised in the ad...no takers. Wait...I take that back. 2 people responded. One idiot who I directly asked said that the ad was wrong because it smeared the general, obviously not an answer to the issues. Another one quoted the general in his confirmation speech which as you know occurred BEFORE the surge began; what the general said at that time also does not address the issues in the ad.

The MoveOn ad accuses the general of untruths, of deceiving the public regarding the success of the surge; see the definitions above. It does not accuse the general of treasonous acts; the idiots on the Right are making those accusations. One issue the ad questions is why some types of deaths are counted and others are not, which is a legitimate concern. But just as with other issues regarding this administration and president, most people on the right don't question things; they follow the Britney Spears model: just shut up and trust the President.

The original intent of the surge, as specifically laid out by President Bush and his administration, was to provide additional forces to help control the violence in order to give the Iraqi government some breathing room...specifically in Baghdad...to allow political reconciliation to occur. However, the government has done nothing to make things better, and actually took a summer vacation. Thus the surge has not worked. But like refusing to count certain deaths as a way to show success, the Bush administration recently decided to remove the condition that the gov't show progress on reconciliation, again to show that the surge has "worked."
