On Monday, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) stepped onto the floor of the Senate and strongly denounced talk radio host Rush Limbaugh for what have proven to be out of context statements made by the conservative personality on his program last Wednesday.

Yet, with the exception of a CNN segment aired Monday, and articles by Fox News, USA Today’s On Politics blog, The Hill, NewsMax, and the New York Post, virtually no major media outlets covered Reid’s statements.

Not the New York Times. Not the Washington Post. Ditto all three broadcast network evening news programs Monday, and the Associated Press.

This raises an important question:

AdvertisementHave most major press outlets correctly concluded that the leftwing organization Media Matters did indeed cherry-pick and misrepresent Limbaugh’s statements thereby making earlier reports on the subject erroneous?

Or, did they recognize how hypocritical it would be to castigate Limbaugh for basically reiterating what ABC’s Brian Ross and Charles Gibson reported last Monday evening just two days before Rush made his statements?

Of course, a more cynical view would be that the media – now that it has been shown that Democrat presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton admitted her connection to Media Matters – want to bury this story as quickly as possible so as to shelter her and her husband from any scrutiny concerning these ties.

Regardless of the reason, there’s been a peculiar silence regarding Reid’s statements Monday, and, although the leftwing organization VoteVets.org is about to run a rather disgraceful ad denouncing Limbaugh, most media outlets appear to be running away from this story as fast as they can.

Whether this continues is anyone’s guess, as is the cause.

My Conclusion? These republic wingnuts hate at least 50% of their fellow Americans more than they hate Al Qaeda.

If your doctor was revealed to be a drug addict, and had been treating your family for years while he was high, would you still use him?

Judging by the synchophantic chorus, I guess the answer would be “yes.”

There are “phony soldiers” out there that liberals have held up as genuine in order to push for American Defeat. ABC has done stories on phony soldiers.

When a leading Democrat says that good news from Iraq is bad for Democrats. I have to wonder whose side Democrats are on. They certianly aren’t on America’s side. Winning in Iraq is good. American Victory is good. You people make me sick. You want power for yourselves at any price.

It is the leftists (including some senators) who have bashed our troops over and over and over again! No one “demanded” an apology from any of them. But Mr. Limbaugh gets on a hot topic about a “phony soldier” (you know, one that pretends they served in the war, but never made it out of boot camp) and some lamebrain has to cut and paste the transcript in such a way as to make it appear one of the most pro-troops persons in America was degrading our soldier?!? Shame on all of you!

I’m not accusing anyone of lying by the way. That is a word you people use all the time when you don’t want to deal with the facts. When the facts fail to support your argument you immediately attack the facts. At no point have any of you found a single fact I’ve written to be false. Not one. You may disagree with my conclusion, I understand you can see it your way. It’s not right but it’s not completely illogical. But I wouldn’t call you a liar for supporting Rush, I would simply call you a Dittohead. To me, that’s a much greater insult.

RUSH: There’s a lot more than that that they don’t understand. The next guy that calls here I’m going to ask them, “What is the imperative of pulling out? What’s in it for the United States to pull out?” I don’t think they have an answer for that other than, “When’s he going to bring the troops home? Keep the troops safe,” whatever.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: It’s not possible intellectually to follow these people.

CALLER: No, it’s not. And what’s really funny is they never talk to real soldiers. They pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and spout to the media.

RUSH: The phony soldiers.

CALLER: Phony soldiers. If you talk to any real soldier and they’re proud to serve, they want to be over in Iraq, they understand their sacrifice and they’re willing to sacrifice for the country.

RUSH: They joined to be in Iraq.

CALLER: A lot of people.

RUSH: You know where you’re going these days, the last four years, if you sign up. The odds are you’re going there or Afghanistan, or somewhere.

CALLER: Exactly, sir. My other comment, my original comment, was a retort to Jill about the fact we didn’t find any weapons of mass destruction. Actually, we have found weapons of mass destruction in chemical agents that terrorists have been using against us for a while now. I’ve done two tours in Iraq, I just got back in June, and there are many instances of insurgents not knowing what they’re using in their IEDs. They’re using mustard artillery rounds, VX artillery rounds in their IEDs. Because they didn’t know what they were using, they didn’t do it right, and so it didn’t really hurt anybody. But those munitions are over there. It’s a huge desert. If they bury it somewhere, we’re never going to find it.

RUSH: Well, that’s a moot point for me right now.

CALLER: Right.
RUSH: The weapons of mass destruction. We gotta get beyond that. We’re there. We all know they were there, and Mahmoud even admitted it in one of his speeches here talking about Saddam using the poison mustard gas or whatever it is on his own people. But that’s moot. What’s more important is all this is taking place now in the midst of the surge working, and all of these anti-war Democrats are getting even more hell-bent on pulling out of there, which means that success on the part of you and your colleagues over there is a great threat to them. It’s frustrating and maddening, and why they must be kept in the minority. I want to thank you, Mike, for calling. I appreciate it very much.

Here is a Morning Update that we did recently, talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. They have their celebrities and one of them was Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth. Now, he was a “corporal.” I say in quotes. Twenty-three years old. What made Jesse Macbeth a hero to the anti-war crowd wasn’t his Purple Heart; it wasn’t his being affiliated with post-traumatic stress disorder from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. No. What made Jesse Macbeth, Army Ranger, a hero to the left was his courage, in their view, off the battlefield, without regard to consequences. He told the world the abuses he had witnessed in Iraq, American soldiers killing unarmed civilians, hundreds of men, women, even children. In one gruesome account, translated into Arabic and spread widely across the Internet, Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth describes the horrors this way: “We would burn their bodies. We would hang their bodies from the rafters in the mosque.”

I stopped here. because if you read this you will see what he is talking about and he at no time refers to all soldiers that are against the ware as being phony he only refers to phony soldiers being those that are truly phony

In fact the Democrats have provided aid and comfort to most of our enemies. Their words are echoed back in these countries public statements denouncing the United States. Give a listen to Communist Cuba Radio. Radio Havana sounds like a Democratic Party Commercial.

Rush scare me? Are you kidding? As Keith Olberman correctly refers to him, he’s a comedian. And you Dittohead, his joke is on you.

For God sakes, could you imagine a political party during World War II saying “We’ve Lost” when military personnel were in harms way. Back in the 40’s that would be treason.

Well Harry Ried and the rest of the Democratic Leadership have said, “We’ve Lost the War”. There is not one of you Liberal Democratic Idiots that can defend these unconscionable statements. Statements like this undermine the mission, the president and give aid and comfort to the enemy. This is the ultimate in unpatriotic behavior.
