You take a subject that the masses likely don't think too much about and attempt to use humor to get them to think about the reality. (Usually for satire to be most effective, the humor should be as dark and dismal as possible.) Call me a wet blanket, but I just don’t see the humor in the systematic destruction of the independent, objective media in this country.
