The nonsense is almost over, Limbaugh is the latest in those going under.

If the Democratic party leadership would get off its butt and start impeachments of George Bush Jr. and Richard Cheney we could speed up the end of this junta and help to reduce our collective guilt for allowing intolerance to be given respect.

If the military is going to do this for whatever reason (to protect the soldiers from what people are saying back home?), they should be consistent and ban political talking heads from AFR as well.

As for the phony soldier comment. There are phony people in all walks of life, I am sure they exist in the military. Soldiers are not those who should
supported without question, neither should they be lumped in a basket and declared to be bad people.

We have a volunteer army. They do the job they agreed to do, and while we can appreciate them doing so, and many are patriots, we must remember that if we did not have an all volunteer army, this war was never started in the first place. It is only when the children of the elite and upper class are put on the front lines that we recognize that war should be a last resort and ended ASAP. When Sam Butler from rural Alabama falls, we don’t notice, if a Bush or a Clinton fall in battle, the world cries for an end to the madness. We need more troops named Bush, Clinton, Limbaugh and O’Reilley fighting in Iraq.

Neither of them cut and ran, both of them served honorably in actual combat. They didn’t hide behind deferments, they didn’t create terrible boils on their butts and they didn’t hide out in the Air National Guard.

You don’t have the right to criticize them, anymore than your hero Rush or the other cowards who really did cut and run and avoided serving in the very war they supported in the 60s and 70s, when they had ample opportunity.

How many years of active duty have you got under your belt? What qualifies you to criticize someone who actually fought in combat for this country? You’ve got a lot of gall, you and Rush, Cheney, Bush and all the others who avoided combat during the Vietnam War and now go off on Murtha.

So, it’s OK to dismiss anyone as “phony soldier” if they’re no longing in active service? But if they’re no longer in active service, they’re not soldiers at all (much less Marines). So why would Rush call them “phony soldiers”?
