Call it what it is. That’s what we are, in reality, living under in this country.

Ethics went out the window when you have a conservative culture that glorifies money over everything else. Anything that inhibits maximizing profits is “socialist”. Add the cult of money to the political attitude that the end justifies the means and you have Bushville.

Shouldn’t “a public-trust tipping off lobbiests to give them a headstart on influencing pending legislation” be a crime?

Isn’t that almost by definition “insider trading”? I’m sure that if you hold it up to the light a certain way, you could decide that it isn’t but, ethically and morally, it sure looks that way.

Such was not my intent to depress, however this is a common vision and a logical end product of human occupancy on the planet.
Evidence Dick Cheney, for a glaring example of a ruthless drive to garner power, control, and security for himself, and the figures behind the curtain whom he is a vassal for.
They care not for culture, national identity or the spiritual aspect of human consciousness.
His is the eons old rule of the strong survive, and the weak perish.

How depressing.

The FCC & Clear Channel are joined at the hip. The collusion described above is far more widespread than most realize, encompassing much of the Federal Govt & extending to the stock market.

Insider information keeps Corporate America drooling, knowing higher profits can be gained and getting an unfair advantage in buying or selling stocks.

The NYSE is based upon speculation. Speculation allows long & short term buyers to make money without ever being involved in the production, transporting, marketing or selling of a product. Why do we use a speculative market as a standard for well being?

But, I digress. Is Colin Powell’s Son still head of the FCC? Let’s hope the current Rush stink also leads to an examination of the FCC. Just like the FDA, speculators and self interest are charting our country’s future.
