He intends to FINISH his term, which means he'll hold office until Jan. of 2009!! That's 16 months! He needs to resign right now from the Senate...this man votes on issues that will affect every single American, perhaps for years to come! His party should put pressure on him to do so (very doubtful..since his seat is so competitive), but if they gave a damn for their country, they would do exactly that. Announcing her candidacy so soon on the heels of Dirty Peter's announcement smacks of opportunism. She may be hoping to gain the oil, gas and weapons lobby, but the fallout from the scandals, plus the progress this state has made under Bill Richardson's lead gives her about a snowballs chance in Hatch.
