Asked his opinion on the wisdom of mounting airstrikes against Iran, Iraqi national security adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie left little doubt about his country’s position. “A big fat no,” he said.
Where’s Condi, and more importantly, where’s Dick Cheney?

Excellent question, Nevar. When Big Dick hides out for several weeks, you just know shit will hit the fan soon. They really need a big diversion right now, so I assume Big Dick is working on that.
A veteran Shiite political figure, al-Rubaie says that tougher measures are required against Iran but that they must be balanced by attractive incentives for cooperation. “They have to pay a heavy price for interfering in the internal affairs of Iraq,” he says, “but at the same time, we have to talk to them and engage them and show them the carrot.”
I would love to know the specifics of what al-Rubaie proposes. It seems like China and Russia will block anything further in the security council regarding the nuclear program….I just don’t see how to make Iran pay “a heavy price for interfering in the internal affairs of Iraq.” It seems like just a bunch of words.
Why does al-Rubaie hate the march of freedom?

Even GDumbya should understand that answer . . . it’s all one-syllable words.
October 5th, 2007 at 9:57 amIt appears Iraq has more diplomatic skills than the Bushies.
I’m not surprised.
By the way, where’s Condi?

October 5th, 2007 at 10:02 amBy the way, where’s Condi?

Perhaps. Maybe she’s trying to beat the record of that Phillipino President’s wife. Didn’t she have over 5,000 pair?
I guess when you’re a single woman in your 50’s, shoes are all that’s left to make a girl happy.
October 5th, 2007 at 10:06 amyeah, but he hasn’t heard all the awesome points that roger_roger has made about bombing iran.

#2, in addition to it being a 1 syllable word, its letters are RIGHT BESIDE each other in the alphabet!
a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z
October 5th, 2007 at 10:08 am#9 — that would be helpful . . . if GDumbya knew the alphabet.
October 5th, 2007 at 10:10 amDidn’t Maliki and the Iranian government agree to a “mutual defense pact”? So, if we bomb Iran the Iraqi government has to declare war on the USA?
October 5th, 2007 at 10:12 amWhere’s Condi, and more importantly, where’s Dick Cheney?
October 5th, 2007 at 10:13 amDick goes into the man-sized safe when the sun comes up.
October 5th, 2007 at 10:16 amOf course, if we bomb Iran, Iraq has been identified with us and will be the country that takes the brunt of Iran’s counterattack.
Wouldn’t you think the Iraqis would accept that out of gratitude for what we’ve done for their country ?

‘You’re in good hands with Big Dick’
October 5th, 2007 at 10:17 amI can’t think of any more doomed career choice than being the Iraqi national security adviser.
October 5th, 2007 at 10:20 am“When Big Dick hides out for several weeks, you just know shit will hit the fan soon.”
He’s been basically out of sight for some time now, other than his secret meeting with that extremist right wing cabal in Utah…
October 5th, 2007 at 10:20 amThis is not good.
Well since dubya doesn’t really understand spanish how can he be expected to understand ‘no’.
October 5th, 2007 at 10:27 amROFL,
As if Bush or Cheney care what the Iraqi’s think of using their country to launch air strikes on Iran.
