Glenn Beck to Muslim-American guest:

By Faiz Shakir on Oct 6th, 2007 at 11:19 am

Glenn Beck to Muslim-American guest:»

“How do we know the difference between you and those that are trying to kill us?” In Nov. 2006, Beck made a similar comment to Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN). “I have been nervous about this interview with you,” Beck said, “because what I feel like saying is, ‘Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.’”

Beck is an idiot. Worse than that he is a shameles bigot and that is a dangeorous combination.

  2. Wayne Says:

Beck won the coveted KO’s “Worst Person in the Woooooorlld!” for this sh*t, yesterday.

  3. Damien Says:

Ignorance and fear. Hallmarks of a free press.

  4. PrahaPartizan Says:

How does Beck manage to smile so much while sitting in a pile of poo in his pants all of the time? Whatever happened to the “…home of the brave”? We already know what happened to the “…land of the free”.

  5. kdoug Says:

Beck’s world view is based upon his extensive travels to Reno NV.

Hmmm, I thought it was from his travels to Armpit, Alabama.
    =D

  7. Briseadh na Faire Says:

Well, I suppose we can take some comfort from the fact that our national anti-Muslim hysteria hasn’t risen to the level of the anti-Japanese feelings during WWII. At least we haven’t rounded up all Muslims, confiscated their property and thrown them into concentration camps….yet.

  8. upside99 Says:

If he were 30 years older, Beck would have been in charge of turning on the gas jets at the ovens at Auschwitz, no doubt about it.

  9. barfly Says:

Paging Daryll! Fake Christian needed on aisle nine!

    But seriously:

BECK: Well, no, but this isn’t — but wait, hang on. This isn’t hurting anybody. They’re also banning watching sports or soap operas, walking dogs, family photos, wedding bands, Western hats, mingling, shaking hands with the opposite sex. They are banning all of these things, which will completely separate us. Are these the kind of people that will say, “The U.S. Constitution is a good thing” or “The U.S. Constitution is a bad thing”?

As if Beck’s ilk doesn’t do the same, in essence, by constantly ragging on about “decadent Hollywood” and Americans’ “loose morality.”

  10. gummitch Says:

I was flipping channels trying to find the Red Sox game yesterday and inadvertently turned this gomer’s face loose on my television. I almost dropped the remote trying to get him off before I had to have the tv exorcised. I suppose when we let people like Paris Hilton set the bar so frickin’ low, we deserve nothing better than toads like this.

  11. katy Says:

and he naturally twists it around to make HIM the victim…
he thinks they are thinking about him…

“… ANYbody that tells ME i can’t have pumpkin pie and a drumstick,
    you’re an extremist.”

    who said you couldn’t, beck?

  12. Wilco Says:

I saw some of his show yesterday too, and actually agreed with him somewhat!
He was attacking Hillary on many things, but he was right to go after her on her plan to give every newborn $5000 to get interest on to use however he/she sees fit. For those counting, if the US’s current population level stagnates (not likely), that’s $20 billion/year!
But still, he’s an absolute tool.

  13. Lesly Says:

Ye shall know them by their t-shirts.

    Duh.

  14. loretta Says:

No wonder the sale of Viagra has gone through the roof in the last several years.
Guys like Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity etc, etc, etc are so friggin scared of everyone and everything around them that they can’t um, perform normally without a pill or a 5 year old child to turn them on.
They scream and bluster, pretending that they are so tough, and no one else can protect us but them–when it’s really the opposite. They are crying for help–

  15. katy Says:

well, for the record - IGNORANCE and FEAR are actually

the hallmards of a CLOSSED and OPPRESSED society…

  16. Marie Says:

Beck is a shameless bigot who panders to similiarly bigoted viewers. I think it is disgusting that CNN continues to pay this guy — they claim to be a news organization.

  17. barfly Says:

“When they start blowing up gay bars and stoning fornicators. Then the left will start rounding them up.”

To keep them from harming all the closeted republicans…

Your tax dollars at work! No thanks necessary.

  18. upside99 Says:

When they blow up soldiers, twin towers (aka “evil capitalist”) and the pentagon. Nope no roundup.

When they start blowing up gay bars and stoning fornicators. Then the left will start rounding them up.
    Comment by Vendetta — October 6, 2007 @ 11:58 am

SO, your answer is to round up all the Muslims? Where are you going to put them? How do you know who they are? Maybe a WHite neighbor of yours is one.

What about the OC bombing? Want to round up all redneck, Limball-worsipeing NRAl members? Get them in a cage too?

  19. upside99 Says:

I did not say that. I said the left will when their interests are threatened.
    Comment by Vendetta — October 6, 2007 @ 12:12 pm

When was the last time the Dems did that? My recollection is the Repugs (Nixon) did that to the anti-war protesters during Vietnam and are trying to do that now.

Think you may have your parties mixed up.

  20. gummitch Says:

Remember it was a Democratic Pres FDR who first signed the order to lock up Japanese Americans and the glorious Supreme Court which approved it.

    Comment by Vendetta — October 6, 2007 @ 12:21 pm

Ah, but you said “the left” will round people up. The “left” in the US has never done any such thing. It’s just the sort of stupid and false generalization about “the left”, the little farting noises that issue from you that mean absolutely nothing.

  21. katy Says:

it’s nice to have our very own concern troll,
but it’s not worth keeping if it derails the thread topic…
especially if it turns the topic to itself…
    it’s not that interesting…

  22. RUCerious Says:

Why is Ben Gleck so askeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeert?

  23. upside99 Says:

Thne only people that we need to round up are the prex and Dubya, and have them sent to the waterboarding spa at Gitmo.

  24. upside99 Says:

And FDR and Truman were the last presidents to win a war.

  25. Mugsy Says:

Reply: “How do I tell the difference between you and some Christo-fascist that wants to start WWIII?”

It was John Wayne and Ronald Reagan.

    Comment by Vendetta — October 6, 2007 @ 11:58 am

Timothy McVeigh was a white Christian who blew up little children in their daycare center.

When will the round up of white Christians begin? They’re clearly quite dangerous to our children.

  28. RUCerious Says:

Let’s start rounding up ignorant white boys on faux news channels.

    Gitmo don’t need no reservations.

  29. Zooey Says:

I love it when the trolls insist on demonstrating their cowardice, ignorance and stupidity all in one fell swoop. It makes me anticipate the elections of ‘08 even more. But, thanks for ‘06, trolls!

  41. Xisithrus Says:

Sounds like Blechh is against the Iraq Freedom Operation.

  42. Jay Randal Says:

    Zooey you are a fascist.

    Comment by Vendetta — October 6, 2007 @ 12:45 pm

ReallY?!? Zooey wants corporate-controlled government? She wants a totalitarian regime that has a small number of very wealthy people in control of all policy? She wants to round up everyone not of a certain lineage and segregate them or murder them?

Ohhhhh, she was pointing out the idiocy of your statement:

“When they blow up soldiers, twin towers (aka “evil capitalist”) and the pentagon. Nope no roundup.

When they start blowing up gay bars and stoning fornicators. Then the left will start rounding them up.”

…by pointing out that certain individuals seem to indicate a desire to, or an acceptance of, rounding up people of Muslim descent because “they [all] attacked us”, yet, when presented with the fact that at least two, possibly three (*cough* anthrax *cough*) of the last four major terrorist attacks on U.S. soil were done by fundamentalist, right-wing, Christian American citizens. Counting the abortion-clinic bombings/fires, and the like, you are talking way more instances of domestic-originating terrorism versus foreign-originating terrorism.

So, by the logic coming from said certain percentage of the citizenry, if we round up all of the Muslims because of 9/11, we should also round up all of the Christians. The same criteria must apply.

You missed the point entirely, and immediately resorted to an ad hominem.

In other words, you conceded the argument, for you had no legitimate rebuttal.

    Again.

Which is why I have clicked on that nifty little button titled, “Report Abuse” in every post you’ve resorted to ad hominems. I will continue to do so until you (and others too, incidentally, including those who are progressive) either stop resorting to such, or receive your rightfully earned banning.

  46. Zooey Says:

    Well said, Moderation. :)

    So far, your finest post.

  49. Gregor Samsa Says:

How do we know Beck is not one of those White Christian anti-choice freaks, bent on blowing abortion clinics?

How do we know he is not a White supremacist who will blow up a federal building on the next anniversary of the Waco debacle?

He better show proof that he is neither or surrender himself to be “renditioned” to Guantanamo.

    /sarcasm off

    Beck is a blithering idiot.

  50. Evil Spaniard Says:

And how we do know the difference between Beck and Tim McVeigh?
