Good Lord. . . time for a reality check.

Iraqi civilians are terrified of us with good reason.

We’ve got to clean our own house . . . oust the lobbyists, outlaw mercenary forces, oust Christian zealots from our three branches of government, adopt a no-tolerance policy towards corruption and restore the America for which our forefathers sacrificed their lives.

What does he have to lose ? Congress would just nod and sign the Bill.

The only candidate who will end the war, and most importantly prevent future unjustified and harmful wars, is Ron Paul. “We just marched in, we just come home.”

When ya think about the ramifications of building that enormous embassy compound, ya have to wonder. I’ve laso read and heard snippets about the US building 9 major, PERMANENT bases all over iraq too. Doesn’t sound like we intend to leave anytime soon.

Not quite sure how this will prevent the next 20 guys w/ boxcutters from trying something when they’re ready.

Another lie, just like the San Fran columnist who claimed her child was drawing anti-war pics with his/her crayolas – my ass.

No five-year-old could construct / conjugate a sentence like that, much less put together the concepts. No, that sentence comes only from those who have been over educated – indoctrinated – into a non-viable belief system that runs contrary to common sense.

When we leave, Iraqis are free to tear those walls down, but while we are there, we will do what’s practical to quell the violence, so that reconciliation can be completed.

In the news today is more progress towards reconciliation, so I expect we will depart in a few short years:

Why are we still there? To a large degree I think it has simply come down to protecting Bush’s fragile ego.

That’s what this administration would like you to believe, but the simple truth is that this administration never planned to leave. Perpetual war in Iraq means justification for a permanent military presence in the M.E., as well as a permanent “state of war”, with all the enhanced Executive powers that are justified by it, here at home.

A reporter friend of mine explained how it works, any pictures that are taken are done in a way to make it look like less people. Also, if there is a blip on the news the count is always under the actual.

Yup…if these protests are covered in the MSM at all, they report the attendance as anywhere from one-fifth to one-tenth of the actual number.

What’s interesting is that the Jena protests were accurately reported, but any objective reporting of the protests against this criminal junta that has hijacked our government are suppressed in this manner.

Add to that the increasing violence and thuggery of our own police in suppressing dissent, and suddenly, the moonbats that claim we’re living in an Orwellian police state don’t seem nearly as batty…
