Terror experts endorse Spitzer’s drivers license plan.

While right-wing anti-immigration forces have denounced Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s (D-NY) plan to provide undocumented immigrants with drivers licenses, terrorism and security experts believe it could be “a way of bringing a hidden population into the open and ultimately making the system more secure.”

These so-called terror and security experts are just looking for a back door for their national ID system.
Why can’t they just admit they want bar codes tattooed on everyone’s forehead at birth?

no amount of talk or protesting is going to change things.

You’re right — paradigm shift without a clutch. Watch for some exploding heads.

CNN is re-running Larry Kings interview with Vicente Fox on CNN Headllines news right now. Talking about Bush and immigration.

Personally, I would favor this legislation. I live in an area with a lot of illegal immigrants, I would rather they had a drivers license than not. Almost all of them that I have talked to seem like really good, hard working people. But there is, of course a criminal element there too. I think the drivers license idea presented here would go a long way towards tracking that element.

  8. Art says:

Again, the right wing has denounced something without thinking it through.

This is an example of left-wing bigotry. The vast majority of right wing is not “Anti-immigrant”. All we want is for them to come in through the front door, not climb in through the bathroom window at night.
