The global warming alarmists remind me of the scientists who told us 30 years ago that the we would deplete all the fossil fuels in the world by the year 2000. It scared the crap out of us as kids – whe had gas rationing, etc (thanks again Jimmy). Then some crazy scientist invented the fuel injector and wham, overnight we solved the running out of fuel story.

The worst part of falsely pointoing the finger is that once proven wrong, you lose any momentum to correct what is actually a problem, fossil fuels.

BTW, someone mentioned earlier that fossil fuels ar ehte biggest problem – actually cows (animals in general) are…

Gore is egotistical, sucking down huge quantities of fossil fuels and using far more energy than he needs to and still stands up there to collect this award. Stay with it folks, keep feeding his ego. If he really cared, he would promote global video conferencing – but you don’t get to feel the crush of the adoring fans on a video conference, and can’t sit with world leaders for Chilean Sea Bass (endangered) and sip fabulous wine. You have to fly your private jet to make all that happen….

I somewhat agree with you on this, such as the vegetarian who wears leather shoes. However, I think the Global Warming acceleration is caused mostly by Fossil Fuels, and that is where we need to focus. More efficient Lithium ion batteries, Solar power, and such. Hydrogen Fuel cells will still keep the oil companies polluting. What would be needed there is a method of separating hydrogen and oxygen without pollution. I believe that is why the push for electric cars is far less than Hydrogen Fuel Cells by the major oil and car companies.

Oh bullsh*t. Talk about taking a comment out of context. You did watch the entire clip, did you not? They were ripping Gore’s win from the very beginning. If he doesn’t know if the criticisms against Gore are true or not, then he also questions Gore’s claims which are the BASIS of the criticisms.

At any rate, I think I’m done here at TP… I’ve corrected the record, though I never expected TP to make the correction.

Think Progress LIES and misquotes Doocy, by claiming he said this:

In reality, that last sentence should say “I don’t think ANY OF US DO“.

Then everyone tries to excuse it by saying “it makes it all he worse”, etc. etc.

But (here’s my A-HA! moment), it’s because you’re all too stupid to pay attention to what he ACTUALLY said, in context.

What he’s saying “I don’t think any of us do” about, is in reference to Brian listing the inaccuracies cited in the ruling that just happened in the UK, regarding Gore’s film. In fact Steve is saying that he doesn’t know if those inaccuracies, are actually inaccurate!

Get it? He’s not saying that he doesn’t know if Gore’s claims are true, he’s saying he doesn’t know if the criticisms of Gore are true. You should be happy, if anything!

I don’t remember who said that yesterday, but the court case in England cost a lot of money to pursue. It would be interesting to learn whether the law suit and the money trail lead back to British Petroleum.

It’s sad that so many people (not the people here) get their news and views from Fox News. Fox News is on at the health club every time I’m on the treadmill, and its anchors are nothing but genetically perfect faces without a brain or a conscience.
