If you’re saying what I think you’re saying, don’t worry. Just like there are many patriotic Americans willing to suffer the consequences of their beliefs, Iraqis are also patriotic people. They’re under the gun right now and looking for ways to escape, just like we would.

I was being a little sarcastic, foreyes.

I realise the Iraqis have no illusions when it comes to the intentions of the US; which is why the insurgency is proving so resilient.

However, this makes the position of the Bush administration even more untenable; after all, they’ve been repeating “we will stand down as they stand up”. Seems to me they’re standing up now, thank you.
